Moz Analytics - Custom Report Question
-
Hello Moz Forums!
I'm having problems building custom reports for my clients.
So, i've managed to put together a few reports and I've set these to be scheduled for weekly automated emailing! Now, here's the problem, before sending it to my clients, I was testing this by sending it to myself.
This is what I receive: http://www.freelance-seo.co.uk/images/Moz.png
I don't really want my clients to see 'By Moz!' everywhere when I send this out, is there a way to change this automated mail? Or a way to just just send the PDF without a link?
Alternatively, have I just failed in using this product?
Edit: Just to clarify! The 'simply change your report settings' option, just takes me to an option to edit the report title, not the email in any way.

Hi Paul
When you are in the edit & schedule email section of the report there is a customize email option at the bottom: http://www.screencast.com/t/OaMFhUewEJ0U
Alternatively you can create a template to send a more customized email with your own rich-formatting that you can use to manually email the reports once they are ready. I know a few customers are using this way to send their reports until we can add more custom options in the future. Moz Analytics is technically not in beta as we are only missing the monthly timeframe options which is built and currently in testing stages.

Hello David,
"You can customize the messaging to be more personal and the additional emails will only receive a link to download the PDF and will not have the link to update your settings."
Thanks for your message, how can I do this?
This kind of makes the White Label feature a bit pointless, not trying to be rude, but is this tool in Beta? I spend a whole day just making the same report, over and over also. This tool seems to be not entirely finished.

Hi Paul!
You can customize the messaging to be more personal and the additional emails will only receive a link to download the PDF and will not have the link to update your settings. As for customizing the email messaging I would recommend submitting a feature request to our product team who may be able to add that feature, although I believe this would be for Medium and higher subscription tiers.
Our feature request forum is here: https://seomoz.zendesk.com/forums/293194-seomoz-pro-feature-requests
Hope this helps!

I don`t think that there is the "white label" option yet which would allow to modify your reports in a way that fits your described needs... the only recommendation that I can give you is to make those changes using a software which can work with pdf files.
Within these programs you should be able to add, delete and modify the content in your reports... this isn
t the best solution but if you don
t want your clients to see the moz logo or things like that then you should consider the additional work...

Why does the moz bar link count differ from the moz link analysis page
Hi all, Why does the Moz Bar show a different link count from the Moz link analysis page? For example, when I check the SERP below, for the first result, the bar shows 936 page links from 4 RDs. But when I check out the link analysis page, it tells me there are just 141 page links from 4 RDs. What gives? For the second entry, the bar shows 6 page links from 0 RDs. Not sure how that's possible. Can anyone explain these things. Thanks! Copy a custom report
I'm monitoring 14 of our companies websites. When I have setup one custom report I would like to copy that report setup to another campaign so they all report the same. Guess I'm lazy but great if I don't need to redo the work 14 times.

Trying to connect Google Analytics account But it's not listed in the drop down box
I'm trying to connect a Google Analytics account but when I go through the drop down box with our list of clients it doesn't show up. It is listed in our agency Analytics account. We have 30+ accounts on GA. Any reason why the account wouldn't make it into the list? Thanks, ~Anjolie

Moz's official stance on Subdomain vs Subfolder - does it need updating?
Hi, I am drawing your attention to Moz's Domain basics here: http://moz.com/learn/seo/domain It reads: "Since search engines keep different metrics for domains than they do subdomains, it is recommended that webmasters place link-worthy content like blogs in subfolders rather than subdomains. (i.e. www.example.com/blog/ rather than blog.example.com) The notable exceptions to this are language-specific websites. (i.e., en.example.com for the English version of the website)." I am wondering if this is still Moz's current recommendation on the subfolders vs subdomains debate, given that the above (sort of) implies that SE's may not combine ranking factors to the domain as a whole if subdomains are used - which (sort of) contradicts Matt Cutts last video on the matter ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MswMYk05tk ) which implies that this is not the case and there is so little difference that their recommendation is to use whatever is easiest. It would also seem to me that if you were looking through the eyes of Google, it would be silly to treat them differently if there were no difference at all other than subdomain vs subfolder as one of the main reasons a user would use a sud-domain is a technical on for which it would not make sense for Google to treat differently in terms of its algorithm. I notice that in terms of Moz, while most of the site uses subfolders, you do have http://devblog.moz.com/ - and I was wondering if this is due to a technical reason or conscious decision, as it would seem to me that the content within this section is indeed linkworthy (as it has external links pointing to it from external sources), therefore it would seem to not be following the initial advice that is posted in Moz's basics on domains. Therefore I am assuming it is due to a technical reason - or that Moz's adive is out of date with current Moz thinking, and is indeed in line with Matt C in that it doesn't matter. Cheers
