I came across. Synup.com while looking for citations. Anyone use the service before? I have used Whitespark and was happy with them, but synup looks pretty good also.

Just wondering if by any chance you gave Synup a chance are are still using it. Seems their model has changed a bit since your post from 2 years ago, and on paper it looks great, but I have not been able to get any feedback from people using them.

Do I need to use a CNAME for wistia video hosting?
I'm using Wisita for video hosting. My strategy is to allow other sites to embed videos to get links - I want the video linking back to my site not wistia or the embeding site. Do I need to use the Wistia CNAME or is a wistia subdomain acceptable?

How do I correctly use YouTube?
Hello! I have a someone that does online guitar lessons - their site is www.frethub.com. They use YouTube videos to promote the lessons on their site like this one - http://youtu.be/C1dOYys0H14, they're not the complete lesson but an intro to entice them on. The videos are of a really high quality and have had a few hundred hits in a couple of months - when I did a search on YouTube for "ledato guitar lesson" as an example they were nowhere to be seen despite the quality of the video and using tags etc. Anyway long intro! What I was wondering is are the rankings on YouTube based predominantly on number of hits or is there a way to use the tags better (presently they put in keywords and what comes up in the autosuggest), does how recently they were uploaded, author authority etc have anything to do with it? I appreciate it's a massive subject so any help is much appreciated 🙂 Thanks alot!

Anyone heard of...
I am thinking about hiring this company to do SEO work for 3 months (minimum contract). Anything I should be aware of? Questions I should ask? (calling them back today) There are so many people out there claiming to be the best that it is overwhelming - especially with the overall cost involved. The company was started by Peter R********? What's the deal with this local business directory? (http://www.camerchants.com/)
They have a couple listings of us with screwy info but i can't actually use their website, all the buttons that say "join" or "write a review" "uplaod an image" etc, are just an href="#" and don't actually do anything??? I figured maybe they have some broken javascript so i tried using different browsers (firefox & chrome in mac, and IE in windows.) Using 1 main site for many branch office locations
I have 1 main site with many many city/state pages within the site. I would like to use this site as the 'website' on the google local places pages for all my branch office locations, however I am worried that if my domain authority isn't high enough for the site, google will think I am spamming 'google places'. Are there any best practices I can follow to do this? Ideally I would like my blended search to show www.site.com/boston not as www.site.com
