Webmaster tools is throwing up an error for this page http://www.itwasntmyfault.com.au/testimonial/sharon-m/
HTTP Error: 404 - When we tested a sample of the URLs from your Sitemap, we found that some URLs were not accessible to Googlebot due to an HTTP status error. All accessible URLs will still be submitted. The page is fine.... any advice? Thanks

I've had a look at the page and like Martijn said it seems fine to me. I also crawled it as Google bot user agent and it returned a correct 200 status.
It could perhaps be a temporary server issue and the page/site is going down intermediately? You could check your server logs to see if there has been any issues? You could also try a free up time checker such as one of these: 10 Free Services to Monitor Your Site's Uptime.
If the error keeps happening and the page isn't actually going down, might be best to raise the question on Google's support forums; unless of course someone comes along here with the answer!

Hi Martijn
Thanks for the quick response, i have marked it as fixed but i also did this last week but its flagged it again this week.
Strange one
Cheers

Hi Robert,
If you're sure that the page is working fine (it also seems to me, I've just tried) then mark it as fixed within Google Webmaster Tools and don't worry to much about it. Only when you have to deal with hundreds or thousands of 404 pages you could get in trouble someday.

What tools or tactics do you use to identify which ranking factors Google is weighting for your industry or keyword?
Google ranking factors are increasingly more complex and less universal. Google is emphasizing different ranking factors for different scenarios. What tools are available that can help identify which ranking factors Google may be weighting for a given query or industry? For example, are there any tools that provide correlative analysis of Google's rankings for a given keyword?

Google Webmaster Guideline Change: Human-Readable list of links
In the revised webmaster guidelines, google says "[...] Provide a sitemap file with links that point to the important pages on your site. Also provide a page with a human-readable list of links to these pages (sometimes called a site index or site map page)." (Source: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/35769?hl=en) I guess what they mean by this is something like this: http://www.ziolko.de/sitemap.html Still, I wonder why they say that. Just to ensure that every page on a site is linked and consequently findable by humans (and crawlers - but isn't the XML sitemap for those and gives even better information)? Should not a good navigation already lead to every page? What is the benefit of a link-list-page, assuming you have an XML sitemap? For a big site, a link-list is bound to look somewhat cluttered and its usefulness is outclassed by a good navigation, which I assume as a given. Or isn't it? TL;DR: Can anybody tell me what exactly is the benefit of a human-readable list of all links? Regards, Nico

Is there a tool that I can use to scrape and see metatags?
Looking for a tool that allows me to scrape the websites off a page listing of Google and output a spreadsheet with the websites and their related meta-tag details (mainly title tag). Is there a tool out there that can conveniently allow me to do this?

Disavow Tool Submitting 2nd File
Hi About 2 Months ago I submitted a Disavow File using the Disavow Tool I have collected more links and I am ready to upload a 2nd File, However should I download the previous file in Webmaster Tools (Disavow Tool) and add these new links to that File or if I just upload and override the existing file with this file containing new links only will that be ok. What I dont want to do is do something that removes all the previous findings from the list so that google cannot see them anymore. I guess what I am trying to say is does Google just refer to the live file I am updating / overriding or once I have submitted a file weather i remove it or not will google still have a record of it and be referring to it ? Thanks Adam

Anyone know of a tool to monitor site for outgoing links?
Is there any type of tool that can monitor a large website's outgoing links? I'm dealing with a huge site and was hoping there was something available that could check outgoing links without having to go through each page manually. (I'm looking to remove anything that links to a bad neighborhood). Thanks.

I want to check content (Keyword Density and such) for a page before I load it to the server. The Term Extractor Tool is great for pages already loaded on the site but what if I want to scan content before I upload it? Is there a tool out there where I can cut and paste content from a program like word and have it scanned for keyword relevancy prior to uploading it? Thanks

Tool for Generating Sitemap/ URL List
HI, I'm looking for a tool that'll generate a URL list for a site. I looked at this thread here http://www.seomoz.org/q/online-sitemap-generator which came up when I searched for sitemap generator. However, I don't need a sitemap per se, and I don't need to submit it to Google - just a list of pages is what I need.If it updated automatically, that would be useful as well. Anyone know of a tool, on or offline? Or anyone used Xenu and know if it's what I'm looking for? Or is there a simple solution that I'm missing? Thanks.
