Doing large scale visual link/content analysis
-
Hi i currently have a list of about 5000 URLs i want to visually check quickly, to identify decent content.
I'm currently opening 200 at a time with firefox, more than 200 it gets really choppy and slow as you would expect.
I was wondering if anyone knew any other ways of opening a large amount of web pages. It would be sweet if there was a tool which can scan a list, add the webpages to a pdf/powerpoint and send them back to you for analysis.
Kind Regards,
Chris

Looking at a screenshot of a website is a very poor way to determine content quality.

It can be solve if you have good configuration system like macbook air , you can open as many pages as you need also the server does matter how sooner your pages are visible .

Have you considered Screaming Frog SEO Spider? You can let it crawl your entire site and then start with the content that has a very low word count. That would be a signal that the page is too thin and needs to be adjusted. Depending on the site, that might cut down quite a bit on the manual analysis.

Any Website SEO Benefits from SAAS Linked Content?
An installed software application has a help section for users, and that help content is housed on the software company website. Would the links from the software application to the company website benefit the websites SEO efforts? Or, would no referring URL mean no SEO value?

Website homepage must be first link from every page of sub folders which are related in content?
Hi, I have seen number of websites where they keep their website homepage as first link from every page of sub folders and even from sub domain pages some times. For example, giving website homepage as top navigational menu from every page in their blog. Will this helps in boosting the ranking of homepage if we link from sub folder or sub domain pages where they employ related content like blogs or help guides. Thanks

SEO Class/Course/Certification
Hello, I'm located in the US and I'm looking for **good **SEO classes or courses. Something that provides certification when completed, if possible. This is something that my employer wants to do. I know MOZ offers a lot of information here and has a course as well, but I'm looking for something that is in person. I tend to learn better that way. I see some things pop up when I search, but I believe most of it is just junk. I am looking for something that would basically go from intermediate to advanced. Thank you!

Will link juice still be passed if you have the same links in multiple, outreach articles?
We are developing high quality, unique content and sending them out to bloggers to for guest posts. In these articles we have links to 2 to 3 sites. While the links are completely relevant, each article points to the same 2 to 3 sites. The link text varies slightly from article to article, but the linked-to site/URLs remain the same. We have read that it is best to have 2 to 3 external links, not all pointing to the same site. We have followed this rule, but the 2 to 3 external sites are the same sites on the other articles. I'm having a hard time explaining this, so I hope this makes sense. My concern is, will Google see this as a pattern and link juice won't be passed to the linked-to URLs, or worst penalize all/some of the sites being linked to or linked from? Someone I spoke to had suggest that my "link scheme" describes a "link wheel" and the site(s) will be penalized by Penguin. Is there any truth to this statement?

URL Redirect: http://www.example.net/ vs. http://www.example.net
I currently have a website set up so that http://www.example.net/ redirects to http://www.example.net but **http://www.example.net/ **has more links and a higher page authority. Should I switch the redirect around? Here's the Open Site Explorer metrics for both: http://www.example.net/ Domain Authority: 38/100 Page Authority: 48/100 Linking Root Domains: 112 Total Links: 235 http://www.example.net Domain Authority: 38/100 Page Authority: 45/100 Linking Root Domains: 18 Total Links: 39

PDF for link building - avoiding duplicate content
Hello, We've got an article that we're turning into a PDF. Both the article and the PDF will be on our site. This PDF is a good, thorough piece of content on how to choose a product. We're going to strip out all of the links to our in the article and create this PDF so that it will be good for people to reference and even print. Then we're going to do link building through outreach since people will find the article and PDF useful. My question is, how do I use rel="canonical" to make sure that the article and PDF aren't duplicate content? Thanks.

How do I find the links on my site that link to another one of my pages?
I ran IIS Seo toolkit and it found about 40 pages that I have no idea how they exist. What tool can I use to find out what internal link is linking to them so I can fix them or get rid of them?

Are links to on-page content crawled / have any effect on page rank?
Lets say I have a really long article that begins with links to anchors on the same page. E.g., Chapter 1, Chapter 2, etc, allowing the user to scroll down to different content. There are also other links on this page that link to other pages. A few questions: Googlebot arrives on the page. Does it crawl links that point to anchors on the same page? When link juice is divided among all the links on the page, do these links count and page rank is then lost? Thanks!
