How to fix these unwanted URLs?

Right now i have wordpress, one page website, but google also show wp-content. KIndly check below in google.

How I can fix this issue?
-
Great job, Mark! I can see from this end that nearly all of those unwanted URLs have already dropped out of the results. That's far quicker than even I expected! And the ones that aren't gone are leading to a 403 Forbidden page, which is great.
One last thing you can do if you want. Because you are on HostGator, they are displaying their custom 403 error page, which has their branding all over it (nasty, kinda ugly) You could create your own simple 403 error page, add your own basic branding to it, and for instance add a line that says something like "You don't have permission to view this page or it is blocked for security reasons. Drop by the home page [link to home page] to find what you're looking for, or to conduct a search."
This basic page can be used to replace the one that HostGator provides by default so any visitors that hit it by accident will still feel like they are on your site, and will have a suggestion for what to do next. Your hosting control panel will have instructions for how & where to provide your own custom error pages.
Hope that last little tweak's useful.

Thank You Paul. All is well now.

If I were you, Mark, I'd add it right at the top of your htaccess file. I'd also add in a descriptive comment to make the reason for the directive clear. So:
BEGIN Remove ability to read directory indexes
Options -Indexes
END Remove ability to read directory indexes
These lines would be inserted right at the top of the htaccess file. I would also warn though, that I've had situations where caching plugins have overwritten such directives when they update the htaccess themselves. If that happens, you man need to try inserting it after #END WPSuperCache and before # BEGIN WordPress.
Hope that works for you?

Andy and Nishada - don't forget... Adding robots.txt disallows will do nothing to get already indexed URLs out of the search index after the fact.

You have a much bigger problem than what can be solved just with a robots.txt file, Mark.
All of those URLs are showing up because of a misconfiguration of your theme installation (likely caused by the theme developer) is allowing full display of all of the content of each of those directories. In addition to polluting your search results, as you've noticed, it's a also a pretty major security risk. You can see this in action by going to http://baltimoreelite.com/wp-content/themes/sintia/wpv_theme/assets/css/ What should happen when you go to that URL is you see a blank page, or receive a 403-Forbidden warning. Instead, you're seeing a full listing of the directory contents - bad news.
Since I don't know your hosting configuration, the easiest way to fix this issue is to add a line to your .htaccess file at the root of your site. This should correct for all such instances, You need to add this line:
<code>Options -Indexes</code>
If you're not familiar, the .htaccess file is a text file which you can edit with any text editor. You'll need to use an FTP program or the file manager in your hosting control panel to access it at the root of your site. (You may also need to enable "show hidden files" in your program). I always recommend backing up the existing file before editing just in case. You'll add this new line on its own line with a blank line between it and any other lines in the file. It can go near or at the top of your htaccess file.
Now getting those URLs out of the search index is going to take a bit more work. You'll want to implement the robots.txt exclusions like Andy suggested, and then you'll need to go into Google Webmaster Tools and use the Remove URLs tool to specifically request removal of the directories you blocked with the robots.txt and that you also want removed from the search results. (The robots.txt is a critical part of this process, as Google requires it be in place in order to process the removal requests.)
This, combined with the htaccess edit mentioned above, should keep those URLs from showing up again in teh future.
Hope that all makes sense. If not, be sure to ask!

Hi Mark,
I block the same on my site (which is also a single page). Here is the content of my Robots.txt file.
User-agent: * Disallow: /wp-admin/ Disallow: /wp-includes/ Disallow: /wp-content/ Sitemap: http://www.inetseo.co.uk/sitemap.xml.gz

Hi Mark,
You need to tell crawlers to not to index those content by modifying the robots.txt file. Below is a good link with some examples and instructions

Which URL is better?
Hi everyone, Could you please help me with picking out the right URL for my company's website? We are MoonCreate and we make beautiful clothes. Unfortunately, the domain mooncreate.com is not available and I have to choose between mooncreatebrand.com or mooncreatewear.com Which one is better, in your opinion? Look forward to receive your suggestions! Thank you! 🙂

Include or exclude noindex urls in sitemap?
We just added tags to our pages with thin content. Should we include or exclude those urls from our sitemap.xml file? I've read conflicting recommendations.

