Does anyone know of a tool that will allow you to track links to an email address hyperlink like mailto:user@domain.com

If you are just interested in internal links to an email then the free Xenu link sleuth should do the job.

a straight google search for: mailto:user@domain.com

will get you loads of results. is there a scraper that filters them down nicely.. not that i know of, but it shouldn't be too hard to write one, or shouldn't cost much to hire a php guru to make one for you.

what is your application? perhaps there is another approach?

SEMRush's Site Audit Tool "SEO Ideas"

Recently SEMRush added a feature to its site audit tool called "SEO Ideas." In the case of specific the site I'm looking at it with, it's ideas consist mostly of suggesting words to add to the page for the page/my phrase(s) to perform better. It suggests this even when the term(s) or phrases(s) it's looking at are #1. Has anybody used this tool for this or something similar and found it to be valuable and if so how valuable? The reason I ask is that it would be a fair amount of work to go through these pages and find ways to add the select words and phrases and, frankly, it feels kind of 2005 to me. Your thoughts? Backlinks from unindexed pages - disavow ?

Hi I was analyzing my sites's backlinks and see a lot of the domains are not indexed by google.
I assume google has unindexed them - may be these domains are penalized. Should I request removal of my site's link from these pages ? What is the recommended approach in such a case? Thank you for your inputs.

Google Webmaster Tools : no data available

Hi guys I have a website which is 2 years old. Since 03/01/2013 I have no data in Google Webmaster Tools > Trafic > Search queries. The queries, the impressions and the clics dropped suddenly from one day to the next. I checked the rank of my keywords and the traffic of my site. They are stable and didn't move which means that they don't cause the problem. Has anybody had the same problem ? Is it Google Webmaster Tools bug ? Many thanks.

When should we use Remove URLs feature on Google Webmasters Tool?

Hi there, I run an ecommerce website on Magento. We are no longer using a category. It actually does not appear on the menu: mydomain.com/category.html If this is the case, do you recommend to remove it through the Removal URL feature on GWT? I don't want this to affect the juice of other links of the site such as: mydomain.com/product.html Thanks very much. Regards

For a UK business where there is no .co.uk or .com opportunity, is it better to have a .net address or would .uk.com be better? Or no difference...This company is UK focussed only.

We have a niche keyword domain possibility but I am not sure which way, if any, is better. The .com and .co.uk options are not available but there are various other ones - including .org, .net, .uk.com. Is there any domain/seo benefit of one version over another? Any thought gratefully received..

Google Webmaster Tools reports 404s for plain text. Should I create those URLs and 301 them to actual pages?

IA few years back I noticed that Google Webmaster Tools returns 404s from regular text containing a URL, but no anchor tag. I came accross this again today. Is it worthwhile to create those URLs and 301 redirect them to proper pages.
