How to handle subdirectories in Moz and Webmaster Tools?
-
I have 3 websites:
- http://www.abc.com (English pages)
- http://www.abc.com/fr (French)
- http://www.abc.com/de (German)
Webmaster Tools
In Google Analytics: I created an Account called ABC and created 4 properties with relative filters
- ABC Default (No filter)
- ABC English (filter to exclude /fr, /de)
- ABC French (filter to include /fr)
- ABC German (filter to include /de)
In webmaster tools, I wish to add 3 sites
- How do I validate each url with Google analytics, considering I just want the specific language for folder.
- How do I validate the domain name http://www.abc.com to always ensure the inclusion of the default english data?
MOZ
- Do I need to create 3 campaigns (one per language) and if yes, again how do I handle http://www.abc.com which should exclude /fr and /de?
Thank you

Anyone else has any idea ?

Thanks for your answer.
What is everyone else doing?

Hello!
For multi-language sites we recommend using sub-domains to completely isolate one language opposed to having a sub-folder configuration.
There isn't a way that I know of that would allow you to exclude /fr and /de which would not allow you to track them at all if they are blocked in your robots.txt file.
For both configurations you will need to create 3 campaigns.
Someone from the community may know of a workaround as there isn't one we are aware of. I will set this to a discussion and hopefully someone might be able to chime in.

How many times have you reauthorized your facebook account for Moz analytics?
I have hardly any facebook data, because Moz constantly needs me to reauthorize it. It's extremely annoying, but I wanted to make sure this is a Moz error and not a user error. Is it just me or do other people have to keep doing this as well? Thanks, Ruben

MOZ Not Picking Up Facebook "Likes"
For some reason MOZ is not registering the number of Facebook likes my corporate Facebook page has. Over 700 likes have accumulated, yet MOZ is showing zero. It is strange because MOZ has picked up three Facebook "shares". Does anyone have an idea how this issue can be corrected? Thanks,

Where can I find documentation for the different SEO Pro Tools?
I apologize if this has been asked and answered or if the documentation is right in front of my nose, but I can't find it. I'm looking for information that explains what the various tools do and in particular, what each of the fields in the reports mean? For example, what does the "Find Links on this Domain" link mean in a Juicy Linkfinder Report? I know there are lots of resources on SEO and best practices and so on, but wondering if documentation on the specific tools exists. Thanks.
