Are links that are disavowed with Google Webmaster Tools removed from the Google Webmaster Profile for the domain?
-
Hi,
Two part question - First, are links that you disavow using google webmaster tools ever removed from the webmaster tools account profile ?
Second, when you upload a file to disavow links they ask if you'd like to replace the previously uploaded file. Does that mean if you don't replace the file with a new file that contains the previously uploaded urls those urls are no longer considered disavowed?
So, should we download the previous disavow file first then append the new disavow urls to the file before uploading or should we just upload a new file that contains only the new disavow urls?
Thanks

Answer to First question: I don't think anybody knows yet as Disavow just hasn't been around long enough yet. But what I read is that it causes Follow links from the "bad" domains to list to be considered NoFollow links and therefore harmless.
Answer to Second question: Yes, yes, and no. I wrote about this in another posting yesterday here: http://moz.com/community/q/google-disavow-file-update
Good luck!

If you are resubmitting you must have all links in the file
I would use http://www.removeem.com/
there made by http://www.virante.org/ & they are Moz Recommended so you can't go wrong &
It's not expensive
Hope I was of help,
Thomas

[Question] 880 old back links suddenly disappeared from google console
Hi everyone Last month I bought a premium domain from an auction, right after I bought the domain, I added it into google webmaster tools. It showed me site traffic, and 893 backlinks. So until today, all those backlink count was there. And when I checked the console today, it shows only 13 new backlinks which I started building last week. what has happened to all those old 880 old backlinks?I checked from Moz, those backlinks are still there. Am i doing something wrong? Or is this another Google dance? URL https://goread.io

Best way to link to 1000 city landing pages from index page in a way that google follows/crawls these links (without building country pages)?
Currently we have direct links to the top 100 country and city landing pages on our index page of the root domain.
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | lcourse
I would like to add in the index page for each country a link "more cities" which then loads dynamically (without reloading the page and without redirecting to another page) a list with links to all cities in this country.
I do not want to dillute "link juice" to my top 100 country and city landing pages on the index page.
I would still like google to be able to crawl and follow these links to cities that I load dynamically later. In this particular case typical site hiearchy of country pages with links to all cities is not an option. Any recommendations on how best to implement?0 -
Webmaster Tools Content Keywords & Meta Tagging
In Webmaster tools , Content keywords give an indication of what Google thinks a site is about. This site is a health site ( online shopping - health supplements ) - but one of the terms it thinks the site is about is "Dollar" . I'm guessing this is because on every page there is Currency Selection from multiple currencies. How do I tell Google that this part of the page is nothing to do with what my site is about? Thanks for your reply in advance!

A couple of our main domains have disappeared from Google
I work with a company that has way too many domains. Over the last year or so I have been working on consolidating them, and removing duplicate content. Yesterday I did Google search for a couple terms that we are normally number one for, and we don't show up anywhere in the first 300 results. I see no warnings in Webmaster, and I can see that this happend a couple days ago. Here are the domains that have gone missing:

www.gaso.com
Desc: Tons of good info about Gaso Pumps
Tems: Gaso, Gaso Pumps www.gasopumpparts.net
Desc: Part Lists for specific Gaso Pumps
Terms: Gaso Pump Parts www.IEQindustries.com
Desc: Company Website
Terms: IEQ Industries Here are some domins that still show up:
www.wheatleygaso.com
Desc: Searchable Pump Catalog with pump specs www.wheatleypump.com
Desc: Used to be a "duplicate" gaso.com, but mostly has links to gaso.com now. www.trenchless.org
Desc: An old incomplete site We also own a bunch parked domains that we created a generic landing page for, like:
http://www.gasopump.co/
http://www.gasoparts.co/ Many of the sites are on the same VPS server, not sure if that is causing a problem. To me it shouldn't matter, we are not trying hide anything. The sites with content serve different purposes, but we are working at consolidating them to simplfy things. The landing pages are mainly meant to park the extra domains we have. I am not terrible concerned as we are offering legitimate products and services, and we are trying to do the right things, but my client is very concerned. My question is this, what is your best guess as to what happened, and what should I change? Thanks in advance!

Clickable links in Google SERP
Hi, I came across clickable links appearing below the meta description in Google SERP. The links are not necessarily the top pages for that particular domain and sometimes tend to reflect the newly added stock. Is there a way to determine what factors account for this? Thanks, mryxN.png

Google Disavow Tool - Waste of Time
My humble opinion is that Google's disavow tool.... is a utter waste of your time! My site, http://goo.gl/pdsHs was penalized over a year ago after the SEO we hired used black hat techniques to increase ranking. Ironically, while having visibility, Google itself had become a customer. (I guess the site was pretty high quality, trust worthy and user friendly enough for Google employees to purchase from.) Soon enough the message about detecting unnatural links had shown up on the webmaster tools and as expected, our rankings sank and out of view. For a year we had contacted webmasters, asking them remove links pointing back to us. 90% didn't respond, the other 10% complied). Work on our site continued, adding high quality, highly relevant unique content.

Rankings never recovered and neither did our traffic or business….. Earlier this month, we learned about Google’s "link disavow tool" and were excited! We had hoped that following the cleanup instruction, using the “link disavow tool”, we would get a chance at recovery!
We watched Matt Cutts’ video, read the various forums/blogs/topics online that were written about it, and then we felt comfortable enough to use it... We went through our backlink profile, determining which links were either spammy or seemed a result of black hat practices or the links added by a 3rd party possibly interested in our demise and added them to a .txt file. We submitted the file via the disavow tool and followed with another reconsideration request. The result came a couple of weeks later… the same cookie cutter email in the WMT suggesting that there are “unnatural links” to the site. Hope turned to disappointment and frustration. Looks like the big box companies will continue to populate the top 100 results of ANY search, the rest will help Google’s shareholders… If your site has gotten in the algorithm crosshairs, you have a better chance of recovering by changing your URL than messing around with this useless tool.0 -
Should I use both Google and Bing's Webmaster Tools at the same time?
Hi All, Up till now I've been registered only to Google WMT. Do you recommend using at the same time Bing's WMT? Thanks

Domain Links or SubDomain Links, which is better?
Hi, I only now found out that www.domain.com and www.domain.com/ are different. Most of my external links are directed to www.domain.com/
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | BeytzNet
Which I understand is considered the subdomain and not the domain. Should I redirect? (and if so how?)
Should I post new links only to my domain?0
