SEO Strategy Report Structure
-
I am looking to get a structure for an SEO strategy document. While I understand that the specific tactics that you will used will vary significantly from project to project I would love to get my hands on a document that has heading that should be covered off in an SEO strategy report. Any help is very much appreciated. Thanks
-
Yep I think between the two I should be in a really good place. Thanks

Conor,
Okay. Are you looking specifically for content creation or what needs to be done as a SEO provider?
Clickminded.com has a great general SEO Checklist that's new for 2015 called The 2015 SEO Checklist. Is that more of what you are looking for?

Nope I think I may be asking for something that is impossible to product. I think what I am trying to get to is a hybrid between the 8 steps from above and then a checklist for content creation that can be shared with anyone producing content. I want a document that lays out a general strategic approach to SEO as well as having the basic hygiene factor best practices included. Is there a template for anything like that?
-
Connor,
That can be difficult as each client is looking for something different. Most customers, in my experience, has wanted to know every detail. Usually its page 1 search results, and you can see how many pages on the site is on front page compared to how many aren't and how that has changed due to your efforts. Other things like conversions and/or traffic is easy using any web-page analytic software.
Is that a little better for you, or am I still missing the question?Alex Brown

Thanks yes I had come across this and it is very helpful. My question was more to do with a structure for presenting an SEO strategy to clients/internal stakeholders. So how do you structure a document that outlines the SEO process. What needs to be included and what can you leave out?
-
Hi Connor,
I'm not quite sure what you're asking for. If I understand correctly you're looking for an outline for the step-by-step process of SEO?
Although this is an older article, I believe it to be a great outline and still use it!
Please let me know if this helps!

Where to Look for a Standard 9-5 SEO Job
Hello, I'm looking for a standard 20-30 hour a week SEO job. I'd like to make $30/hour. My resume is here. So far I'm making a list of all the SEO companies in Boise, Idaho. Then I'm going to also call up the larger companies in my local area. I'm interested in knowing how to best look for a job, and if there are any national companies where I could do work locally for. Let me know what other information I can provide.

SEO For Local Searches
I run a driving school of over 100 instructors in the UK. We cover around 60 different areas. My homepage www.driveJohnsons.co.uk is optimised for 'driving lessons' and 'driving school' search terms mainly. My area pages are optimised for the same but with the area included ie: Driving Lessons Birmingham or Driving Lessons Leeds I've taken a drop in many areas... I've cleaned up my incoming links using the disavow too and upped more relevant links associated with the same industry as myself. The question i have is should i change my URL's for my area pages from www.driveJohnsons.co.uk/driving-lessons-leeds to: www.driveJohnsons.co.uk/leeds I've been told stuffing the URL with keywords for an area actually dilutes the strength of my homepage and all the other areas. At the moment i have 60 area pages with: www.drivejohnsons.co.uk/driving-lessons-area It use to work a treat, but i've started seeing some companies change their URLs to: /area and excluding the driving-lessons If i make this change then i'm either going to have to bit the bullet on build up links for those areas again or do a redirect for each area. I've added most areas to google places and i've added google map to many of area pages too. If anyone knows a bit more, please let me know...

Does Sticky Post in WordPress Have Impact on SEO?
Hi, I Have a Blog that I have attached a "sticky" post, obviously the content in the "sticky" post is the content that I want to ensure that everyone sees. I do update, by adding new posts daily or at least everyother day, my question is: Is the "sticky" post hurting, helping, or is it indifferent to SEO? I know the SE enjoy fresh content, and was wondering does that fresh content have to pop-up at the top of the page otr not. Any input would be great. Thanks. Jimmy

How do you learn SEO effectively, with so much information out there
I’m reasonably new to the SEO market, but I find it hard to keep up with all the information that comes out daily. I not always sure what to believe or who for that matter present company accepted (SEOmoz). But I’m sure I am not the only one who finds this difficult, does anyone know of accredited courses in SEO / Internet marketing, in the UK or distant learning that could give me a very good grounding. Or if anyone just has some good ideas on how to take all this information in, I would very much appreciate their views. Regards Kevin

Help! I need to hire a SEO / SEM Specialist - Am I asking for too much?!
Hey all! I'm expanding my in-house marketing team and I need to add an SEO / SEM Specialist that will strategize, execute & manage the following: Organic SEO PPC across multiple channels (Google, Bing & also social sites like Facebook) Remarketing & Display marketing Banner ads Retargeting We're a lean company that's all about doing more with less. But not being very familiar with the SEO / SEM world I'm afraid I'm asking for too much! What do you guys think? What's your experience been? If you do think that this is potentially a single position, what would be the best title for attracting talent? SEO / SEM Specialist? Digital Marketing Manager? With the research I've done - jobs / titles have been totally across the board! I'm not able to find much consistency. Thank you all for your help 🙂 It's greatly appreciated!!!!!

What are some good organizations an SEO company can join that are strong trust signals?
We are working on a website redesign, and want to prominently include some trust signals that help people feel comfortable with us. We're including logos of a few places we've guest posted, and also the BBB and local chamber of commerce. Do you have any other ideas on logos we can include that are good trust signals? Any associations or organizations we could join? We are a trustworthy company, we just want a way to communicate that visually, and it seems organization seals and logos are the way to go. Thanks!

What is the Best Way To Structure A Growing Internet Marketing Firm?
I have been asking a lot of personal friends (who own SEO companies) this question and have found that it seems to be on all of their minds. From BlueGlass to a small start up consulting firm, it seems that everyone is doing things different and constantly shaking it up. I am wondering what SEOMozers are doing/have done for their company structure?
