ALL CAPS in title
-
What's the latest from Google (and others) when using all caps in part of a page title, for example, "Custom-engineered Valves | MOGAS". This is how we've presented titles the past 7 years, but since we're updating the site and touching everything we'd prefer to keep consistent branding... the owner's name is Mogas, but we brand the company as MOGAS. Thoughts?
-
Another thing to consider is how having your brand in all caps takes up more of the allotted pixel space for the title, even if it's just a little bit more. I'm seeing a lot of titles (in Google SERPs) have their brand name moved to the front, regardless of the actual title tag, so think about how "MOGAS: Title Tag" vs. "Mogas: Title Tag" might push important terms out. You might even consider having your titles start with the brand name since Google's adjustments seem to indicate a preference.
I hope this helps!

Agree, it doesn't matter.
My only point is it is worth keeping a nice case sensitive meta if possible through the whole site NO ONE LIKES TO READ ALL IN CAPS! However that's not relevant to your question.

I agree with JVRudnick
IMO it just appears spammy to the users if anything. Its just annoying to me personally and nobody likes BEING YELLED AT but like JVR said, Google ignores it so I wouldn't worry about it effecting your rankings or anything. More just a User experience ordeal.

No worries, as G ignores the case sensitive issue....my own firm is KKT INTERACTIVE Inc. and it's been fine in G for like 20 years....
Can't speak on Yahoo/BING tho....anyone else know?

Primary keyword in every page title of website
Hi all, We can see many website page titles are filled with "brand name & primary keyword" at suffix. Just wondering how much this gonna help. Or can we remove "primary keyword" from other non-relevant pages and limit the same to important pages to rank well? Thanks

Google sets brand/domain name at the end of SERP titles
Hi all, I am experiencing that Google puts our domain name at the end of the titles in SERPs. So if ia have a title: "See our super cool website", Google would show "See our super cool website - Betxpert.com" in the SERPs Well. This is okay. Apart from the fact that i myself often put the brand name in the title AND the fact that Google mispells the site name. The brand is BetXpert with a upper case X...so when i get a SERP with "See our super cool website - BetXpert - Betxpert.com" I am annoyed 🙂 Any one out the know how to tell Google the EXACT brand name, such that they do not set a value the site owner does not want to have? -Rasmus

Best Practices for Page Titles | RSS Feeds
Good Morning MOZers, Quick question for the community: when creating an RSS feed for one of your websites, how do you title your RSS feed? Currently, the sites I'm managing use the 'rss.xml' for the file name, but I was curious to know whether or not it would, in any way, benefit my SERP if I were to add my domain to precede the 'rss.xml', i.e. 'my-sites-rss.xml' or something of that nature. Beyond that, are there any 'best practices' for creating RSS feed page titles or is there a preferred method of implementation? Anybody have any solutions

Meta Title Not Showing up in Google
Hello Friends, I have a website, www.bollywoodshaadis.com. On 1st may we changed our servers and revamped our website as per SEO updated guidelines. For some strange reason Google is not showing site Meta Title when you search the website on Google. All it shows is the domain name in the meta title. However, when you search info:www.bollywoodshaadis.com it shows the right Meta tags. Any reason for this happening? I have never seen this before. Thank you in advance.

Title Tags and Over Optimization Penalty
In the past, it was always a good thing to put your most important keyword or phrase at the beginning of the Title Tag with the company name at the end. Now according to the over optimization penalty in the Whiteboard Friday video, it seems to be better to be more human and put the company name at the beginning with the keyword or phrase following. Am I understanding this correctly?
