Google + box on the right hand side
-
When you search on a company name in Google often the URL of the specific company is shown as 1st organic search result.
Often one will also see a Google+ box on the right side when searching on a company name. This Google+ box includes a brand logo as well.
Our company has also a Google+ account for several months.
This page is also shown in the regular organic search results.
But when I search on my specific company name, I don’t see the Google+ box on the right side of the results. However, when I search on my company name including my location, Google does show our Company information in Google Maps style, and that does include our last Google+ update as well.
What do I need to do to show our Google+ information on the right side in the organic results when someone searches on our company name (without location), so our work and updates within Google+ are rewarded.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Dear Chris,
I understand your question and the answer is you have to add Schema code in your website, Add this scrip to ur website
<script< span="">type="application/ld+json"> { "@context" : "http://schema.org", "@type" : "Person", "name" : "your name", "url" : "http://www.your-site.com", "sameAs" : [ "http://www.facebook.com/your-profile", "http://instagram.com/yourProfile", "http://www.linkedin.com/in/yourprofile", "http://plus.google.com/your_profile"] }</script<>

Hi Onlinq,
In case it will help you in your study of this, common terminology for these types of results would be the 'knowledge graph' or 'knowledge panel'. Specifically what I believe you're searching for would commonly be referred to as the 'local knowledge graph for brand name search'. Confusing, huh? There are several different types of graphs/panels. No one is absolutely certain of the exact factors that trigger a knowledge graph for a branded search, but if your Google+ efforts are new, chances are, you need more time to build up your authority in a variety of ways.
This is a relevant thread in the Google And Your Business Forum:
Here's another:
To develop your authority as a local business, start with these 20 factors:
http://moz.com/blog/top-20-local-search-ranking-factors-an-illustrated-guide
Then study all of the top local ranking factors:
http://moz.com/local-search-ranking-factors
My sense is that the local knowledge graph for brand searches appears once Google deems that a business has enough online authority to merit one.

Hi Tom,
It's a bit like the author tag in the way Google doesn't always pick it up, its not solely down to +1's also how much you use and interact with your community and if your brand is strong enough.
Test your site on the rich snippets testing tool if it's working in there, its working on the technical side of things. Might be a case to look into brand building.

Dear Chris,
Thank you for your reaction. Unfortunately, we already used _rel=publisher _on our website. Also, I see other companies with less +1's, that do have their Google + Brand page on the right side.
Anyone, any other ideas?
Tom

Hi there,
You may have heard of the tag rel=author well similar to that tag there is another called rel=publisher
what it does is links your Google + profile to your brand. There is no guarantee that the brand term will also link in the SERPs but if you regularly use your page and it has lots of +1's I'm sure it will have a much better chance. Technically as well you don't have to have the tag if you're Google page is verified but i don't see any harm in putting it in as it is an extra sign to Google that its your page etc.
This will only work on brand terms so I wouldn't feel you're loosing out a massive amount if ti doesn't work.
Hope that helps & Good Luck

Google Penalty and Adwords
Hi guys, I am wondering if the google manual penalty or penalty in general (because of bad backlink profile) also means that your website is blocked for Adwords? Thanks

Fetch as Google temporarily lifting a penalty?
Hi, I was wondering if anyone has seen this behaviour before? I haven't! We have around 20 sites and each one has lost all of its rankings (not in index at all) since the medic update apart from specifying a location on the end of a keyword. I set to work trying to identify a common issue on each site, and began by improving speed issues in insights. On one site I realised that after I had improved the speed score and then clicked "fetch as google" the rankings for that site all returned within seconds. I did the same for a different site and exactly the same result. Cue me jumping around the office in delight! The pressure is off, people's jobs are safe, have a cup of tea and relax. Unfortunately this relief only lasted between 6-12 hours and then the rankings go again. To me it seems like what is happening is that the sites are all suffering from some kind of on page penalty which is lifted until the page can be assessed again and when it is the penalty is reapplied. Not one to give up I set about methodically making changes until I found the issue. So far I have completely rewritten a site, reduced over use of keywords, added over 2000 words to homepage. Clicked fetch as google and the site came back - for 6 hours..... So then I gave the site a completely fresh redesign and again clicked fetch as google, and same result. Since doing all that, I have swapped over to https, 301 redirected etc and now the site is completely gone and won't come back after fetching as google. Uh! So before I dig myself even deeper, has anyone any ideas? Thanks.

