MOZ Starter Crawl Not Working
-
Hello,
I just added a new subdomain as one of my campaigns on MOZ. The starter crawl report keeps coming back to me with just one page crawled (it should crawl up to 250 pages). I've deleted and added this subdomain three times and it continues to present me with this problem.I've even waited a week for the full crawl report but that also showed just one page crawled.
Does anybody know why this is happening?
Thanks!

Hi. We are still having an issue with this initial crawl. How can we stop the server from timing out? Is there a certain setting that could be prohibiting the moz crawl?
The site, www.cuptainers.com seems to be up and accessible with no down time.
Thank you,
Andrew

Hello Andrew,
This is Abe from the Help team at Moz! After looking into your campaign with 1 page crawled, I think I have found the culprit. Your server seems to be timing out when we attempt to contact the host. Your web admin can usually fix this from there side of the controls. You can verify this timeout by downloading the CSV from your Crawl Diagnostics in this campaign and scrolling to the right. One the server allows us, we will be able to crawl your site without a problem.
I hope this info helps!

How do I know which keywords to track in my MOZ Campaigns?
Good morning Mozzers from the London, England. This may be a silly question to many of the community, but here goes "How do I know which keywords to track in my MOZ campaigns?" I work in the gyms section in the UK and am tracking keywords like "Gyms in Liverpool" or "Manchester gyms" which send me some traffic. I can see search terms like the above do send me traffic from Google's Webmaster Tools, but obviously this tool won't highlight the keyword opportunities I am missing out on because I currently don't rank. Any guidance on this dilemma would be hugely appreciated, Kindest regards Ben

Is it normal for Moz to report on nofollow pages in crawl diagnostics?
I have a dev version of my website, for example, devwww.website.com. The htaccess page has a noindex and nofollow request, but I got crawl issues reported from these pages in my Moz report. Does this mean that I don't have the development site hidden from search like I thought I did?

Moz WordPress Plugin?
WordPress is currently 18% of the Internet. Given its huge footprint, wouldn't it make sense for Moz to develop a WP plugin that can not only report site metrics, but help fix and optimize site structure directly from within the site? Just curious - I can't be the only one who wonders if I'm implementing Moz findings/recommendations correctly given the myriad of WP SEO plugins, authors, implementations.

Does SEOmoz work for fully secure sites (https)?
We have created a large file sending service (https://digitalpigeon.com) and for obvious reasons we have secured the entire site (we used to have a trial file send form on the homepage so it made sense to secure everything with 301 redirects from http to https) Because we, somewhat naively, started out with a memorable name and domain - Digital Pigeon - where all of our competitors just keyword stuffed their domains we don't really rank for any useful keywords yet. For me, building domain authority via links is more important right now that any on page SEO that is going to be trumped by google's infatuation with domain keywords anyway. Here's the problem though, it seems SEOmoz and even Google Webmaster Tools and Bing Webmaster Tools all fail to take into account inbound links for both http and https for any reports or analysis! I'm wondering if utilising SEOmoz PRO for keeping tabs on our MozRank is pointless if it's not accounting for all inbound links

A suggestion to help with linkscape crawling and data processing
Since you guys are understandably struggling with crawling and processing the sheer number of URLs and links, I came up with this idea: In a similar way to how SETI@Home (is that still a thing? Google says yes: http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/) works, could SEOmoz use distributed computing amongst SEO moz users to help with the data processing? Would people be happy to offer up their idle processor time and (optionally) internet connections to get more accurate, broader data? Are there enough users of the data to make distributed computing worthwhile? Perhaps those who crunched the most data each month could receive moz points or a free month of Pro. I have submitted this as a suggestion here:
