How to appear on Google Maps
-
We have a Google+ Local page, however, we are not appearing at all in Google Maps when searched for relevant keywords, such as Tax Accountant Dandenong (for google.com.au).
What can we do to make sure that our business appears on Google Maps when relevant keyword phrases are searched?
-
-
Full and correct NAP (Name, Address, Phone)
-
Local Citations with consistent NAP
-
Verified G+ Local Page - this needs to be properly set up
And your business appearing on the map is influence by the keyword competition and your competitors as well (how many reviews they have, how may relevant citations, etc).

Does Google call your satellite offices and ask what's down the street?
Is this a real thing? Do they actually do this? Should I be concerned and train my receptionists to know their surroundings?

Can I use the same interior photos for multiple stores in Google My Business?
Hi, The company I work for has many store locations across the country. Getting good/quality interior pictures has become very difficult for us. We recently good a Virtual Tour from Google for one of the locations, and they took some really pictures. According to Google, the "Photos should represent the actual business" and "Represent the real-world business location". My question is: since our stores are VERY similar in the interior, can we use the same pictures for them while we get more pictures? Would Google penalize this? Thanks!

Local SEO: How to get local business showing up in Google Local
Hello, We moved to a small town in Council, ID. It's interesting. None of the businesses around here are showing up in Google Local - map, phone number, hours, etc. Nothing. It's all Yelp and stuff. Is there some sort of collective local SEO that has to be done to get Council, ID on the map? It's kind of strange that no businesses show up. I want to help local businesses, but I don't know if Google will even register them. We can get a group of local businesses together if we have to. Let me know what we can do. Thanks.

Map placement on google disappear after claiming business
Hi guys 1st of all pls bear with me as i am new to this, google created a page for our business im not sure how probably its automatic and since it was created by google its unclaimed. My friend have been telling us that everytime he search for our business which is a furniture business located in the philippines he just type in our exact business name "evergreen diamond school supplies" then map or location appear on the right side of the google search engine. After finding out about google business from a friend i tried to claim our business page, we hire a web developer to build a website for us and since our business name is too long "evergreen diamond school supplies" the dev team suggested a shorter name which is "edssph.com" since "edss.com" is not available then after 2 weeks site was done and we launched it. We claimed the unclaimed business page of our business and it took us 3 weeks to receive the post card and now it was verified. We are very happy and when we type our business name "evergreen diamond school supplies" map appears and contact #'s are there and all the necessary info users need but after 2 days whenever i type "evergreen diamond school supplies" location doesnt appear anymore i have to type in "evergreen diamond school supplies taguig" where taguig is our city where our business is located, so what happened? i hope someone here can guide me. If "eevergreen diamond school supplies" doesnt work anymore i am fairly new to local SEO so i'd like to know what happened or what could i have done wrong. thanks in advance

Rankings on Google local search
Hi, I have been experiencing different rankings while searching with Google local site such as on: google.com.mt > English interface google.com.mt > native language interface but still searching in English. The search phrase is always in English. Also in both occasions the SERPs would contain English listings. There would be no Local/Map listings that affect results order. What is the solution to increase visibility on both English interface and native language interface? Thanks! Conrad

Structured Data in Google Webmaster Tools
Have noticed a significant drop in structured data items and pages on GWT in the last one week. We have not made any changes and can still see that we have the rich snippet implementation in place across our site. Has anyone else noticed this drop? What could be possible reasons for the same? On 8th July we had 646,801 items showing up on Structured Data, which dropped to 227,529 on 11th July and 66,161 on 14th July 2014!! TIA Asif

How do URL's influence Google Rankings?
Hi There, I have a new client who wishes to rank in Google UK for 'Antique Fireplaces London'. Currently they rank 49th. They do not know their logins for Google Local (where they have 40+ positive reviews). And have very mess social activity (which i am trying to sort out). The domain is around 8 years old - website has just been redone (drupal) where a lot of the former SEO errors were corrected) but they seem to be outranked by much newer websites that have much lower domain authority and less inbound links. My client also has much more recognition in online trade magazines and newspapers than most of their competitors. Would buying some additional domains with the keywords they wish to rank for help? Or will this look dodgy to google? Any other quick tips to give them a boost?
