Best techniques for trying to rank a single page website?
-
I am new to SEO and am currently trying to market a single page website. Its proving to be hard. I have managed to get the site to page one for a few keywords and it is improving (upto page 2 for some desired keywords) but it seems to have stuck there for a few weeks now - with no movement.
I am able to develop it if required. However I thought that I would just ask if there was anything that could give it a nudge without this? I have done on-site optimisation. As far as I'm aware that's about as good as it can be.
So any advice?

yeah I have decided to go multi-page with it. but this is a good idea - I think I will throw a blog in there as well, to keep the content fresh.
Thanks for the response.

These guys give great recommendations but if you need or want to stay with a one page website may i suggest starting a blog on site? So the site will grow pages using relative content. Hope this helps.

Generally it is social that I am doing - Facebook, Twitter and G+.
I think I am going to make the site multi-page. Seems the best way, just need to convince my client to spend the money. Just feel like I'm selling a dead horse at the minute.
Thanks for the response.

Step 1
make more content
single page website < multi-page site
A multi-page site is always better than a single page website. Single page sites are weaker and look spammy in the eyes of Google. stick some content on there try about us page or a FAQ etc. look at your competition see what pages they have you might be missing.

What are you doing to market the site? Good content is a great foundation, but it sounds like nobody knows you exist. That's where marketing comes in. Have you reached out to people who might be interested in your content? Maybe get some Adwords just to start the ball rolling and get relevant traffic. Do you have social media you could use to reach your target audience with?

Managing website content/keywords for wordpress site
We are in the midst of redesigning our website and have been working with freelance blog/content writers to increase the unique content on our site. We are finding it increasingly difficult to manage the topics/keywords as we continue to expand. Googledrive and google spreadsheets have been our primary tools thus far. Can anyone recommend a good tool that would allow us to manage content and blog posts for our site?

Does Google penalize duplicate website design?
Hello, We are very close to launching five new websites, all in the same business sector. Because we would like to keep our brand intact, we are looking to use the same design on all five websites. My question is, will Google penalize the sites if they have the same design? Thank you! Best regards,

What is the best way to point newly built website on new domain name to the original more well known domain?
Live website on abc.com domain is being totally redone and moved to a new platform. to facilitate full testing and compliance, the new look and content was built on a different url - xyz.com for example. Now that all content is approved and testing, we want people visiting the abc.com domain to see the xyz.com website without necessarily redirecting abc.com to xyz.com What is the best to do this? Thanks all

How not to get penalized by having a Single Page Interface (SPI) ?
Guys, I run a real estate website where my clients pay me to advertise their properties. The thing is, from the beginning, I had this idea about a user interface that would remain entirely on the same page. On my site the user can filter the properties on the left panel, and the listings (4 properties at each time) are refreshed on the right side, where there is pagination. So when the user clicks on one property ad, the ad is loaded by ajax below the search panel in the same page .. there's a "back up" button that the user clicks to go back to the search panel and click on another property. People are loving our implementation and the user experience, so I simply can't let go of this UI "inovation" just for SEO, because it really is something that makes us stand out from our competitors. My question, then, is: how not to get penalized in SEO by having this Single Page Interface, because in the eyes of Google users might not be browsing my site deep enough ?
