What is the best tool to look at Internal Links?
-
My site has on average 220 internal links a page largely due to how the site is built ie every page shows every link via the menu system, which isnt great, but from what i have read there isnt much i can do about it.
However, this week 3 pages jumped to over 400 links and the home page over 500 internal links, GWT will only show me 200 of them, Is there a tool that i can use that will list all my internal links, so i can find out why this has happened?
Thanks
Ash

Hi Ash,
Like Tom, I am a huge fan of Screaming Frog.
Another option is Xenu's Link Sleuth which is completely free, while the Screaming Frog free version has a 500 URI crawl limit.
I personally think it is worth it to purchase the licensed version of Screaming Frog... but I also need to for my site.
Good luck.

Hi Ash
I love using Screaming Frog for this. Great name, great tool, great price (free version!)
To help you, check out this hugely useful guide from SEER Interactive. Specifically, this section looks at how you can find all of your internal links.
Hope this helps!

How do I find links on my site
I'm looking to find a certain type of link on my site. A link that we're directing out of the site. We have a lot of subdomains though and I was wondering if there was a way to find all the links on each subdomain without screaming frog them all?

Enabling Webmaster Tools data within Analytics
Hello, Im having a hard time connecting webmaster tools within Google Analytics i want to be able to see search queries in GA That's what Google tells me to do : "You can visit the Property Settings page in Analytics account management to change which of your Webmaster Tools sites' data you wish to show, and control which profiles on your Web Property have access to view the data." I cant find "Property Settings Page" in google analytics, or anything that has to do with "Webmaster tools" I was wandering if you can help me on that 🙂 Thanks

Difference between site: search and Total Indexed in Google Webmaster Tools.
This morning I did a search on Google for my site using the site: operator. I noticed that the number of results returned was significantly different than the "Total indexed" in Google Webmaster Tools. What is the difference and is it normal to have two very different numbers here?

Google WebMasters Tool - Preferred Domain
I just added Google Analytics to my wordpress site with Google Analytics by YOAST. I then added Google WebMaster tools through via verify through google analytics account. I then tried to set a preferred domain. I chose the non www. version; however, google wanted me to verify ownership of both versions in order to set a preferred domain. I then added the www. version of my domain. I was able to set the non-www. version to my preferred domain. Now, there are two example.com's in my webmaster tools. I have 10 sites. I intend to replicate this process on all of my sites. Do I have to leave the non-preferred version of my sites in the google webmaster? Can I delete it after I have set my preferred version? If I delete the non-preferred version will it delete my setting on the preferred version because it is now no longer verified (saved)?

Count of links
I am using free link API to get total number of internal links,
Reporting & Analytics | | Ravi_Pathak
external links, follow links and no follow links by using *
http://lsapi.seomoz.com/linkscape/links/* url. I have given following attributes along with the url as, SourceCols=4 TargetCols=4 Scope=page_to_page Sort=page_authority Limit=1000 Filter=nofollow By implementing this, I am getting array for each filter and by counting
array size, I can get the count of total links. This is a long procedure and seomoz link API is taking a long response time. Is there any way by which I can get the total number of link for each
filter directly ? Or is there any other alternative ?0 -
Regional or Internation?
Hi everyone, I was trying to find an answer for this question for long time, and finally since I've got a Pro in SEOmoz i can ask the community. I have two domains: www.versaillesdentalclinic.COM - i have it from 2008, currently its my main domain www.versaillesdentalclinic.AE (Regional domain for Google.AE) - bought recently So my question is how I can use the regional domain, in order help me get higher rankings in Google.ae. Shall I do 301 redirect from .com to .ae. Tell Google in webmaster panel that i moved from .com to .ae and try to concentrate my SEO campaign on .ae. Or all this are useless and doesn't worth it? I've heard that Google give a priority do regional domains, but how big is this priority? Thx in advance, Russel

Too Many On-Page Links
I'm getting the warning of "Too many on-page links". I have a number of affiliate marketing sites, all Wordpress, all with sidebars. In the header navigation bar is a link that offers "reviews" and links to each product/brand. This is not a drop down link but leads to a page with product links. Also, in the sidebar I have links that also lead to the products/brands. Redundant yes, but in the beginning this seemed to be a good practice in site design. It would be easy to simply remove the widget that contains the link process in the sidebar. The problem may simply be that the sidebar is the same for every page in the site(s). Is this hurting total SEO as my sites are all over 95-percent indexed. One site in particular does very well in traffic and sales so is removing these links potentially going to improve my SEO and ultimately by success? Thanks, Don
