How are you supposed to manage your backlink profile?

If you have a site that has 200k+ backlinks, and you are receiving anywhere from 1-4k new links daily (according to majestic), how are you supposed to manage your link profile?
We don't do any black hat tactics or any link building, and at the rate of new links coming in, we are afraid that Penguin might hit us one day. We have never used the disavow tool yet either.
What are we supposed to do exactly?

We have had over 9k new backlinks shown daily on majestic as of late...I notice many site wides, and then some that are relevant.
I can't see google expecting us to manually review them all!

I agree with Jesse and Takeshi it seems like you have a good thing going on, but if you are afraid of where the links are coming from or who is building them I would look at the anchor text.
Also I would take a look and see what websites are linking to you. At a rate of a 1,000 it'll be hard to view all of them but view a few of them and figure out why they're linking to you? Is it just spam or do you actually have great content on your website? This might help from a content building strategy as well.

Well if you're getting that many links - I would keep a close eye on your 404 pages. How is your link velocity? What I would do is try to get involved in the conversions online. Go get buzz bundle and monitor your brand and keywords there and at that rate you said will be able to maybe increase/influence conversions.

Like Jesse says, you don't have to worry about it too much unless you suspect people are intentionally spamming you. It may be worth it to pull a weekly report of backlinks, and filter by things like DA and anchor text to see if there are any alarming trends, but otherwise I wouldn't worry about it if you have a solid backlink profile. Most large sites accrue tons of spammy links naturally.

Nothing! Nothing unless you need to. If those links are coming in organically then the anchor text should be varied and you should be golden.

With the New Panda update supposedly only weeks away, is it wise to No Index my products I have not had time to rewrite the product descriptions for ?
Hi Mozzers, I read on SEJ yesterday than apparently the Panda update was due in the 2 - 4 weeks. I still have a large of my products which I have not got around to rewriting unique product descriptions for. I know these product descriptions are duplicated on other affiliate sites so do it think it in light of the panda update coming , would it wise to put a NO INDEX Meta tag on these product pages until I get around to rewriting the descriptions. That way, I may not hit my Panda and it will buy me a bit more time. Just an idea , but thought I'd run it by. thanks Pete

Cleaning up backlinks and changing URLs
Currently we are performing very poorly in organic clicks. We are a e-commerce site with over 2000 products. Issues we thought plagued us: Copied Images from competitors Site wide duplicate content duplicate content from competitor site Number of internal links on a page (300+) Bad backlinks (2.3k from 22 domains and ips) being linked to from sites like m.biz URLs URLs are abbreviated, over 50% lack our keywords Lack of meta descriptions, or too long meta descriptions Current State of fixing these issues: 50% images are now our own Site wide duplicate content near 100% completed Internal links have been dealt with Rewrote content for every product 90% of meta descriptions are fixed From all of these changes we have yet to see increase in traffic...10% increase at best in organic clicks. We think we have penalties on certain URLs. My question for the MOZ community is what is the best way to attack the lack of organic clicks. Our main competition is getting 900% more clicks than us. I am launching a new site, what I need to know about backlinks
Hi 🙂 soon I am launching a new site. It will be focused on topics: Android, smartphones, reviews etc... First I will buy a good looking WP theme, it will be responsive theme. after that when I set up all in theme, after that I will start writing. I will try to write interesting and good content.... This content I will share on my pages: Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Youtube. So only remains, how to get good backlinks ? good backlinks for Google ? Blog commenting is not good, right ? Writing on relative forums and posting links as source of that information ? Contacting other relative sites for sharing my content ? Am I missed something or not ? In your opinion, which is the best way of getting good backlinks ? And what is the best solution in the beginning, because no one will know my site because my site is new. Thank you 🙂

Same-server, Same-Market, Micro-Sites backlinks.. good or bad?
Hi there, We are a real estate listings portal and we also create micro sites for real estate agents. These micro-sites are hosted on our same server, similar in structure, different in design... different in content. They all link to us but not within each other. They all link to us because they have to access our login system in order to manage their property listings on their own micro sites (which updates on our own website too). (Also as marketing for others to see that we have built their sites with our engine). Would all these backlinks be considered to be coming from the same c-block? Thus, being sub-optimal for our SEO efforts? Should we worry about grouping them and giving them separate IP addresses? Should we add nofollow tags to these links or are there any other things you would worry about? Many thanks.

Complicated Question: Removing Spam Backlinks that were Not Requested
I'm new and seeking help with the following scenario: 1. Main site: is a domain.com established authority type site 2. Second site: is a domain.org (has robots.txt to no index) but someone obviously not site owner has done negative seo campaign against the .org domain and built spammy links to it. In fact, that's all that exist on this second domain because it is used for development purposes only right now.) No one would link to this one normally as it is just secondary domain used to protect trademark and for development use.) When searching for it by domain name it does not appear on first page for search results. Checking link profile the only links that show for domain.org are spam links. Have contacted site/s where spam links were placed (no answer) Main site domain.com and domain.org have same whois and hosted on the same server as they are owned by same company Main site domain.com still appears first for its name but has lost some rankings. I am working to fix some technical issues ie: duplicate urls with CMS etc, but would like to find out what to do about the domain.org content that clearly has had someone target it with spammy non requested backlinks.) domain.com has Google webmaster tools account, no messages about unnatural liking in those reports 1. I'm not sure I should add domain.org to GWT to see if there is an unnatural link penalty applied or if this would further connect the two domains through association. If I could get some feedback/suggestions on what my options are with regards to making sure that the domain.org domain has a clean profile that would be most appreciated. Also because site owner has would like to begin using domain.org in the future for some unique content, but as it stands right now cannot because domain has been targed by poor backlinks. Anyone else run into situation where the .org or .net versions were targeted by spammy backlinks even though the domains were not actively used? What's the safest way to proceed? a) Concerned about possible co-penalty between main site domain.com and domain.org b) how to remove problems issues with domain.org so that owner can use it in future. Poor Link Profiles Out Ranking Whitehat
Hi guys / girls, We have a few clients in some very competitive areas that are struggling to gain the top spots. We have been building some good quality links, relevant directories, quality citations, guest posting from good quality websites, broad anchor texts profiles, really strong social signals, competitor back links lookup etc. The issue is that nearly all the websites that are out ranking us have really bad links profiles, lots of spammy links, abusing anchor texts etc So what can you do in this situation. The obvious path is to think, right well lets match them for cr*p links and get some results. However I am more than aware that Googles Algorithm eventually will pick up on this... well at least you hope so. Its just very frustrating when you're getting your ass kicked by poor link building techniques and you're doing good work. I am sure other people have come across this, and I was just wondering if there are any bits of advice of how to move past this? Or is it simply a case of keep doing good work and eventually we will get rewarded? Thanks!

How much better are these backlinks ?
How Much better is a do follow backlink from these 3 pages PA of 28 with 12 outbound do follow links compared to a PA of 31 with 16 out bound links ? Compared to a PA of 42 with 35 out links ? How different would the link juice be from these 3 pages with the do follow links as described ? What has been your experience ?
