What are some good SERP visibility tools?
-
With keyword data from Google on its way out, we're losing our ability to discover what keywords a website is ranking for (you can do ranking checks, but only if you already know what keywords the site is ranking for).
What are some good SERP visibility tools? (i.e. you enter the domain name, and the tool lists which keywords the site ranks for organically, etc.)
I know SpyFu offers this, but they seem to be PPC focused and perhaps not very accurate. I know other companies offer it, but I'm blanking on which ones.

Hi Adam
We recently read a blog post.. It was quite usefull. We have still some more time before we walk talented but blind in the dark after 100 percent not-provided data. Here is Ruth`s blog post about alternative tools and analysis one by one http://moz.com/blog/keyword-volume-tools.
Hope that helps

hi Adam,
I would start with good old webmaster tools. Check the impressions/queries area. As they havent removed that yet.
SEMrush is also quite good.

Tracking PDF downloads from SERP clicks
For the longest time, our company policy has always been to put PDFs in a secure folder (hence they are not indexed and do not appear in search results). After evaluating this strategy, there has been clamor in recent months to allow Google to index our whitepapers. My question: Once PDFs start appearing in search results, what is the best way to start tracking clicks due to these "downloads"?

How to prevent channel identifiers from showing up in the SERPs?
We append our urls with channel identifiers (?cid) to help us analyze where traffic is coming from. Recently, our appended urls with channel identifiers are showing up in the SERPs. How can we stop this from happening and prevent in the future? Has anyone had similar issues?

Google SERP showing a URL with UTM_source attached - why? Can I stop it?
I just found a Google search results page showing a URL with a UTM source tag attached. Any idea how or why this has happened? How can I stop it as I'm guessing this is overwriting my organic visits with referrals from this site. See attached photo for pic of SERP page. The link is going here: http://employment.govt.nz/er/holidaysandleave/parentalleave/?utm_source=newzealandnow.govt.nz 5vxTDTi.png

Difference in incoming links between web masters tool and moz
Why are incoming links to my site in Google Webmasters tools totally different then in MOZ? Which is correct? According to Google as of this week I have hundreds of links coming from linkarena (dot) com (Never heard) Does any one know who they are or if they are hurting me? I definitely did not pay them to put me on there. It looks like a German site. Thank you.

UK SERPS update
Hi All, Anyone else seeing major changes in the google.co.uk SERPS results.Across about 12 different clients we have seen gains and loses. Sub pages seems to be suffering more than homepages. Any idea what has been targeted? With think it might be anchor text but were not sure. Noticed first dips on Monday and it has been rolling out across different niches all week. Thanks

Google vs Bing/Yahoo SERP results?
I see large differences in Google and Bing/Yahoo SERP results for many keywords. Google shows many of our primary keywords in their top ten, while Bing/Yahoo rank the same one 40-50 or above. Do you have any insight on their differences that might account for this variation? We are legitimate, long time, white hatters at a small manufacturer that is one of the leaders in our industry. The only thing I can think of that might describe this issue is PPC advertising. Their algorithms wouldn't be that inconsistent would they? (We do much more paid advertising on Google) But generally this should have no affect, right? Thanks, George...