Page URL Change
We're planning on rolling out a redesign of an existing page, and at the same time, we're looking to possibly changing the URL of the page. Currently, the URL is www.blah.com/phraseword1-phraseword2-phraseword3-phraseword4 and we're ranking top 3 in Google SERP for that 4-word phrase. The keyword phrase is something we have in our Page Title, Site Copy and the URL. Now, we are planning on simplifying the URL to below.. www.blah.com/phraseword1-phraseword2 The plan is to 301 redirect the original URL to this new URL and actually work the exact phrase into the copy a few more times. My understanding is that URL doesn't get as much weight as it does in the past, but it's still important. So my question is... How important is the URL in this case where we will continue to have it in our page title and also we'll be working more copy on to the page with the appropriate keyword? Will 301 redirect from the old URL address the issue of passing SEO value for that keyword phrase? Thanks,

Formatting dynamic urls?
We have a long-time previously well-established website that was hit by panda. On one section of the site, we have dynamic urls that include %20 in them (e.g. North%20America). It's recently come to our attention that google has both a version of the url with a plus sign (+) and the version with the %20 (space) (e.g. North+America). Upon researching this, it seems that a hyphen (-) is preferable to either of the above. We obviously need to remove the %20's from the urls as they can cause issues. So, should we stick with the + sign since it's already indexed and ranking or do a 301 rewrite and change them all to hyphens instead of the plus sign? This is the one section of the site that has maintained rankings through the panda debacle, so we need to take that into consideration as we don’t want to lose the rankings that we have. Along the same lines, we have two other sections of the site that provide search results as well, though these are all formatted to use a plus sign. Is it advisable to do a 301 rewrite to change the plus signs to hyphens on these as well or just leave them alone? This particular section has lost rankings over the last year with panda updates.

Found a Typo in URL, what's the best practice to fix it?
Wordpress 3.4, Yoast, Multisite The URL is supposed to be "www.myexample.com/great-site" but I just found that it's "www.myexample.com/gre-atsite" It is a relatively new site but we already pointed several internal links to "www.myexample.com/gre-atsite" What's the best practice to correct this? Which option is more desirable? 1.Creating a new page I found that Yoast has "301 redirect" option in the Advanced tap Can I just create a new page(exact same page) and put noindex, nofollow and redirect it to http://www.myexample.com/great-site OR 2. htacess redirect rule simply change the URL to http://www.myexample.com/great-site and update it, and add Options +FollowSymLinks RewriteEngine On

Do trailing / in URLs matter?
I was wondering if search engines see duplicate content on two different URLs if the content is available via www.xyz.com/services or www.xyz,com/services/

Automatic redirect to external urls
Hi all, I'm developing a dynamic qr code service.. The service works in the following way: You create an account with an associated QR CODE pointing to a url like:
Technical SEO | | raulo79
- http://domain.me/username The user can change the target of this url.. he can:
- point to an external url ( his website for example)
- point to a vCard download page
- a mobile ready webpage ( no redirection in this case)... Visiting http://domain.me/username my company logo is displayed and we redirect the visitor with a: header("Refresh: 5;URL=http://userdomain.tld"); Google is indexing many user's URLs, this is good for those users pointing to the mobile ready webpage, in this case there is no redirection, but Google is indexing many urls that redirect to an external url and I don't know how to avoid this.. I can't do an header('Location: http://www.example.com/'); because I need to display our logo after redirection.. how can I do google friendly? Sorry for my english, I hope you can undestand the problem. Best regards.

New website with slightly new urls
Hi we recently designed our website in work and changed some of the urls. the old site used to be http://www.example.ie/contact-us.htm now it's is http://example.ie/get-in-touch The problem we are having is with sitelinks (the ones auto generate in the serp) ie: about, contact us, team etc etc. Once cliked on, these OLD links are all going to 404 pages because of the change of url. Help with this would be greatly appreciated - I was thinking of blocking these old sitelinks in google web master.
