How can I do a competitve comparison on keywords
-
Is there a way in my MOZ to compare how we rank against some of our competitors for "specific" keywords?
I know in OSE I can perform a Link Metric comparison... but I want to actually do the same, but listing "keywords".
Thank you

Hey,
Thanks for the question. In your campaign settings you can enter up to three different competitors and view their rankings as compared to yours for any keywords you've entered to track.
If you're looking for a standalone on-the-fly rankings you can check out the rank tracker (https://moz.com/researchtools/rank-tracker) but that won't automatically show it compared to you.
I hope that helps.
Cheers,
Joel. -
In Moz, one of the best ways to look at your competition for specific keywords is to use the Keyword Difficulty tool: https://moz.com/researchtools/keyword-difficulty. You put in a keyword phrase and it will run a report that shows the top ranked pages for that keyword. Then, the basic report shows you the Page Authority, Domain Authority, number of links, and the search volume. Running an advanced report will give you even more metrics to look at that you can use to analyze why certain sites are ranking for that keyword phrase.

No keywords displayed for site in Keywords by Site or in CSV report. Why?
We have a site that we ran in On-Demand Crawl and Keyword Explorer. On-Demand Crawl revealed some information. However Keyword Explorer did not. We know there are ranking keywords for the site but no such keywords were detected by Moz. However, when we ran Link Explorer, 12 ranking keywords were detected and associated with the site. Why is there a discrepancy between these two reports? Thank you in advance.

How many keywords to put in each Keyword Matrix cell?
I'm currently developing a Keyword Matrix for my site, and i'm just wondering how many keywords I should be putting into each individual cell? From what I learned in MOZ academy, each cell of the matrix will be turned into a keyword list. This means that if I only have one keyword per cell, I'd only have one keyword list that corresponds to each cell in the Matrix. Would it be wrong to include multiple keywords for each cell and thus, multiple keyword lists corresponding to each individual cell? Thanks!

Hi! Is there an easy way to check if a certain domain has a link to my domain. Is there something similar to "checking outbound links" on a website?

How can I get links indexed in Just Discovered Links, or Open site Explorer? (Because it aint Bit.ly or Feedly!)
Dear Moz & Forum, I've been on a bit of a merry-go-round with one of my clients. He knows enough about SEO to ask questions, and one thing he likes is to see the links that we are building inside Open Site Explorer. Now, of course we know that it takes a while for links to show, but that was ok, because we could just plug the links that we've built into a bit.ly link and then they'd show under Just Discovered Links in Open Site Explorer, and then boom, we're happy. It stopped working some time ago, and after the support team were a little unstuck I sent a hopeful tweet to @randfish. Here is the response: https://twitter.com/randfish/status/788412272129347584 The advice to use Bit.Ly was removed swiftly after this! Oops! The current Guidance is here: https://moz.com/help/guides/research-tools/open-site-explorer/justdiscovered It says: Want to see your new link in the Just-Discovered Links tab? An easy way to start seeing your link in the Just-Discovered section is to have it shared on Twitter and available on Feedly link. Feedly stopped supporting their own link shortner a few years ago. Also, when you share a link from Feedly on twitter it is just the same as sharing a normal tweet, because it shares the standard URL for the site not a link to view on Feedly. Or, maybe these two statements are independant of one another and they should both be done separately? I've done that too! I've also added the feed to recommended feeds inside fresh web explorer and that didn't work either! So, Moz and Help team please help me! How can I get links I've built for clients into Just Discovered Links? Thank you!
