Universal Analytics Ecommerce data
-
Hi there,
I have started to use Universal Analytics on my ecommerce site. I have implemented the code using Google Tag Manager.
I don't see any ecommerce data on Universal Google Analytics under Conversions/Ecommerce. Can you please point me to the right direction?
Also, can you please send me the best article on this topic? I want to know the bit of code that I have to add and all that UA can provide to get the most of my data for my ecommerce store.
Thanks and regards

What I would say is that you need to know what CMS you are using.

Hi footd,
Congrats on beginning to use Universal Analytics (UA) for your site, you're on your way to gathering that all important data. Also, using Google Tag Manager (GTM) is another great tool and highly recommended - so congrats again on the wise choices.
After implementing Enhanced Ecommerce, it can take 24-48 hours for data to appear in GA, so if you've only recently implemented the code you may need to wait longer to see the data.
Unfortunately, implementing Enhanced Ecommerce tracking can be different in each environment (WordPress, Magento, custom CMS, custom websites, ect). Himanshu Sharma of Optimize Smart wrote a fantastic article covering EE, its benefits, and implementation here: http://www.optimizesmart.com/understanding-enhanced-ecommerce-tracking-universal-analytics/
Best of luck!

Reverse an Ecommerce Transaction in Analytics
I am looking for help on using Googles Reverse an Ecommerce Transaction in Analytics work flow documented here: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1037443?hl=en&ref_topic=1037062 Essentially an incorrect transaction was processed that was for such a large number that it is really messing up reporting. I have never used Googles outlined process and from my research it looks like it might not reverse the transaction for the date it was placed but ad a negative amount to offset it on the date submitted. This will still work for year of year reporting but it will mess up the data for two different days in one month. If someone who had done this before has any insight please chime in thanks! Here is a support thread about the reverse transaction messing up a different days data. https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!searchin/analytics/reverse$20transaction/analytics/gDiVNJDwx5I/BwlNJ9D6Lp8J

Google Analytics
Is there any way around being able to set up 20 goals in Analytics? What if one of my clients want to set up 10 pages with separate actions to track on each page. Will then each actions count as a separate goal? If this is the case, how could I work around creating more than 20 goals? Would I have to look into hiring/buying a third party or separate software? Your help is greatly appreciated.

Using Regex for Goals in Google Analytics
I’ve got a website with 20 different forms; and I’d like to track all 20 form completions with one Goal in Google Analytics. The completion-page URLs follow the pattern below (the website uses Drupal CMS) Form One: www.acme.com/node/2990/done?sid=651 Form Two: www.acme.com /node/2991/done?sid=785 Form Three: www.acme.com /node/2992/done?sid=1021 Form Four: www.acme.com /node/2993/done?sid=459 I believe that there is a way I can use regex so Google Analytics will track if any of these completion URLs appears. Looking for guidance how to format the regex statement.

Regular Expressions in Google Analytics
I want to use the Google Analytics landing page reports to look at the bounce rate of top level pages excluding the homepage. So pages with urls: www.example.com/example Does anyone know a regular expression that will allow me to do this? Just to clarify I do not want to look at the bounce rate of the homepage or any pages deeper than www.example.com/example e.g: www.example.com/example/example www.example.com/example/example/example etc Thanks in advance
