Adding logo to graphics/memes/etc?
-
Do you all think it is best to add your logo/brand (in some small way) to graphics/meme/ etc that you create? I understand that the most important part about creating said content is that it is of high quality and usefulness to our audience, however, after something of that caliber has been created, have any of you noticed any difference by adding or not adding your logo/brand?
Any suggestions, stories, resources, etc are always appreciate.
Thanks in advance for your time and input,
Ruben

If you're adding a logo for the sake of preventing image theft, it might not be such a great idea. Watermarking your images won't necessarily prevent people from stealing them. Adding a logo to your images serves more to increase the exposure of your brand, when people view your images or share them across the web. Companies creating infographics would be a good example of that.
Here's an article that would be relevant to this topic: http://blog.photoshelter.com/2010/09/watermarks-protecting-your-images-or-damaging-your/
Hope that helps!

It's important to include a small logo, that way if the graphic is not correctly attributed to you, it is still associated with you or your company. Include a small non-obtrusive logo on the bottom of the graphic. Professional photographers, infographs, etc. usually include a logo, and perhaps a link. Just be sure that including it doesn't take away from the graphic.

If its your own content I always like to watermark it just to stop it begin stolen and duplicated. I don't see it taking away from the impact of the content (though it does of course depend on the size of the content to watermark). As long as the content is good people can look past watermarks etc.
