Moz Toolbar Make My Browser Slower Drastically!
-
Hi,
I really like Moz toolbar but it's totally make my browser (Firefox 26) slower (open new tab, new site, close / open the browser, etc.)
What can I do to make it works faster With Moz toolbar?
Thanks

Hello again Jon,
I already do that, it's the same like Firefox; When the Mozbar is on "Hide Mode" it's work fast but when this cause the browser performance to be slower.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Hey Joni,
Is there any way you could try on a different computer?

Hi Jon,
I have the latest version of Moz toolbar for Firefox (see attachment please).
I already tried Chrome version and it's feel like working a bit better but still affecting negatively on browser speed.
This is particularly noticeable when opening new tabs and crossing between tabs.
I hope we'll solve this issue asap.
Thanks

Hi Joni, sorry you are having issues. Are you on the latest version of the toolbar (2.63)?
Honestly, we have not seen this bug before, and I cannot replicate it so it may be a local issue with your browser. If it is an issue you could try using the Chrome version instead?

Hi Joel,
I tried to turn off all my add-ons and keep running with Moz toolbar only and it's still makes the browser very slower than before. When I turn off Moz toolbar the browser speed up again.
I really like Moz toolbar but which options do I have now to make it work perfectly with Firefox?
Thanks
-
Hey Joni,
Thanks for reaching out. That's very odd. I've not heard a single other complaint about this. In fact most of us here use Firefox and have the Mozbar running constantly with no issue.
It's possible there's some other extension or program running concurrently that's causing the slowdown. You may also want to try reinstalling the Mozbar and FF just in case.
I hope that helps.
Cheers,
Joel.

Moz bot has trouble crawling Angular JS - I believe it's seeing the SPA (Single Page Application) before Universal. Anyone else have this issue? What is the fix?
The Moz bot user agent detection settings are able to read Universal, but the Single Page Application (SPA) version partially loads on the website before Universal. Because of this, Moz (and possibly search engines) think we have massive duplicate content issues. For example, the crawl report said a particular product page (which has about 1,000 words) has 33,000 words and has duplicate content with over 300 other pages. This makes me believe it's only picking up the SPA version. Has anyone come across this, and what would be the fix?

Canonical in Moz crawl report
I'm wondering if the moz bot is seeing my rel="canonical" on my pages. There are 2 notices that are bothering me: Overly Dynamic URL Rel Canonical Overly Dynamic URL - This notice is being generated by urls with query strings. On the main page I have the rel="canonical" tag in the header. So every page with the query string has the canonical tag that points to the page that should be indexed. So my question...Why the notice? Isn't this being handled properly with the canonical tag? I know I can use my robots.txt or the tool in Google search console but is it really necessary when I have the canonical on every page? Here is one of the links that has the "Overly Dynamic URL" notice, as you can see the the canonical in the header points to the page without the query string: https://www.vistex.com/services/training/traditional-classroom/registration-form/?values=true&course-title=DMP101 – Data Maintenance Pricing – Business Processes&date=March 14, 2016 Rel Canonical - Every page in my report has this notice "Using rel=canonical suggests to search engines which URL should be seen as canonical". I'm using the rel="canonical" tag on all of my pages by default. Is the report suggesting that I don't do this? Or is it suggesting that I should? Again...why the notice?

Duplicate Page Content Report on MOZ
Hi, I am just wondering as to the accuracy of this report - does it pick up all the duplicate on page content? Or is there a limit? We have an ecommerce store with a lot of copied and pasted descriptions - just wondering if there is a limit on how much the moz crawler picks up? In other words, once we fix what MOZ has detected, will there be more detected because it is limited to display say up to 200?? Hope you understand what I mean. Thanks
