Duplicate title on Crawl
-
Ok, this should hopefully be a simple one. Not sure if this is a Moz crawl issue of redirect issue.
Moz is reporting duplicate title for
www.site.co.uk , site.co.uk and www.site.co.uk/home.aspx
is this a canonical change or a moz setting I need to get this number lower.

Mhhh, to google these three domains are totally different entities, so if you have the same content on each page for sure it would be counted as duplicate content. But I can see you do have a 301 redirect to the canonical www, so you should not face that problem.
But you are talking about duplicate title only... In the report, when you see a duplicate title, it should also tell you (in a different column) which other pages are sharing the same title, what is it listing? I would check the redirect for those specific pages.

Hi there
Can you access all 3 versions of that page? www.site.co.uk - site.co.uk - www.site.co.uk/home.aspx
If so that is more than just a duplicate title issue - it could be a big duplicate content issue. I'd highly recommend redirecting other versions to one single version on your site.
The easiest way to do this is through 301 redirections - you can read the Moz guide on that here. On a related note, this bit of htaccess code will redirect all non-www pages of your site to their www. equivalent:
RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{HTTP_HOST} !^www.
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://www.%{HTTP_HOST}/$1 [R=301,L]Now, if you can't redirect for whatever reason, you can use canonical tags. Perhaps this is what you're already using? Basically, all 3 versions of the URL should only have 1 canonical tag version, such as:
The code must be in that format and in the tag of your website. All versions of the page should use the same version of the code.
I hope this helps.

Duplicate content analysis
Good morning everyone, I have just run a test from SEOmoz PRO tool and I got more than 2,000 double content errors. How might I see which are the 2 pages whose content is double? My website is just newly revamped and can't find these similarities on my own: for me there are not). Thanks for your help! Francesca

Crawl Diagnostics - unexpected results
I received my first Crawl Diagnostics report last night on my dynamic ecommerce site. It showed errors on generated URLs which simply are not produced anywhere when running on my live site. Only when running on my local development server. It appears that the Crawler doesn't think that it's running on the live site. For example http://www.nordichouse.co.uk/candlestick-centrepiece-p-1140.html will go to a Product Not Found page, and therefore Duplicate Content errors are produced. Running http://www.nhlocal.co.uk/candlestick-centrepiece-p-1140.html produces the correct product page and not a Product Not Found page Any thoughts?

Duplicate pages with canonical links still show as errors
On our CMS, there are duplicate pages such as /news, /news/, /news?page=1, /news/?page=1. From an SEO perspective, I'm not too worried, because I guess Google is pretty capable of sorting this out, but to be on the safe side, I've added canonical links. /news itself has no link, but all the other variants have links to "/news". (And if you go wild and add a bunch of random meaningless parameters, creating /news/?page=1&jim=jam&foo=bar&this=that, we will laugh at you and generate a canonical link back to "/news". We're clever like that.) So far so good. And everything appears to work fine. But SEOMoz is still flagging up errors about duplicate titles and duplicate content. If you click in, you'll see a "Note" on each error, showing that SEOMoz has found the canonical link. So SEOMoz knows the duplication isn't a problem, as we're using canonical links exactly the way they're supposed to be used, and yet is still flagging it as an error. Is this something I should be concerned about, or is it just a bug in SEOMoz?

Why does my crawl report show just one page result?
I just ran a crawl report on my site: http://dozoco.com The result report shows results for just one page - the home page, but no other pages. The report doesn't indicate any errors or "do not follows" so I'm unclear on the issue, although I suspect user error - mine.

Scheduling crawls between certain time periods
Hi, today SEOMoz crawled our site and it interfered with an email campaign that we sent out and pretty much brought our site to a crawl (seoMoz even reported numerous 4XX errors). Is there a way to tell the crawler to only allow indexing between certain time periods?
