Does adding relevant keywords to social postings help with SEO?
-
I was doing some research on social postings and SEO and couldn't really find the answer to my question. Would adding in SEO keywords help with my site's relevancy or would it just help boost my site because of backlinking?
For example if I were to add a new Facebook post "Check out these great new blue widgets " help more than "Check out these new products "?
Thanks!

Facebook and Twitter are no follow links, which means that there is no benefit at all to your link profile. I agree with Robert mostly. Since these links are no follow, the key terms will only help if users are searching the respective social media platforms for your product. The benefit to SEO from Social networks comes solely from the trust factor social signals send.
High engagement tells the engines that you are a reputable business, and, as we continue through 2015 most SEOs expect these social signals to increase in importance. I would recommend that you use your social media to build popularity and increase your audience. Stuffing your pages with keywords will have absolutely no effect on your SEO rankings.
The exception to this is Google Plus. Posts on Google Plus can influence the SERPs of people who are in your circles. For example, when I am logged into my MCC account and I search for one of my key terms, I often see my Google plus posts in the results. Other than that, there is no benefit to that platform either.
Here is another post with some more information I might have missed. Hope that helps!

Hello Kaitlyn,
What you are describing would not help you from an algorithmic perspective. It would, however, make your posts more open to users who were specifically looking for content related to "blue widgets". This would drive more targeted traffic to your site, which might lead to better conversion rates.
This would not help with backlinking (except that visitors to your site might link back to your article if they found exactly what they were looking for, in which case specifying the purpose of the article would probably help), nor would it do much for your rankings in Google (assuming the content was properly optimized), except as a measure of trust as indicated by your site visitors (CTR, BR, etc.)
At the end of the day, it is not about how much traffic you can send to your site, but how well that traffic converts.
The short answer to your question is that it would help, but only through "soft ranking factors" (user experience) rather than "hard ranking factors" such as linking, on-page optimization, etc.
Hope this helps and best of luck!
Rob

DA without PA, Does it help?
My site has been getting great conversions for over a year, My lead count has been increasing monthly. But since january my traffic started decreasing then at the end of march the traffic dropped in half. I think it was called Update Fred. Yet i have only lost rankings for a few keywords. That i can see. I went from 30-40 leads per day down to 10 per day. The few keywords which dropped are most likely the guilty keywords i use to get my traffic from . At this point I started studying my backlinks to see how they are looking. I noticed alot of High DA links which mostly have PA-1.. My question is ...Will DA alone give me the link juice i need to gain top positions?

I have 5 websites (www.sample.com) targeting 5 different counties
www.samplecn.com (china)
www.sampleny.com (new york)
www.samplekr.com (korea)
www.samplejp.com (japan)
www.samplesg.com (singapore) On each website i have a flag logo on every single page/ header allowing users to select the other websites. After 4 months, i end up with 200,000 backlinks from all the other 4 websites Why am i worried: I find myself ranking #1 for a lot of the keywords for the 4th months straight now without doing much SEO optimization. And there are alot of websites below me which have better and more informative site than me. Should i be worried? am i doing something called "sitewide links"?1 -
When leaving guest posts on blogs, are blog profiles such as Disqus relevant for SEO?
In other words, instead of the comment linking back to the money site it is being linked back to a blog profile which contains a link to the money site. Is this still as effective?

Best SEO Friendly URL
Hi. Currently I'm using the following url: mysite.com/this-is-the-news-title/news-1234 The news title followed by the directory and the news id. Same goes to mysite.com/my-name/user-123 I think its better for SEO since the relevant words (news title and name) are to the left of the link. But some people are saying that this is not good for SEO because crawlers can't "organize" the urls in directories. So they say its better to use: mysite.com/news/this-is-the-news-title/1234 mysite.com/user/my-name/123 Cause then the crawler know what is a news and what is a user. What do you guys think? Thanks.

SEO Virgin - how shall I start ?
Hello everybody, I'm pretty new to this whole SEO world but Im willing to do my best to learn the most crucial things in order to optimize our site for it. I've purchased the pro option and hope to get some insights into areas that need to optimized in order to get a great ranking by google. I've already started with share linking and social media activities, in order to build up links to our sites. Since our community will be a specified media sharing portal, Im not quite sure how I should start the linking process besides posting some relevant articles on digg, delicious, facebook, etc, incl. relevant links and content... I read in some of your forums that you would not recommend to pay for links. So how shall I start with the onpage optimization and link building process ? Appreciate your help! Thanks a ton! M.
