Brand Name: Conversion Rate Optimizing: Eponymous VS Generic
-
Good day all,
We are entertaining the idea of changing the Domain Name & Brand Name for straplessfashion.com. While still in development, the website sells women undergarments.
We did some survey research and it seems that women (age 18-40) really liked either "Demi's Dream" or "Almost Skin" as a good name. More specifically, Almost Skin seems to be the more popular choice over "Demi's Dream". I think "Almost Skin" catches attention quicker and may work best in PPC. However, when personalizing a brand name is considered, "Demi's Dream" might be the best choice.
Would you please offer your advise on which of these two names might be the best for a new Domain and Brand name for the website mentioned above? Which would convert better?
Thank you for your help.
Carlos

Track bounce rate per PPC keyword
Hi all Wondering if anyone could give me a nudge in the right direction with this please. When running an adwords campaign is there a way in which one can track the bounce rate on the landing page per keyword sending paid traffic? I've had a play about in adwords and GA and couldn't find the right option. The site I am sending traffic to is not a ecommerce site so cannot set up conversion tracking so we are going to monitor the bounce rates of different keywords and drop the ones which are bouncing much higher than others as it seems better to invest the budget in those words which are keeping people on the page for longer. Many thanks Carl

Adwords shows clicks but no conversions in GA
Hi Folks, I was wondering if anyone has come across a similar situation, I have setup adwords campaigns and included these in my Google Tag Manager setup and deployed the GTM snippet to a clients site. In adwords I can see clicks (2,000+) however in Google Analytics I can see only a handful ot conversions. Is there anyway I can test/track a conversion to ensure that it is being processed and report correctly? Also within AdWords Conversion Tracking I have noticed that under the "Webpages" tab that pages other than the pages that should have the conversion code on them are listed. Have I setup my Adwords camapign or GTM tags incorrectly? Any and all feedback or insight would be greatly welcomed and appreciated.

How to find average organic traffic growth rate for ecommerce startup?
Happy Friday Everyone, I have a quick question: I am in the process of crunching some numbers to try and figure out an organic traffic forecast for a client. One of the crucial metrics I can't seem to figure out is traffic rate of growth over the next year or so. The reason this is complicated for me is that I have only ever done this sort of thing for an established business before, and had plenty of past organic traffic data to work with. What I am looking for is a source that could give me a reasonable idea of what kind of growth rates I might expect for a startup with practically no data; I would be perfectly happy with a national average for online retail startups. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Need Advice on Home page Conversion Rate Improvement - not much $$s
Anyone out there have some suggestions for how I can improve my home page and increase my lousy conversion rate? I've spent years on the content and SEO optimization of my site and very little time on making a home page that sells stuff. Caveat - I don't have the money to go to one of those fancy companies who do a complete makeover and charge in the tens of thousands. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Conversion optimization with Optimizely, impact on SEO
I am looking into signing up with www.optimizely.com for conversion testing. They put scripting on my site which will then redirect half of my site visitors to an alternate home page. The site I want to test on is ranking quite well with Google and I do not want to hurt my rankings. And with this set up,what Google will think is my home page is not and so I am essentially sending visitors to a different page than Google reads as my home page in source code. So, my concern is whether this will have a negative impact on my SEO rankings to redirect 50% of site visitors to a different page using this testing tool? I would use Google Web Site Optimizer, but many of my sites are in Wordpress and it seems that Wordpress and web site optimizer are not so compatible. Advice would be appreciated. Thank you, Robert

Low conversion rate, high ticket item... but not THAT high
Oh great mozzers, I fall at your feet... I feel like I'm going insane... My client, 35 Degrees (http://35DegreesSteaks.com) is quite the mystery. I handle SEO and paid search for them, and we're doing great in those areas... however, we're just not seeing the conversions once I deliver these folks to the site. The people are targeted, the keywords are sound, and from what I can see, the checkout process isn't a mess... but they are just not getting the sales. We're currently starting to test some price points with some newer, lower cost "intro packages", so we'll see if that's one of the pain points. I'm also in the process of convincing them to include a Verisign or some other logo in the checkout process. However, I was hoping the great minds here could take a quick look and see if I'm missing anything else. Thanks in advance! Jeff

Landing Page Conversion Rates
I had a client claiming his industry (replacement home windows) conversion rate was around 15% based on his research. In my research i could find nothing of the sort, and really couldn't find a single place that provided this type of information. Anyone out there have some advice on where to research industry conversion rates (averages) or tools/thought processes to explore? Thanks! (these stats would primarily be used for goal setting and competitive analysis)
