Makeoverfor our Facebook page titles! question about open graph and Google
-
Hello,
We have two Facebook pages for our company, one in English and one in Arabic.
A few weeks ago we wanted to change the Facebook page titles but this option was not allowed for both pages.
Now Facebook is giving us an option to change the title for both pages:
We had a lengthy discussion regarding the best way to name our Facebook pages.
Currently our Facebook pages titles are:
For the one in English: "X"
( X - our brand name in English*)
For the page in Arabic: "X - Arabic"
( X- our brand name in English*)
We agreed to change the title for the page in English to:
X - (The main 3 keywords in our brand's field in English)
( X - our brand name in English).*
for the Arabic page we suggested to change the title to:
X - (The main 3 keywords in our company field in Arabic)**
( X - our brand name in English).*
**** We will translate the main 3 keywords to Arabic**
We have a few questions:
- How does the search work in Facebook? Does the open graph algorithm take into account the page's content and/or its title and description?
- Is there any preferred way to name the Facebook pages? We were debating using the company's slogans versus the main keywords for our brand. ? Or should the title contain just the brand name?
- What components of the Facebook page title and URL affect our page's visibility in Google for a search on our brand name? It's important to mention that Google currently does not show the Arabic page in the 1st page in Google.
Thank you in advance for your help!

For starter, I think the Facebook page name change was a hit. Well done, that is the option I would choose.
As for your questions:
- Links from facebook does not count towards your Website's SEO. It helps SURE, as when users search for your brand they will be able to see your facebook page on the SERPs. However, it doesn't bring any direct benefit to your main homepage (other than socially).
- As said, the names you used BRANDNAME - SLOGAN is the right way to go. As they keywords will only help rank that page. Think USER.
- Have you tried searching in arabic to see if your arabic facebook page shows up?

Why isn't open graph working for this URL?
When I post this URL (http://goo.gl/iDMsJq) to my Facebook page, the image is small, and it isn't pulling the correct description. I checked FB object debugger, and it looks fine - so why isn't it working properly when I post to Facebook? https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/og/object?q=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.healthline.com%2Fhealth-slideshow%2Fquit-smoking-timeline

Twitter Tool Question
I've been searching for a tool that will allow me to send mass tweets to multiple @accounts? For example, I use Topsy to see who's shared my content and want to send a follow up tweet to everyone who has, but find it time-consuming to do this manually. What I have in mind is something where I can upload a spreadsheet of Twitter names, write one tweet and for this to be tweeted at everyone on the list. I haven't found what I'm looking for so far. Does anyone know of such a tool?

Google Autor Profiles in Big Companies
I work for a big company and they want to use the google autor tag. The goal is to get the rich snippets and better rankings in the future from having a trusworthy autor for each topic building up followers basically. The problem is that the company does not want to pay employees to build up their own autor profiles/trust since an employee could leave the company any time and we would have to start from scratch building another autor profile. Now I know that google only wants real people in google plus bla bla ... bla bla ... How do you guys handle this problem? I thought of having our autors sharing one made up autor profile which is owned by the company.

Facebook Like Wall
Here is a Facebook question: I would like to hide some content behind a Facebook wall - i.e. only make it visible to users who press the like button. Something like the New Yorker did with a Jonathan Franzen story. My question is: how do I do that? Thanks! Thomas

Buying Facebook Likes
It's quite easy to buy Facebook likes & fans these days. You can get 200 for five bucks at fiverr. I am sure that most of the likes are from fake accounts. But do you think it will have any affect anyway? And is this black hat SEO or is it just collateral from trying to boost the # likes / fans?
