Keyword Difficulty Showing ONLY Bing Search Volume (Exact Match)
-
Hi
I am using the "Keyword Difficulty" tool and selecting "Google US". But the report that gets generated shows "Bing Search Volume (Exact Match).
Is there any way to get "Google Search Volume (Exact Match)" being shown in the report?

Also, due to the recent Google Hummingbird update, searches in Google are now secured whether signed in or not. The (not provided) keywords You see in Google Analytics will increase from this point on. I hope this doesn't mean the end of organic keyword data - how useful will the Keyword Planner tool be from this point on? Maybe someone could shed some light on that topic..
Will we be forced to rely on Bing to estimate search volume for keywords?

Schwab, you are spot on.
About a year ago Google restricted access to this data to MOZ and many of the other big SEO software players in the industry. As an interim fix they now show Bing results. If you would still like to see the Google data you can get it at the link below via the keyword planner tool (you must be logged in):

The "Google US" means that they are analyzing the top results on Google to determine the keyword difficulty.
Google does not let people use their AdWords API (where Moz would pull search volume from) if they violate guidelines. One of the guidelines was that you cannot scrape search results (which Moz does to determine Google US difficulty). I believe the keyword search volume was switched to Bing data work around this issue. I do not believe there is a way to have the Google search volume display in the keyword difficulty tool.
Any one feel free to correct me if I got any of that wrong.

I get this on every product, but i have put the keyword in the H1 tag makes now sense
Why it's an issue:Although using targeted keywords in H1 tags on your page does not directly correlate to high rankings, it does appear to provide some slight value. It's also considered a best practice for accessibility and helps potential visitors determine your page's content, so we recommend it. Over-using keywords, however, can be perceived as keyword stuffing (a form of search engine spam) and can negatively impact rankings, so use keywords in H1 tags two or fewer times. To adhere to best practices in Google News and Bing News, headlines should contain the relevant keyword target and be treated with the same importance as title tags

Negative difficulty and priority scores in keyword report
Hello! We have recently tracked a number of keywords into Moz's Keyword Explorer, but for a number of them the difficulty and priority scores are all -2. We don't rank currently for these so does anybody know what is causing the difficulty to be in negative figures? Thanks!

Ambiguities In The MozBar Keyword Difficulty Checker
Hi, This is more of an observation rather than a real issue. But I noticed that when I check a keyword difficulty in Google by pressing the button that appears I get a different % result to the same keyword placed in the campaign. I suspect that it is something to do with being in the UK, however, If for instance I go to google.co.uk and place in the search bar IT support company Portsmouth I get the result 44% appear but in the keyword difficulty tool I get the result 34%. It seems to do this on all the keywords I have checked. I also checked both US and UK results in the campaign but neither of these came up within the 10% difference of the toolbar. Like I mentioned though, not a criticism, just an observation, its still a very handy little tool. EDIT 06/18/14: I thought I would just add that I am now getting some seriously odd results. For instance, if I put in the keyword 'hairy blue widgets for sale in Outer Mongolia' it returns a difficulty level of 71% ??? Thanks

"Avoid Keyword Self-Cannibalization" - can't find the problem
Hi, I understand what this means (or at least I think I do!), but I can't find where the problem lies. The keyword is "fire warden training" and the url is http://www.tutis-fire.co.uk/fire-warden-training-courses/ If anyone could lend a helping hand, I'd appreciate it.

Keyword Tool using Bing instead of Google
I'm trying to analyze some keywords, and I've selected 'Google' and 'United States' - but when the ranking comes back, it is showing up as the rankings for Bing. Any idea why this continues to happen? Thanks!

Rankings Tool Shows 'Wed' for Most Keywords
Hi Folks, I have 300 keywords in the moz rankings tool but I would say over 90% of them simply show a 'WED' icon instead of the icon. It has been like this for nearly 3 weeks now. Any ideas why this is? Cheers Gaz
