Deleting old obsolete pages from the Page Grades section?
-
Last year we did a total site overhaul, moving from an old ASP site setup to a new WordPress set up. I notice that there are still a handful of old ASP pages being graded still - and turning up as F of course.
I tried marking them and deleting them, but hitting delete makes the check box clear, but does not remove the page. How do I get them totally out of grading circulation?
Also, some of the links are showing with session info and extra unnecessary characters - how can I clean those links up?

Hello!
Our devs are working on a way to allow unwanted page grades to be removed from campaigns and we hope to have a solution ready very soon. As for the URLs session Ids our crawler will follow links as they are linked from the source code of a referring page and javascript can add those parameters as our crawler cannot parse javascript links that well.
With AJAX content like this, I know Google's full specifications: https://developers.google.com/webmasters/ajax-crawling/docs/specification indicate that the #! and ?escaped_fragment= technique works for their crawlers. However, Roger is a bit picky and isn't robust enough yet to use only the sitemap as the reference in this case. Luckily, one of our wonderful users came up with a solution using pushState() method.
Click here: http://www.moz.com/blog/create-crawlable-link-friendly-ajax-websites-using-pushstate to find out how to create crawl-able content using pushState . This should help our crawler read AJAX content. Let me know if this information works for you!

All of the links have been redirected months ago, and they work. It just appears odd that these old pages that have been dead and redirected for over a year, would still appear on our grade sheet.
As for links, our donation pages are of course dynamic, but with it being on this ranking the way it is, it also seems to be on the full Moz report, and that causes it to be recognized as duplicate content, title, etc. with the actual non-dynamic link, as well as being marked as "overly dynamic."
Links like:
SHOULD actually be:
http://secure.ob.org/site/Donation2?5621.donation=form1&df_id=5621
The rest is just session details.

If those pages are still ranking in the top 50 for one of the keywords in your campaign, they will continue to be graded. The on-page tool automatically grades pages in the top 50, giving you the opportunity to do a little work to improve a page that is already starting to rank. The fact that they have an F doesn't make any difference to anything.
However, you might not want sub-optimal pages hanging around--you could either redirect them to an appropriate new page (301) or else just 404 them (not found). If you have already done this, it might just need more time for Moz to catch up.
As far as the links, which links do you mean? Sometimes people do link to sites using links with extra, unnecessary characters.

Page Optimization problem in Moz
Hello there, I've been using Moz Pro for a year now, and encountered I've encountered small issues here and there (like some features not working currently, but they start working after a few hours tops) but now I have a bigger issue. Page Optimization feature stopped working and it's dead for five days now. Even my older research is gone. (check the images) Anyone else having this problem, or is it just me? It says that the crawler is blocked or the page isn't working, and when I check the pages in other platforms with crawlers it all goes smooth. All of the pages are working, and all of the crawlers (tested even in Google console) are doing fine. I even had the Moz crawler on 04.07.2019 as the standard week crawl and I got the results. Everything else is working just fine, I have a problem with the Page Optimization feature only. Thanks in advance, Ivan Ga4LKkQ

Top pages according Link Explorer shows 301 pages and images
I was looking at the top pages on my website using Link Explorer, it contains 301 pages and image URLs. Is this expected or I should be doing something to fix it? URL with second highest PA in site is a page already 301 redirected more than 6 months back. URL with highest PA in my blog is a random image in the blog, rather than any blog posts. Is this normal? Thanks -Aji

Why is the Moz tool bar page analysis saying my website is from Romania when we are in the United States?
So when I go to my client's website, https://www.paracore.com/ and on the home page, I use the Moz toolbar. From there I then use the "Page Analysis." If you look at the "URL" line there is a Romanian flag next to the site name. Then I scroll down within the page analysis and the "Country" line says Romania. This is a WordPress site, and the company is based in Arizona. Can anyone explain to me if this is code that I can find and change or remove? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Moz Crawler not Identifying all Duplicate Pages
On two recent site crawls (9/27/14 and 11/4/14) for duplicate content the Moz tool did not ID the following 2 pages, which are 100% duplicate to each other: http://www.hooksandlattice.com/planter-hampton-241212.html ; Screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/DdwWroUU http://www.hooksandlattice.com/planter-hampton-721212.html ; Screenshot: http://screencast.com/t/8Lb1cJZmGrhX As I'm working feverishly to re-write and update the site (goal is ZERO duplicates) I'm finding it challenging to use the Moz tool to get the project done. Does anyone have any feedback or help they can provide for how I can identify all duplicate pages associated with my domain? Thank you! Lindsey Pfeiffer

On Page reporting Issue
Hi I’ve recently downloaded my onpage analysis report for our site http://www.health2000.co.nz . The column that is titled “Missing data description Tag” says false, which I’m assuming means the meta description is present. However in the column titled “meta _description tag” there is no meta description present (nor is any meta description in the backend of my site. Could someone please explain why this would occur? I look forward to hearing from you Regards Pete