Google + and Google Knoladge Graph
I am trying to get things to match up for the company brand websearch and the Google + page and we have had it for years now The knowledge graph on Google is showing the map, address and name (shown in attached image), but is not linked to a G+ page, as when i click the "Are you the business owner?" its is trying to make me create a new G+ business page. Anyone have any ideas on this? Also does the wiki name have to be exact for it to show? As for phone number would that be coming from the DNS record as that is nowhere in the markup rich snippet or normal markup Thanks in advance LC9cWdG

Cached pages still showing on Google
We noticed our QA site showing up on Google so we blocked them in our robot.txt file. We still had an issue with them crawling it so we blocked the site from the public. Now Google is still showing a cached version from the first week in March. Do we just have to wait until they try to re-crawl the site to clear this out or is there a better way to try and get these pages removed from results?

My keyword ranking suddenly went down in google.
Hi, Need urgently help, one of our website http://www.bannerbuzz.com keywords ranking is down suddenly since 6-11-2012, even we don't have done any changes on the website & we were on top on many keywords. We have done only one change recently is we have moved our website from shared server to dedicated server on last 21st October & we can see some traffic fluctuation after to redirecting from shared server to dedicated server, also website load time has been increase in Google Analytic, so it that reason to get rank down suddenly?, because all keywords has been down. We have also some affiliate sites like bannerbuzz.ca, bannerbuzz.co.uk & bannerbuzz.com.au which design and coding structure is as same as bannerbuzz.com, so is that a problem (Duplication issue)? We have tried to find out the solution for the same, but we didn't get any proper reason to get rank down suddenly. Can it happened due to dedicated server which we have moved recently or Google has changed anything in algorithm? Can we put website in Google reconsideration to know proper reason about the website? Following are the keywords on which we loose the ranking. Banners

How do you know what version of your site of Google is in their index?
This is going to sound like a strange question, but I am trying to understand which version of our site is in the index. You might think this is an obvious question, but here is why I am asking: 1. Today I searched for a specific keyword and found the listing. 2. I liked on the right arrow next to the listing and checked the cache date. It says 6/28 and shows the site as of 6/28. 3. I expected to see that we were just indexed as we jumped several pages since yesterday and I had just checked two days ago and we hadn't moved at all. It seems like Google may have taken the changes we made on 7/2 but since it is showing 6/28, I am note sure. Since this is confusing, here is the chronology: 1. Made changes 6/20. 2. Site appeared to be indexed on 6/28. 3. Made changes on 7/2. 4. Checked the site on 7/2 and we were in position 60. Checked the site on 7/4 and we were in position 61. 5.. Checked the site today (7/6) and see we are in position 8. The cache date shows as 6/28. I suspect that Google just indexed us yesterday and is reflecting the changes I made on 7/2. But the fact that it says it was cached on 6/28 seems to sugges otherwise. I want to be sure I know which version got us the good rankings - is there any way to be sure? Thanks!!

Odd Google Indexing Issue
I have encountered something odd with Google indexing. According to the Google cache my site was last updated on April 6. I had been making a series of changes on April 7th and none of them show up in the cached version of the site (naturally). Then, on the 8th, my rankings seem to have dropped about 6 places and the main SERP is showing a text that isn't even on the Web site. The cached version has the correct page title from the page that was indexed on the 6th. How do I learn where Google is picking this up from? There is a clean page title tag on my Web site. I've checked the server, etc to see what's going on. The text isn't completely unrelated, but it definitely impacted my ranking. Does Google ever have these hiccups when indexing?
