OSE so slow!!!!
-
OSE so slow, Majestic and Ahrefs are kicking Moz's ass.
Any plans to make it faster and BIGGER?
-
Hey Sophia,
Thanks for the question.
We actually haven't had any other reports of undue slowness in OSE. It's possible you're seeing a lag due to your connection or machine? As far as making it bigger, we're always working to increase the size and frequency of our indices. It's tough to compare it to a company like Majestic or Ahrefs who's entire business is indexing while OSE is just one part of a much more comprehensive suite of tools.
I'm sorry to say it may be a while before we have the sheer volume they have.
Thanks,
Joel.

OSE Getting Less Accurate
It seems that the more links I get the lower my DA is. My DA has been dropping for some time now as I gain more backlinks. It also does not seem to pick up anywhere close to the number of domains that is linking to my site. My url is hiddentriforce.com GWT says I have over 600 domains linking in. The majority of the links are from news or articles that we cover which other sites pick up and link to us as the source. We also have a ton of scholarship links from .edu and education sites from a giveaway that we do every year for students. Why does OSE seem to lower my DA the more I get off-page factors to the site?

What is the difference between a "Just Discovered" link and an "Established" link in OSE?
What is the difference between a "Just Discovered" link and an "Established" link in OSE? How long does it generally take for a just discovered link to migrate in to the established link section? Are there other parameters that need to be met before a link can be referred to as established? Sorry for all the questions in one post, but I've had the same "just discovered" links in OSE for quite some time and have yet to see them migrate over to the "established" link section. I was hoping that when these links become established that it would help improve my site DA. Can anyone shed any light on this issue or have any other comments? Thanks MOZ!

OSE and HTTPS
It's been quite a few months since the last updates regarding HTTPS crawling of OpenSiteExplorer. https://seomoz.zendesk.com/entries/20770156-open-site-explorer-to-crawl-https http://moz.com/community/q/in-opensiteexplorer-why-is-https-not-an-option But, as the last update dates October 2013, is there any news in regards to the progress on this subjects? More and more sites are switching to full HTTPS and support for this has been asked and responded upon for over two years. Thanks for any updates.
