What Is Your Most Important Daily Activity?
-
I was reading "The Score Takes Care Of Itself" by legendary 49ers coach Bill Walsh this weekend. One of the things he did to differentiate his team was to identify all the skills needed at each position, and then identify the activities his team could practice in order to improve those skills.
I'm curious about what activities you perform each day that you value the most. I'd like to open up a discussion around the following:
What's your most important responsibility? What skill do you value the most to execute your responsibility well? And what activity do you do in order to improve this skill?
I'll go first. Driving conversions is my most important responsibility as an internet marketer. Email marketing is the skill I value the most in driving conversions. C__opywriting is the activity that improves my ability to drive conversions through email. I've found_using social media as a testing ground_ for subject lines helps me improve my copywriting skills. I'll come up with a few different email subject lines, share these lines and trackable links on social media channels, and see what link generates the most clicks. I'll then take the subject lines with the highest click through rates and send out an A/B tested campaign using Mailchimp. This activity helps me improve as a copywriter, which makes me better at my main responsibility: driving conversions.
Thanks in advance for contributing to this discussion. Hopefully your answer will inspire others to take on a new activity that helps them improve at their most important responsibility.

As the owner of an SEO and Web development firm, the most important thing I do each and every day is make sure that our customers are happy, feel they are being treated fairly, and want to pay us for the valuable work that we do.
Everything else (blogging, writing content, sending emails, working with project managers, designers, search marketing people, billing department, answering email) all follows this.
It doesn't matter if we did a great technical job on a project, if a customer doesn't feel like what we produced was what they wanted. It doesn't matter if we drive lots of traffic to a site, if it's the wrong traffic, or the bounce rate shows people don't like what they are seeing, or if nobody converts.
Hope this helps

Requiring customer agree to shipping terms at checkout
I work for an ecommerce company that has many of its shipments go by LTL freight. Our customer service team has issues with a few customers per month that aren't equipped to receive freight shipments which leads to returns and other issues. In an effort to better inform our customers, the customer service team is requesting that we add a checkbox to the checkout that requires customers to agree to our shipping and returns policy, including a link to the policy page. I am wondering how concerned people here would be that requiring the customer to check a box agreeing to those terms would lead to more customers abandoning during the checkout process. Or do you think it's not a concern? Thanks for your thoughts.

Redirect Management on Headless Wordpress w/ React Front End
Hello everyone, As Headless Wordpress becomes more and more popular, it becomes more complicated to manage and track 301 redirects. I'm reaching out for advice on this. Our main issue right now, is that after migrating from Drupal to a Headless Wordpress/React platform we lost the ability to track, manage, and view traffic analytics for users hitting those redirects. This was something we were able to do in Drupal. Example: If we have a redirect in place we could see how many times in the past x number of days that redirect was hit by users attempting to access the old URL. Unfortunately, Yoast Premium, has been helpful with other SEO needs, but this is one that it is not able to manage. Anyone have any ideas, experience, or thoughts on this issue? Thanks for your time

Reducing Negative Impact of Webpage Login Form
Our real estate website (www.metro-manhattan.com) now requires visitors to login in if they want to search our listing database. The result is that. 9 out of 10 visitors leave without searching; they simply refuse to set up an account. I have attached images of the search bar and login form. Is there a way to increase the percentage of visitors that login? We have tried to make it as simple as possible, allowing visitors to login by Facebook, Google or by providing their email address. We do not send any verification email. We are forced to. keep this login unfortunately. But is there anything we can do to reduce the visitor bounce rate? Thanks,

App Store Optimization - Google Play Console A/B Testing: Should I Optimize for Active Devices or Users
Can't seem to find any ASO type of communities to ask this question to and since the Moz community has been so helpful, I thought I'd try this out. I've been doing A/B Testing for featured graphics on the Google Play Store. There are segments of active devices and users and I've been keeping track daily for ~1.5 months. The data that I have written down displays that active devices shows a positive, however users show a negative. Google Play Console choose to display the scaled installs for active devices. When we do A/B Tests on Google Play Console, should we choose the winner based on the active devices or users?

Date of Review on productpage - important for SEO?
Hi Have a questions. We have lots of products on the website. A lot have reviews and some do not.
Conversion Rate Optimization | | RetailClicks
Is it harming that review dates (post dates) are older then let's say 1-2 months? Cause we do not have fresh reviews every month. So is it better to then let the dates behind and not show? Or is it better to show 'old' dates. How important are fresh review dates on the website? We have hreview tags around the reviews and dates.0 -

How important to conversions is proper English on a website?
Many websites - especially those done in foreign countries by non-native English speakers - have many grammatical and idiomatic errors in the English copy. How important is that to conversions (actually convincing the customer to buy, etc.) Is the poor English a turn-off, a cause for distrust or discomfort - or do people not care? I'd be interested to hear people's personal opinions (the more the merrier) and if anyone has a more global perspective backed by research, testing, etc - that would be great, Thanks in advance!
