Moz Showing 1500+ errors on my site but webmaster showing 130ish. Whats going on?

This Morning when I check my moz account it said I had 1500+ high priority issues, The break down of issues were 1432 4xx Client errors, 49 duplicate issues, 31 title page missing.
but when I check my webmaster account is it only showing I have around 135 issues.
I have been monitoring is the ranking for my homepage and it's been fluctuating between appearing around the 10th page for me to not at all.
which begs the question that I'm being penalized or what is going on?

Hi Nick,
It is pretty normal to see discrepancies between data from different sources. Google and Moz have different crawlers with different datasets, so it is often the case that you will see different numbers - I've never seen them match up!
I very much doubt that crawl errors like this would be causing big fluctuations in your rankings. Google have gone on record saying that crawl errors are very unlikely to directly impact rankings.
Having said that, it's still best to try and fix errors wherever possible. As pointed out below, you can use a tool like Screaming Frog to verify the data that is being show to you by Moz and Google and then go and check those pages.

Consider also that Google doesn't crawl every page all the time so that could be what it is creating the discrepancy.
I usually use Screaming Frog to identify issues with the website as it crawls every page anytime you want it to

Did you manually check the 1432 errors? It could be pages that are not indexable by Google. Take a look at the pages and see if they are part of the index in webmaster. That's not to say you shouldn't fix them but it could be why they are so different. They are two very different tools and Moz tends to be fail safe which for us is a great mechanism.

Deceptive site warning from Google: Java script and meta descriptions deployed.
Hi all, We received a deceptive site warning from Google recently. Seems like there is a deceptive content on some pages of the website. Some pages are removed from Google index. Meta descriptions have been deployed on the site few days ago. There is also java script on the website which we use for tracking visitors like GA. I wonder what's the reason for this alert? Help Me With These Horrible Crawl Errors
I am currently using Opencart to run a fairly popular ecommerce website. I have done quite well in terms of rankings so far. However, the Opencart platform only goes so far. There are endless amounts of crawl errors, from duplicate content down to missing meta tags. There is no easy way to add canonical tags. The pages that are being listed in the crawl errors seem to be mainly search URL's that i have no idea how Moz found them. An example of the page is: .....com/index.php?route=product/search&tag=home+office+flooring Which has ten duplicate pages all missing meta tags. I have used Google webmaster tools and htaccess to deny access to these pages with the slug "route=product/search" but it doesn't seem to work. So my question to you guys is as follows: Is it worth trying to fix these errors and do they have an effect on SEO? If so, how do I prevent these errors that seem to grow at every crawl? Do sever errors affect SERPS
hoping someone can help VPS has been causing me 10 days of server errors (im now moving off it) as my wordpress site has kept running out of memory. At the same time my traffic had dropped. Why are brand, company name queries not showing up on Google SERP1?
I'm a bit confused today at Google's SERPs for a number of queries I've done. The first one that sparked my interest is when I searched for 'pinterest' (no quotes) and pinterest.com was NOT on the first page. In fact, the first pinterest.com result was on page 3 and was the page for somebody named Bil Chamberlain, who himself must be more related to the search term pinterest than pinterest.com itself. I've done this for a variety of search terms, signed out of google, signed in, and some companies' home page, or website in general comes up, and some do not. search for facebook, facebook.com is #1 search for united airlines, united.com's "Club and Lounges" page is on SERP 5. Am I missing something in google's search result methodology? I'd love to be directed to some article or discussion related to this because the last time I checked, most brand name or company name queries turned out company or brand home pages as reesult #1. Why would my Bounce Rate drop from 40% to 2% over 3 days without making any major changes to my site www.hiltonhead.com?
Our Wordpress site has had an historical bounce rate of 40% for the last 3 years but last Thursday it dropped to 17%, Friday to 7% and now is running at 2%. The pageviews per visit have also increased from 3 to almost 6. Thanks

Google showing malware attack, how to remove ?
Someone just reported that our website was showing malware attack page on their browsers. We checked and saw a bad php code on the above of our index.php file. We removed it and made it clean. Still all the visitors are getting malware attack page. How to fix this ? Site is already clean.

Drastic Fluctuation in Site Rankings
All, Hope you are having a good day! Recently I had a strange issue with one of my site and I am not sure what might have caused it. I am sure this would be a good place to discuss about it and get some feedback from the elite people in the industry. Here is the problem. Last weekend (On sunday noon) my site which was ranking on Page 1 suddenly dropped its ranking for its main keywords to nowhere, I was panicked to see what was happening and by the end of the day it was slowly coming back and by next morning everything was back. Again on Wednesday noon, the same thing happened. However, this time it din't come up by the next morning. Making it worse, all of my keyword rankings went down from good spots to no where and there was a point when I could no longer see my site. I was worried something might have happened this time and was not sure what could the reason be. On Friday afternoon all the ranking came up better than the previous (which is a very good news for me). At the moment, my site is doing very well and I am really happy about it. I did realize that Google was updating their Algorithm, but this behavior is the strangest I have seen over years. Can someone enlighten me on this peculiar behavior. Is there something wrong with my site or is it a common thing that I have never noticed? I have never done anything blackhat for the site. To be honest, all I have done is some low level link building on the site and the site had some advantage of a re-direct from one my previous site which was doing very well in search engines (I changed it to take advantage of the new domain I had). Your opinions/suggestions are a appreciated.
