Can we use images from the internet of celebrities?
-
Hi,
Can we use images from the internet of celebrities?
We have a Indian celebrity website. Can we use images from other websites? Would that be legal? as 100's of sites use them?
Should i have them no index ? or no follow pages?
Thanks

However, just because an image is visible in Google Image search, does not mean you have the rights to simply use the image as you see fit. Other parties may have intellectual ownership over each image.
-
Go to Google images and search for your favourite celebrity and then modify your search by clicking on the "Search Tools" and select the labelled for reuse and if your celeb is famous enough you should see a few you can use.

I would avoid using images that you do not own or have not purchased.
As per the previous comments their is a chance you could be in breach of copyright laws, this could open you up to a whole heap of trouble. If you really need to use images of celebrities I would possibly look into buying images from media outlets who can sell you these for a license fee and tell you how they can be used.
You could possibly find what you are looking for on sites such as Getty Images or Shutterstock. Alternatively, if you have access to a camera or photographer, you could then get some yourself.
Hope this helps.

Using images you do not have a license for is stealing.
Someone else made those images. Someone else owns the copyright of those images.
It's no different to stealing a car - you wouldn't do that would you? - Even if the keys had been left in the ignition!
-
Agree with Keszi, you'll eventually run into issues with the copyright on pictures, either by the celebrity or the owner of the picture.
-
I'd rather not use images that are not licensed or owned by my company.
That's just my personal opinion.
Gr., Keszi

What Tools Should I Use To Investigate Damage to my website
I would like to know what tools I should use and how to investigate damage to my website in2town.co.uk I hired a person to do some work to my website but they damaged it. That person was on a freelance platform and was removed because of all the complaints made about them. They also put in backdoors on websites including mine and added content. I also had a second problem where my content was being stolen. My site always did well and had lots of keywords in the top five and ten, but now they are not even in the top 200. This happened in January and feb. When I write unique articles, they are not showing in Google and need to find what the problem is and how to fix it. Can anyone please help

How can I use MOZ to investigate a my recent drop in domain authority?
Between MOZ's last scan of my site and the one before my domain authority dropped from 35 to 29. I'm not sure where to begin investigating this and how I can leverage MOZ in this case. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Can someone evaluate this page so I can continue adding others?
Hi, I am adding a bunch of similar category stickers and I am not looking into that good SEO for these since there will be hundreds of them coming but I just want to include the relevant keywords that people perhaps use in the Google image search to take them to our site. They are all related to JDM (Japanese Domestic Motors) so I decided to include JDM at the end of all the SEO titles. I am writing totally different short descriptions for all of these stickers and the Related Products are changing as well. I just want to achieve something like Amazon or eBay listings do - not the perfect SEO since I cannot spend too much time with each sticker optimizing it but I don't want to NOINDEX, FOLLOW them either - hence the different related products for all items and also unique short descriptions. If you check one of the pages: http://www.redrockdecals.com/rising-sun-wakaba-leaf-sticker-red-black-jdm Do you think I should be in the safe side so I don't hurt my overall SEO? Thanks!!

CSS Float Top Left Image not displaying
Using CSS/HTML in Dreamweaver CC, I am trying to display a SEO friendly matrix of six images wide by three deep on the Home Page, but cannot get the first (top left) image to display consistently. The page appears correctly in Dreamweaver Design View, but not in the Live View. Equally it works fine in Safari, but not in Firefox nor I.E. I seem to have tried every CSS variation to resolve this issue, without success. Can someone stear me in the right direction, please? The relevant HTML Code ... What factors matters the most when using a 301 permanent redirect?
Hi SEOmozzers, I have a client that has couple of duplicates but I am debating if i should just kill those pages or use 301 Permanent redirects. I know SEO moz provides 2 important factors to look at which are PA and link root domain. 1.Which one matters the most? or which one should I look at first to make a decision? 2. I have empty pages creating duplicate content with a PA of 14 and 1 linking root domain. my thought is to kill the page by inserting a meta NO INDEX. If you don't agree and think I should 301 to an existing page that needs link juice, let me know. Thank you mozzers 🙂
