Any recommended hosting company?
-
Any recommended hosting company, name of good package to buy ( shared hosting, VPS hosting, or Dedicated hosting). Which one to buy to help in website ranking.
-
Hi Alexander,
Check out Who Is Hosting This - it's a large community with a lot of reviews, comparisons, etc. Commercially it refers visitors to hosts, but is otherwise impartial (there are links to hosts with good and bad reviews). The "compare" feature might be useful for you: http://i.imgur.com/wyyITPL.png
I hope this helps!

Hello, we use http://mediatemple.net/ for our websites, good speed and great customer service.

We recommend Rackspace. Have had a great experience with them for many of our clients. Their customer service is fantastic. Their cloud hosting solution also has the ability to handle huge spikes in traffic.

I want to host 10-15 Wordpress Blogs website. Each website is having 5000 average visitors per month.
Right Now I am using Hostgator Business shared hosting plan. I want better plan where my websites will load fast.

This is a "how long is a piece of string" question. There's just not enough information to give you an answer.
Like Justian mentioned, what are you needs? Is this going to be a static wordpress site with five pages that gets updated every two months and expects to see a hundred visits a day? Is it an ecommerce site built on a particular platform that also has a forum and is going to have 20,000 visits a day, with lots of custom scripting?
-
Really do need more information to make any useful suggestion.
How many sites and average traffic?
What sort of support/management do you require?
I have tried more than a couple and I'm currently very happy running ~20 sites on an Ipage vps. Their support is top notch.
Siteground gets my support as well, though I only use their basic web hosting and couldn't attest to their more beefy packages.
If you are just looking for some serious hardware stats you might take a look at OVH

I am looking for US web hosting company.
-
You need to be more specific. what part of the world / country are you looking for a hosting Company? and what are your needs?
I' prefer VPS hosting rather then Dedicated hosting (one server) if your server crashes it will give you some downtime unless you are planning to have more then one dedicated server.

Sitelinks to Sister Companies
Hi We have a number of sister companies and link to them via a drop down in the footer - are these links as dangerous as anchor text links?

Company name doesn't have keyword: use domains instead?
Good Morning! Now, I'll admit, I may be obsessing a little too much on this, and it may not make that big of an impact in the long run, but with Google being introduced to the world if I were to start a business today I would try and include my keyword into the title of my business. For example Dollar Shave Club, at least they got the word shave in there. My business doesn't have a keyword in our name, is it beneficial to structure our URLs to include a keyword so that all of our URLs include that word? So if I sell organic bananas, but my company is called Evananas, is it worth it to have all domains become a child of Evananas.com/organic_bananas? That way at least we have the keyword "Organic Bananas" in our title? So I could then have things like: evananas.com/organic_bananas/recipes evananas.com/organic_bananas/benefits evananas.com/organic_bananas/taste_really_freeking_good Vs. evananas.com/recipes evananas.com/benefits evananas.com/taste_really_freeking_good I'm not sure it makes a difference. The other problem is I want to keep our URL's as short as possible. I feel like less is always more, but I was always under the impression domain/URL based keywords were rather powerful. What is the best practice in this case? Thanks Guys! Evan(ana)

Is it Possible to Optimize Another Company Name/Product for Organic Results?
We have a potential new client seeking to rank organically for a company name and brand product who have left the market (still in business as they are a massive medical company, but just moved away from selling this one specific product) and my new client has since picked up their slack and slowly a couple others have entered the market over the past 5 years with different products. My client's product is a direct replacement/alternative to the other product, actually, it's the same, just had to be renamed/rebranded. They are wondering how to get their website ranked for that company and branded product name to show in Google SERPs organically without being slapped with a cease and desist order. We know they can do it for PPC, but how for organic results since we need the content within the site pages or tags. Any suggestions or real life experiences would be greatly appreciated! I look forward to reading your feedback. Patrick

Recommended e-commerce site search for Magento?
Does anyone have recommendations for any particular site searches for large e-commerce sites based on Magento? Some (hopeful) requirements: Possibility to segment product pages and blog content on results page Doesn't cause any major SEO or technical issues Understands semantic search Ability to filter results Ability to sort (e.g. by price, popularity, new in stock) It'd be really useful to see examples and know if there are any particular issues to be aware of. Thanks. 🙂

Recommended URL Structure
Hello, We are currently adding a new section of content on our site related to Marketing and more specifically 'Digital Marketing' (research reports, trend studies, etc). Over time (several months, or 1-3 years) we will add more 'general' marketing content. My question is which of the following URL structures makes more sense from an SEO perspective (and how best to quantify the benefit of one over another): www.mysite.com/marketing/digital/research/... www.mysite.com/digital-marketing/research/.. Thanks, Mike

Eliminate render blocking javascript and css recommendation?
Our site's last Red flag issue is the "eliminate render blocking javascript and css" message. I don't know how to do that, and while I'm not sure if I could spend hours/days cutting and pasting and guessing until I made progress, I'd rather not. Does anyone know of a plugin that will just do this? Or, if not, how much would it cost to get a web developer to do this? Also, if there is not plugin (and it didn't look like there was when I looked) how long do you think this would take someone who knows what they are doing to complete. The site is: www.kempruge.com Thanks for any tips and/or suggestions, Ruben

National Company Needs Local (7 Box) Rankings in Test Metros
A lot of pressure on me for this one...
Intermediate & Advanced SEO | | jayt
I have a national client with excellent naturals, and a huge PPC budget. Getting killed locally, forcing use below the 7box. I need to find either a definitive way to get into the 7 box in dozens of metro areas, or HIRE a consultant who knows this landscape better.
Any thoughts?
The client serves all 50 states, by phone and online, in a very competitive market. I've killed it for 12 years, and volume has slipped so we need to grab more local.
Complimenting matters, we are currently migrating their main site to CMS (Umbraco).. a little busy!0 -
