Built Responsive Website but only get mobile view on desktop
-
The responsive website we created only shows the mobile view on the desktop.
There is something we have overlooked, even after skimming the code between this website and another responsive website of ours that works perfectly.
We appreciate anyone who can fix this for us.
Here is a link to our home page: http://trimarkfunding.com/index-trimark-funding.html
We find information on allowing desktop views on mobile devices, but no information on how to get a desktop view on a desktop.
It was built in Dreamweaver, and the live views and the browser views all show desktop, but when upload pages and view in desktop the pages show up as a mobile view.

Thank you for the information ... but the situation got fixed and here is how I did it
Your input lead to the solution ... we double check the uploaded files one by one and found one missing.
The site now works!
Wow, we appreciate your taking time out of your day to help with this problem!

This may or may not be related to the problem, but I checked out your site in Chrome and got some error messages about Javascript files failing to load properly. One of them looks like it's connected to mobile/desktop stuff. Hope that helps!

Is Disqus as good for SEO as a built in comment system on your website?
Disqus is a simple tool you can use to easily get comments up and running on your website. Does it have the same value as a built in comment feature such as a Wordpress blog or does Google not attribute the Disqus comments to the websites content as it would for Wordpress?

Please give me advice on how to get this page back into search engines
Hi. Before we had our site www.in2town.co.uk upgraded, we had this section on the first page of google and even though it does not badly with other search engines, with google we are not in the top fifty. the page is http://www.in2town.co.uk/gastric-band-hypnotherapy i would be so grateful for advice on how to get this section back into google i am also concerned that i have a category called gastric band hypnotherapy, what i mean is, http://www.in2town.co.uk/gastric-band-hypnotherapy/crash-diets-can-damage-your-health-says-gastric-band-hypnosis-expert as you can see from above, we have the category name which is gastric band hypnotherapy and then the article name, just wondering if this is damaging us. any help to sort our ranking issue our would be amazing

Duplicate Content: Snippets from Blog on Website
Our company has a website and a blog, each on a separate domain. On our website's home page, we include snippets from some of our blog posts and links to such posts. The snippets include the same photo, title, and first line or so of text. We have been told and am concerned that search engines will categorize this as duplicate content. Any recommendation as to how we can get around this issue aside from not including the blog posts on our site? I imagine we are not the first company to want to do this. www.angelicolaw.com Thanks,

I have 2 canonical links. Must get rid of one?
On my wordpress blog, i have 2 canonical links for every single post, like this: One is generated by wordpress theme: rel='canonical' href='http://site.com/article-title/' /> The other one is generated by AllinOne seo pack: <link rel="<a class="attribute-value">canonical</a>" content="<a class="attribute-value">http://site.com/article-title/</a>" /> I tried to remove one of them, but if i uncheck from AllinOne, the source code is the same. Also, on-page analysis from SeoMoz tells me that i need only one canonical link. I don't have errors in Google Webmater Tools. What should I do?

Two points of view on optimizing our search pages. What should we go with?
So we're in the process of going back and forth with our designer about optimizing our search results, which also doubles as a landing page for visitors searching with keywords like "Meeting Rooms Seattle" and "Seattle Meeting Spaces" We're on the front page in the SERPs, but still have a way to go. This is our current page: http://www.evenues.com/Meeting-Spaces/Seattle/Washington And this is something we've proposed for our designer to work with: http://imgur.com/JU1zg There search page text and links in the top left corner were to be placed for onsite SEO purposes ie we have no real text/content on the page for relevancy. We're currently in the process of writing the copy for each city on the search pages. Our designer made this argument: After giving it some thought I came to the conclusion that we may want to take a step back, and focus on the overall goal of this exercise. From what I have gathered, you would like to generate more click-throus and improve SEO, right? In my opinion, adding all of the provided copy and the link farm to the search results page would not necessarily help that. In fact, I think it would actually push the actual results way down. The content you provided me is more suited for a landing page, not a search results page (that is taking into consideration that you want similar content for other locations). Redfin has done a ton of great SEO work on their site. Using them as an example, if you go to Redfin.com, you will find tiny links in the footer that say "home for sale in seattle" etc. If you click on those, it puts you on a page like this: http://www.redfin.com/cities/1/seattle?src=homepage and then from there you can click to a neighborhood page like this: http://www.redfin.com/city/1387/WA/Bellevue. I would recommend that we create a set of location pages with the content the client is asking for, that are specifically optimized for SEO, and provide links in the footer of the site to get to those pages. Then the links on the new landing pages would land the user on the search results page. By keeping two different pages for two different purposes separate would help keep content more organized and help user find specific info they are looking for. As a quick fix we could put one line of text under the H1 text on search results as well, maybe with a strong tag. By doing that we will be able to keep the page looking clean and easy to navigate through. Anyways, that's just my two cents. Any ideas/input on this?
