Universal Analytics Ecommerce data
-
Hi there,
I have started to use Universal Analytics on my ecommerce site. I have implemented the code using Google Tag Manager.
I don't see any ecommerce data on Universal Google Analytics under Conversions/Ecommerce. Can you please point me to the right direction?
Also, can you please send me the best article on this topic? I want to know the bit of code that I have to add and all that UA can provide to get the most of my data for my ecommerce store.
Thanks and regards

What I would say is that you need to know what CMS you are using.

Hi footd,
Congrats on beginning to use Universal Analytics (UA) for your site, you're on your way to gathering that all important data. Also, using Google Tag Manager (GTM) is another great tool and highly recommended - so congrats again on the wise choices.
After implementing Enhanced Ecommerce, it can take 24-48 hours for data to appear in GA, so if you've only recently implemented the code you may need to wait longer to see the data.
Unfortunately, implementing Enhanced Ecommerce tracking can be different in each environment (WordPress, Magento, custom CMS, custom websites, ect). Himanshu Sharma of Optimize Smart wrote a fantastic article covering EE, its benefits, and implementation here: http://www.optimizesmart.com/understanding-enhanced-ecommerce-tracking-universal-analytics/
Best of luck!

Two lots of Analytics - one not Universal
Hi, We have been using two lots of GA code on our website - one was the old code and we added the new GA code under a different property too. Now that the old code is redundant do I: update the old code on property 1 to the Universal version and keep running the two properties (not sure this is the one I should do) remove the old code from property 1 and don't replace it with Universal version (but what happens to historical data?) remove the new code in property 2 and update the old code to the latest Universal version (but what happens to the historical data in property 2 or doesn't it matter?) The current code on the site is: <noscript><p>Please enable javascript</p></noscript> <noscript><p>Please enable javascript</p></noscript> <noscript><p>Please enable javascript</p></noscript> <noscript><div>Please enable JavaScript for your browser.</div></noscript> I've clearly got a bit confused so help would be appreciated. Thanks

Tracking repeat buyers Universal Analytics
Hi there, I want to track the repeat buyers on my ecommerce. In order to do that, I am going to create a custom dimension on Analytics. The custom dimension will be called "repeat_buyers" with scope user because I want to track the user over time. Is my assumption correct? How would you you set it up? When I have this dimension, I would just apply the default metric transaction on my reports. I don't have experiencie on custom dimensions so I might be totally wrong. Can you please help? Thanks and regards

Google Analytics-Unique visitors?
Does organic search data show unique visitors or all visits? For example, if someone ( a single person) visits my site multiple times after searching the same keyword phrase, does that show in my analytics data as 1 hit from that keyword, or all hits? Thanks!

Advanced Segment on Google Analytics
Hello there, hope everyone is allright and rockin' the SEO world 🙂 Was wondering if anyone could give a tip on how to configure an 'Advanced Segment' on Google Analytics. Basically I need to isolate traffic for 4 specific subfolders. E.g. www.mywebsite.com/solutions/A www.mywebsite.com/solutions/B www.mywebsite.com/solutions/C www.mywebsite.com/solutions/D/part1 Please note that the website has more pages under the specific section. E.g www.mywebsite.com/solutions/Z www.mywebsite.com/solutions/D/part2 but I only need to isolate the 4 directories (and their own sub-folders) mentioned above. Any idea how I could do this? Thanks a lot Joe

Tracking analytics on several domains
Hello, I am looking for some advice. I am working with a real estate client. They have a main website, and then several separate agent websites. The agent sites share some content with the main site, as well as having some unique content. My question is what is the best way to track visitors? Should I have separate Google Analytics accounts for each site, or should I use one account and separate profiles?

In-Page Analytics
Hey folks, In the in-page analytics section of GA I am wanting to get the % of clicks on a particular link over a large selection of dates. Does anyone know how to pull the data without having to do it day by day? Ideally I want to pull it all at once. There might of course be other ways to do this, if so please let me know. Thanks for your help. Cheers,
