Facebook ads to people who like a particular brand or page

Can I target my facebook adds to only those users who like a brand or page?
I have an exhibition coming up next year and would like to target those who like the brand page.
I know I can target on interests etc but cannot see how I can target a particular page.
Any advice greatly appreciated as I am sure others would be interested if this can be done.
ThanksJames

Tom is spot on here.
You cannot target only the fans of a miscellaneous Facebook page that you are not in control of, like a competitor.

Hi James
Yes, this is possible (but limited to pages that you yourself own or are an admin for)
Within the Facebook Power Editor, create or select a new advert. Click the "audience" tab and then scroll to the bottom. You'll see something like:
Connections Target users who are connected to:
Type your brand page in there and you should be able to select your brand page. That way, only people who have liked your page should see the ad. Incidentally, you can also target people who are not connected with your page.
From what I can see, I don't think you can see this option in the normal advert creator.
Hope this helps.

Adwords disapproving ads with the word "Jewish"?
Hi guys, I do marketing for many nonprofits, and one of my clients is a Jewish women's organization. In the past week or so, Google has started disapproving ads and keywords that have the word "Jewish" in them. I know Facebook got called out recently for allowing people to target based on anti-Semitic sentiments, so I'm wondering if this is just Google's terrible execution of caution. It's telling me that keywords with the word "jewish" in them (like "jewish women's organization in boston" is derogatory or dangerous). I've asked for Google's help, and they've been incredibly slow to respond. Is anyone else facing this with other religions or content? Natalie

When to switch off AdWords ads in your channel mix?
My question is actually Inspired by that very good article: https://moz.com/blog/google-organic-clicks-shifting-to-paid that I read this morning. Present situation: For a specific and valuable non-branded keyword combination (2-3 words) we rank: Google Adwords: position 1 Local Pack (with maps): position 1 Organic Search: position 3-5, lately more 5-6 Question?: Is it still worth having AdWords ads or not there? How to evaluate if we could do without AdWords? Any algorithm, experiment, thought that would help find out? We know our average cost per lead for the different channels. Just to leave away AdWords ads for a certain time is not really an option nor would that statistically mean anything, i.e. if we skip AdWords and have the same number of leads after that and compare it with the months before (with AdWords) that could also be due to other reasons (seasonal aspects, etc.). Put in other words: if we skip AdWords people would still click (more) on our other two search results (local & organic). I am not sure if the additional leads coming from AdWords outweigh the cost we have for that. Would love to know your thoughts about that. Thanks a lot for your input in advance. Cheers, Cesare

Managing negative keywords when multi ad groups trigger for same keyword
Hi Mozzers, I have a lot of ad groups - hundreds! Without negative keywords, multiple ad groups in my campaign could trigger for the same keyword. For example, a search for crm software could trigger the following ad groups: Ad group 1 (the ad group I want to trigger) - CRM Software
Paid Search Marketing | | Zoope
Ad group 2 - Best CRM Software
Ad group 3 - CRM Software Solutions
Ad group 4 - CRM Software for Small Business
etc. So I handle this situation by negative keyword matching the words 'CRM Software' in ad groups 2, 3 and 4. However, this is a very manual and laborious activity when I have 900+ keywords in my campaign, with 150+ ad groups. Does anybody know of any tools that might automate this process, or any techniques for making the process easier and more accurate? Thanks!0 -
Brand Impressions & Clicks down massively
HI We've seen a huge drop in impressions for brand terms in Adwords. YOY - 37,140 vs. 792. Our impression share is still high. An agency manage this for us and can't seem to find a reason, but the drop is huge - it seems like it's just people not searching but we haven't seen this in organic and the drop is so huge we wondered what else it could be? Paid is fairly new to me, so just doing some fact finding 🙂

Is there way to have several AdWords Ad for the same keyphrase?
Hi guys. Can I have 2-3-4 ads come up for the same keyphrase? The situation is: I'm bidding for client's company name, there is no other competition (nobody else bids for client's company name), I'm bidding only for exact match and phrase match. Is there way to have, let's say 4 ads come up when somebody searches for exact matched company name? P.S. I know it's weird question, all this is done under reputation management for this company, I'm trying to occupy as much space at the top of the 1st SERPs, so people don't see ROR article in organic position #4. If you have other suggestions - please feel free to put it here. (SEO is being done, not-index pages are being optimized to try to come up as several organic results, backlink building is in process, Social media profiles are being optimized as well). I'm just trying to have some temporary "fix".

Will Google penalize a text ad if the display URL goes nowhere?
Today I had a colleague ask me if Google Adwords will penalize text ads that have display URLs that land on 404 pages. I fully understand the policy that the domains in display URLs and destination URLs have to match up or Google will disapprove the text ad. However if the display url contains the proper domain (and a target keyword phrase for a file folder) will Google penalize the text ad quality score if the display URL lands on a 404? I had trouble finding specific evidence for this.

Facebook getting more aggressive?
Hi, I don't know about you but I have been comparing our Facebook posts in the last three months. Sometimes we use promoted posts and sometime we go with traditional posts. In the last few weeks, it has come to my attention that Facebook is barely showing regular posts to anyone. If they go like this, I'm afraid regular posts will be almost like private posts for your eyes only. Examples: Regular post: 103 views after 3 days Promoted post ($10] : 10206 views after 3 days
