Post for last three years not visible in google search
-
Hi, just posted this on google webmaster, and thought I'd post it here for ideas as well:
When using the search term site:www.thebudgetfashionista.com with the exception of the homepage the only results that come up are from three years ago.
We are not sure whats going on, but other symptoms include:
A drastic reduction of our crawl rate (via google webmaster)
A reduction in traffic from google searches (via analytics)
We first noticed it after a pronouced downward trend after the most recent agolrithm was releasedRecent activities include:
Fixing crawl errors in GW with 301 redirects
Optimizing older URLs and creating redirects for those.Any hints of suggestion of what might be the problem what greatly be appreciated

How unique is your content? I took a couple of posts at random and searched the text in quotes and a lot of other sites with the exact same content appear;
Although your site appears in the search engines for these long exact match phrases - a rather large number of other sites appear too.
If you are only copying snippets out from other sites and publishing it as-is with little or no unique content - your pages generally won't rank for very long.

Hi Kathryn,
I see there are now some more recent blog posts in the index, including from this month. Were you able to figure out why there was this reduction? Did you make changes, or did things just start reappearing on their own? The dates on most of the items in the index look older, but there are at least a few newer items in the index now. Is there anything you'd like us to take a fresh look at?

I had a look at a random page: http://www.thebudgetfashionista.com/archive/ugg-boot-cleaning/ and what I see is a link to an internal page, link to CJ and adsense... if I was a googlebot I would also have some content that I'm not smart enough to deal with yet bit it has definitely triggered the new algo. Try Improving the content quality by including references to other materials, for example if you make a statement or claim link to the source of that information and reference it at the bottom. Pages that are created to make money via adsense/aff programs usually try to hog all the pagerank to themselves. Do a test and see how it goes. Post it back here so we know
Good luck!

Should search pages be indexed?
Hey guys, I've always believed that search pages should be no-indexed but now I'm wondering if there is an argument to index them? Appreciate any thoughts!

Is the Google results serp broken?
Hi everyone! We've been trying to decipher how many of our pages are indexed by google at the moment. If we do the usual "site:https://www.hobbydb.com" search term, the serp says that we have more than 740,000 pages indexed. However, when I do a deep dive and click through to the last page of results, I can only get to page 54, and then there are no more results. This would mean that I only have 540 pages indexed, not 740,000. We have also done other queries for other sub-sections of our website, and the results also truncate at 50 pages. Has anyone run into this problem? Any suggestions are appreciated! Best, Alex

Search results indexed
Hi there, is is bad practice in seo to have search results for products indexed? For example a search result of holidays to Ibiza, with lots of deals coming up? its a search query url that would be indexed, with just an image and price per product on the page, with about 10 per page? Any advice appreciated.

Problem with Google SERPS
I am running yoast SEO plugin in WP. I just noticed when I google the client, none of their meta data is showing. I see that I had facebook OG clicked, which looks like it made duplicates of all the titles etc. Would that be the problem? I have since turned it off. I am hoping that was the problem. Also, when the client searches it says in the meta desc - you've viewed this site many times". What is that?

Google is changing the title
Hi! Lately i have seen that Google changed the page titles for some clients, not all... its about 30% of them. For example, the title looks likes this after the Google change: Company name: SEO and Pay per click management But in on that page it looks like this: SEO and Pay per click management - Company name Does anyone know why?

Google Website Optimizer
So if you are AB testing two pages: index.html and indexB.html Shouldn't I nofollow indexB.html? It has all the same content, just a different design.
