Moz Analytics Campaign Landing Pages Update
-
Moz,
Any ideas why i am not seeing my landing pages information in my analytics campaign yet ?,
It has been a couple of days, i have reconnected my analytics, i have built up the keyword list a little more,
But i only get page data from clicking 'Include pages with no tracked keywords' but still no keyword data,
Am i miss understanding how this tool works or is there something else i need to setup ?
Thanks
James

I'm tracking keywords in .co.uk and .ie so hopefully they will roll out all English language soon

Hey James
Are you tracking your keywords within Google US? Moz replied to my email telling me the following:
'I am so sorry for the confusion! Right now, we are only able to provide this data for campaigns that are tracking Google US as one of the three search. We are working on a solution to this issue for campaigns tracking other search engines locales, most likely on English language locales, but I'm afraid that we don't have an ETA for when that will be available.
I know this isn't clear in the app. Unfortunately, there was some miscommunication when the feature was launched and it was made available to all campaigns, rather than to only campaigns tracking Google US. I sincerely apologize for that error! We are working to roll the launch back on campaigns that are not eligible until we are able to add the feature for other search engine locales.'
So basically it is only available for keywords being tracked within Google US!
Cheers
Alex

Hi James,
Paddy is correct. We pushed a fix for this, but users won't see it until your weekly keyword update.
I want to make sure that the fix we have is working. Can you confirm that you haven't had your weekly update yet? If you have, then we definitely want to take a look.
Cheers!

I posted the same question last week, the David_Lee (staff) replied :
Sorry about that. The blank pages is a known bug which has been fixed and we are hoping to have it deployed before the end of the week. I will let you know when this is released and will want to make sure your data appears.
then 2 days ago
Our engineers have resolved the issue and the fix will take affect during your next scheduled update!
my rankings updated the next day but I'm guessing it need a full update after the bug fix.... will know next week

Thanks,
I figured that was part of the reason and it would take a little time to roll out,
Just wanted to make sure i had not made a mistake hiding this data,
It just looks so damn useful as a feature , http://moz.com/blog/landing-pages-report-in-moz-analytics
Thanks

Hi James,
I am having the same problem - I have close to a thousand keywords that are being tracked but all from a new profile which is only a couple of weeks old. I think it must be a timing issue and sufficient data will have to filter through in order to show specific keywords against landing pages. At least that is all I can assume it to be right now... I will probably give it another couple of weeks (especially as it is a new feature) in the hope that data will eventually correlate with my keyword list.
Though if anyone else has any other insight?
Thanks,
Anthony

Report update
Hello, Could you please tell me if there is a fixed time for report update? Is it possible that the metrics change, but it shows that report is not updated.

Campaigns
I wanted to track different pages on my website with Moz in terms of keyword positions. Do I have to set up a new campaign for each url on my website that I want to track? I have to test campaigns set up in the free trial at present and it seems easy to track url movements when it is set up in its own page.

Good day, When I type my keyword in google, the website related to this keyword appears on page 1 (7th link from the top). However in Moz report, the keyword position is #13. I don't understand why. Can someone explain the reason? Thank you,

My question is, when you translate your website to another language, does moz crawl both or do i have to add another campaign to moz so that they can crawl it seperately?
Hello, i recently translated my website to spanish, keywords, meta tags, content etc. All of our URL for the translated pages start "ep", which symbolizes espanol. My question is, does moz crawl those pages along with my english pages? or do i have add another campaign for moz to crawl my spanish pages seperately?

Moz's official stance on Subdomain vs Subfolder - does it need updating?
Hi, I am drawing your attention to Moz's Domain basics here: http://moz.com/learn/seo/domain It reads: "Since search engines keep different metrics for domains than they do subdomains, it is recommended that webmasters place link-worthy content like blogs in subfolders rather than subdomains. (i.e. www.example.com/blog/ rather than blog.example.com) The notable exceptions to this are language-specific websites. (i.e., en.example.com for the English version of the website)." I am wondering if this is still Moz's current recommendation on the subfolders vs subdomains debate, given that the above (sort of) implies that SE's may not combine ranking factors to the domain as a whole if subdomains are used - which (sort of) contradicts Matt Cutts last video on the matter ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MswMYk05tk ) which implies that this is not the case and there is so little difference that their recommendation is to use whatever is easiest. It would also seem to me that if you were looking through the eyes of Google, it would be silly to treat them differently if there were no difference at all other than subdomain vs subfolder as one of the main reasons a user would use a sud-domain is a technical on for which it would not make sense for Google to treat differently in terms of its algorithm. I notice that in terms of Moz, while most of the site uses subfolders, you do have http://devblog.moz.com/ - and I was wondering if this is due to a technical reason or conscious decision, as it would seem to me that the content within this section is indeed linkworthy (as it has external links pointing to it from external sources), therefore it would seem to not be following the initial advice that is posted in Moz's basics on domains. Therefore I am assuming it is due to a technical reason - or that Moz's adive is out of date with current Moz thinking, and is indeed in line with Matt C in that it doesn't matter. Cheers

How to get moz to crawl a staging domain that is blocked by robots.txt
Is it possible to get Moz to do a crawl report on a domain blocked by robots.txt and actually display all errors instead of only one saying the domain was blocket in robots.txt? Anything i can add to robots.txt to make moz able to do the crawl report but still hinder google from crawling a staging domain?
