High Page Authrority, low Domain Authority. Good?
-
I am seeking links from real estate content sites to promote a free course I have about apartment investing. The response has been good from the first five sites I approached, with three granting links. In putting the linking pages on Open Site Explorer though I noticed on had a PA of 40, but a DA of 28.
Of course I am grateful for the link, but usually it is the DA that is higher. What does it mean when the PA is higher than the DA, and would a link from this page help me?
Any help is much appreciated.

Hi Chris,
I'm looking at expired domains, narrowing them down to only those with good quality link profiles, those with .edu, .gov links, genuine .org links and links coming in from otherwise quality sites. Because it is only the domain, and there are no pages to actually to go and look at, I am wondering if in this situation it matters whether the PA is higher than the DA.
Based on what you said, my guess is it just means that when the site was operating there was an internal page that had higher Authority than the home page, which is fine, but as long as the link profile overall looks good, the higher PA than DA doesn't really matter. Would you go along with that?
That's a good idea to see, on the OSE report, whether there are a lot of links going to one page in particular. I will doing that from here on.

Hank,
I'd expect that to mean there are some external links pointed at that page, or perhaps, to a category page above it. When you ran your OSE report did you look to see what links were pointing directly to that page vs. links pointing to the home page?
Be sure that the sites you're getting links on are not doing some low-end link building. If the pages you're getting links on are highly useful resources, you may expect people to link to them, if not, be careful and really investigate their back links.

Any links from on-target sites like this is good - just remember to keep the link and anchor-text clean and non-spammy.
With regards the different DA & PA, it just means that the MOZ crawler has deemed the internal page to be of a higher quality than the homepage. I can't think of any reason why this might be an issue, but you might need a MOZ techie to give you specific information on why it shows like this.

New pages on my web site
I have created web sites that appear somewhere on Google in hardly any time at all, but I appear to have forgotten something or things are different for pages added recently to an existing website. I have added a page on a particular subject, optimized it using on page grader, so that I get an A, and a check mark for everything except H1 tags and rel=canonical which my web hosting provider does not support. I do have a check mark for accessible to search engines The page has the format http://www.domain.com/specific-keyword It is in the menu, so should have internal links to it, as I understand it. I have created a new site map, and submitted it in webmaster tools. Interestingly it says that of the 96 pages only 76 were indexed is this a clue? and why would they not index a page I have then shared the page on google plus, facebook, tumblr, pinterest and twitter and some others In OSE it comes up as domain authority 28 page authority 1, the social media shares do show up in metrics on the right but no links internal or external are shown, they do on other pages I created in the same way. Is it just a case of waiting or is their something I do to help thank you

My Moz domain authority fell last week but so did all 3 of my competitors. What could cause that?
As a loyal Moz Pro subscriber I track my site's authority, trust and links against 3 similar competitors. Last week my authority fell from 61 to 60 but all 3 competitors saw a drop in their authority that week too. Was the Moz domain authority calculation changed? Did anyone else see a drop or has something odd happened to just our market? Any ideas? Not sure if this is something I should address or just shrug and ignore. Cheers

What is more important, page authority or linking root domains?
I have 2 pages in my report that are identical: www.ferringway.com (more page authority......21 vs. 1) www.ferringway.com/index.php (more linking root domains...... 40 vs. 21) Which one should I delete or should I do something like a 301 redirect? Your help is greatly appreciated! Sheryl

Crawl Test produced only 1 page
Hi, I recently submitted a crawl for www.cirrato.com using SEOMoz Crawl Test Tool. I have a lot of pages, but the crawl result shows only 1 page, which is the front page and nothing else... Does anyone know what this could mean or what the problem is?

On Page Analysis and Grading
I am new here and happy to be! My site is an ecommerce site with hundreds of products. I have set up campaigns to track specific products. For the on page analysis where SEOMOZ gives you a grade I have 2 urls showing. But 1 of the urls is getting an A, and 1 is getting a F. But they are the same url and obviously go to the same page. Any help would be appreciated!

Falling Domain Authority
What are the factors that would cause my domain authority to fall? As best I understand it, we would have to be losing links. For example, one of my clients started with a DA around 60 and now 4 months on it is sitting around 47. This has happened with a couple clients and I'm not really sure why or how to counteract it.
