Keyword stuffing on a shop Brand Collection Pages - would schema.org Microdata helps?
-
I'm setting up a Shop for a customer and have few questions about Brand Collection Pages in General.
I create collection pages for the main Vendors & Designers and since I add their Brand Names on their products I have more than 40 times the Brand name on one Collection Page.
When I run Moz On-Page Optimization I get a „B“ classification since Keyword stuffing for the Brand name.
I put the Product Informations (brand-name, product-name, product-price) into Schema.org - Microdata and I‘m just curious what is the best practice.
- Don‘t using the Brand name when using Brand collection pages,
- using Microdata only on the product page since there starts the conversion,
- using Micordata whenever it is possible,
- doesn't matter since the overall sense of a Collection Pages is to have a lot duplicated Brand names per Page.
I honestly have no idea but I just believe that Google or other search engines would appreciate if I categorize it as a Product including Brand-name and price.
The other Point is, on the Collection Page I just show the Product Details when the User hover over the Image.
As far as I understand, Microdata should be visible. Just showing something when hovering over an Image is that visible or not ? Or in other words, does it makes sense to use Microdata in this case? I just guess Yes since it is not totally hidden.
This particular Band Name in my case is „L‘Agent“. For whatever reason Moz don‘t understand the apostrophe in L‘Agent and I get the recommendation to use the exact Keyword in the Title, what I already doing. Is there any trick or work-around on apostrophes?
Here is the collection Page http://petit-paris.me/collections/l-agent-by-agent-provocateur
Thanks Siggi

Hi Siggi,
There are certainly a lot of instances of "agent" being used on the page which you may be best to cut down on, e.g. using the product name in the roll-over - there are 345 instances of "agent" on that page alone. Don't worry about the Moz grader tool and the apostrophe - Google can understand this, even if Moz has trouble with it.
So for example, on the text over the image for the "Vyztužený saénový korzet Penelope", perhaps use that text only, rather than including "L'Agent by Agent Provocateur" as well, etc.

Codeigniter - Controller and duplicate pages
Hi there, I use Codeigniter as framework and I have a question about the duplicate page. Actually, for default, the typical page in a CodeIgniter framework is something like this: http://www.domain.com/site/contact where site is the controller containing the contact function that point to the contact.html view... To have a better URL I use a trick with the "routes" that redirect any http://www.domain.com/contact to the original http://www.domain.com/site/contact Of course the both are valid and the both are... crawled! So I get the duplicate page. Is this something I have to manage, maybe with .htaccess? Any idea would be very appreciated. Thanks for you precious time guys! Shella

Duplicate page reported in Wordpress site, but I can't find it in All Pages list
In a crawl report a duplicate page content warning has been displayed. The two urls are 1. http://www.superheroes.com.au/shop
Moz Pro | | Andyfools
and
2. http://www.superheroes.com.au/shop/category/catalog/ It's a WordPress site and I cannot find the second page anywhere in the list of All Pages in the Admin (I want to add canonicalisation code) When I view the 2nd page and click Edit Page, it redirects to the 1st page. Any ideas where SEOMoz would be finding this 2nd page or how it might be being generated? (btw I didn't build this site) Thanks Simon0 -

Are you going to update your On-Page too?
With the new over optimisation penalty coming in, I was wondering if you're going to update your online tool to take this into account?

Terminology -branded vs non-branded
I never say nor used these terms before joining SEO moz. can someone explain what this is and how it affects your analytics. SEOmoz actually has a way to select branded words and treats them differently. What is the point or benefit of this? How do you use this to help you with analytical deconstruction.

Keyword ranking - authority information
How can you explain that a website (not mine) appears on 1st place in Google (on the Keyword Difficulty Tool/Ranking Analysis) but the Page Authority, Page Linking Root Domains, Domain Authority, and Root Domain Linking Root Domains are much lower than the other websites on the list. Even when running the On-Page Report Card, this website gets grade F comparing to the other (including mine) websites that get better grades. I just want to understand which criteria I'm missing that can explain why a website appears on first place when it seems it's not well optimized. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.

Quick Keyword Difficulty Question
Hello good people. Quick question about the Keyword Difficulty Tool (which is great by the way). I am wondering specifically about the "keyword difficulty score" If I were to type in "blue widget," the tool returns a diffiiculty score of 51%. "red widget" on the other had returns a score of 40%. My question is how much more difficult is the term, "blue widget" when compared to "red widget?" 20% harder? more, less? I just don't know. I'm sure the info is somewhere on the seomoz site, but I have searched high and low and cannot find it. Thanks a lot, Joe
