"Apply with LinkedIn" button
-
My client is a recruitment company and they've recently added "Apply with LinkedIn" buttons on their site for candidates. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about the effects of adding this to SEO?
I suspect it will have little impact, but thought I should research anyway. After a lot of searching, I can't find much on this topic with specific reference to this button.
I've read LinkedIn are phasing this out too.
Can anyone offer any insight into adding this button?
Thank you in advance.
Paul.

Thank you very much.

Like most social media buttons, any link involved is tagged nofollow. There are really no SEO effects to adding a button like that onto a site.

Does posting links in comments on Linkedin count as blackhat?
Hello, I noticed a competitor site has started writing a post on linkedin and then adding the link to the article they are referencing in the comments section. I started to dig into this and came up with this useful post https://growthrocks.com/blog/linkedin-abtest-link-in-comment/ to me that all screams black hat, spamming and scamming... What does the Moz Community think? Sincere thanks for feedback and I hope you're safe - wherever you are... Rhiannon

Using Linkedin Groups for Content Marketing
In my sector there are approximately 100 relevant groups that I could post content to. There are between 5 and 10 that would be relevant to any particular blog post. How many groups should I post to? If I post to all relevant ones I can end up spamming due to overlapping group membership, If I don't I can miss out on access to a potentially large audience What's best practice here?

Should my Facebook like button be for my Facebook page or my webpage?
I am curious as to people's opinion about the Facebook like button you add to a given website. It would seem with the increased influence of social media indicators that you would want to have people "like" your webpage (as opposed linking the like back to your Facebook page) when they go to your webpage, but this dilutes the number of likes you get at both Facebook and your webpage. It is my understanding that people are more likely to "like" a page that already has a lot of "likes." As most of my clients are very small businesses, this is a significant consideration as their "like" volumes are very low by default (i.e., if you only have a few hundred people who even use your business it is hard to get thousands of likes). Thanks for your opinion!
