How to point a framework to your website
-
Hi, my client use the NJOYN framework to insert all of the new job post on his website. The problem is that this framework is not hosted at the same place that his website is hosted. This create 2 domain name.
First: Example.com
second: example.njoyn.com
How can I tell google that example.noyn.com link with the site example.com?
Can I do this by simply 301 redirect the domain from example.njoyn.com to example.com?
I know that this is a framework, is there a way to have access to their htaccess file?
Finally, is there a way to rewrite example.njoyn.com/job1 to example.com/job1?
Thanks alot

There is a bit more complexity in using a cname, but a lot of big systems should be able to handle it as a standard thing, unless there is an inherit security risk. I use them both with freshdesk and maxcdn. Like take this http://cdn.dh42.com/certified.png and this http://dh42.com/certified.png The one with the cdn prefix is actually loaded from maxcdn, but it just looks like it came from my sub domain. Same with my freshdesk account, it is at help.dh42.com, but it actually is on their server.
I would prefer a cname to a 301, but sometimes you don't have a choice. Do you currently have anything at the site you are wanting to redirect to NJoyn? Or are your just looking to make it easier when you need to tell people where to go to?

Hi LesleyPaone & thanks for your awnser!
Does a 301 would be more powerfull than a Canonical Name?
Is there a difference in the complexity for NJoyn or other framework to accept the cname usage compare to a 301 redirect usage?
Thanks

The only way that it could work that I can see is if Njoyn allows the use of cnames. Then you could cname the domain to their portal.

How Does Google Handle Websites Like Craigslist
Hi, I am just eager to know that how Google handles the websites like craigslist.org because this is a classified website and also the same user we can expect to post with same title and description in many classified websites. So, this will cause many duplicate content issues and also thin content issues. So, how does Google treat this kind of websites. Thanks in Advance

Add Small Relevant Posts to website?
Hello Everyone, I'm starting a new WordPress-based community site WP Temple. As a part of this site, i'm going to be adding a "Code Snippets" Section which will show visitors how to do very specific things on their site. These snippets, by nature, will be small articles but contain highly-relevant for search. Should this content be indexed and followed, as well as added to my XML sitemap? I appreciate the feedback! Duplicate content issues with australian and us version of website
Good afternoon. I've tried searching for an answer to the following question but I believe my circumstance is a little different than what has been asked in the past. I currently run a Australian website targeted at a specific demographic (50-75) and we produce a LARGE number of articles on a wide variety of lifestyle segments. All of our focus up until now has been in Australia and our SEO and language is dedicated towards this. The next logical step in my mind is to launch a mirror website targeted at the US market. This website would be a simple mirror of a large number of articles (1000+) on subjects such as Food, Health, Travel, Money and Technology. Our current CMS has no problems in duplicating the specific items over and sharing everything, the problem is in the fact that we currently use a .com.au domain and the .com domain in unavailable and not for sale, which would mean we have to create a new name for the US targeted domain. The question is, how will mirroring this information, targeted towards US, affect us on Google and would we better off getting a large number of these articles 're-written' by a company on freelancer.com etc? Thanks,

Removing Out of Stock Items from an E-Commerce website
I have a dilemma. We have over 500 out of stock items that are still listed on our ecommerce website. I'm thinking it would be a good idea to leave them up because they are all considered content by google, and the keywords might drive traffic. On the other hand, the customers might be disappointed if the items are out of stock (we don't restock our sold out items), and many times, they will not lead to a conversion if the customer is looking for something very specific. Considering all these factors (and some unmentioned ones), my main question is: If I remove content, does that make all of the other content on our website stronger by having more pagerank and link juice flow to them, or do I hurt our rankings?
