BOTW is (or was) one of the better directories to submit to, but it definitely won't make or break your SEO efforts.
Although a link is a link (and links are good right?), I would save your money and develop more content for your website.

To answer your question, YES, it has high trust and high authority so a link from that site would definitely help in terms of SEO.

One quick suggestion - really try not to link build with SEO value on your mind. Of course you want good links and to not get dinged, but if you're basing good links on solely the SEO value they are providing (which I am not saying you are), you're heading down a bad path if you start out on that foot.
All in all - the best way to link build is to ask the following questions:
- Does this link help my website?
- Is this link relevant to my website?
- Would I trust this site (that's linking to me) if I landed on it?
- Is the website or content in which I am being linked from topically relevant to my website?
- If you check metrics - does anything about the metrics (domain authority, page authority,Majestic, SEMRush traffic/ranking data, etc) make me feel uneasy?
That being said - Best of the Web is a good link, I have never had issues with it or heard of others having issues with that link. If you find value in it for your website, then go for it! Here is a quick glance at the metrics for OSE.

NoFollow & Directory Scraper Backlinks
I was wondering how important it was to remove/disavow: NoFollow backlinks - many ("buy viagra" etc). Directory backlinks - many questionable/generic directories. Obviously the focus is the equity passing links but both of the above constitute a significant proportion of backlinks to the site - I've seen that "scrapers" are seen as natural and obviously NoFollow do not pass link juice - but does the sheer number have a bearing and therefore make them equally important to address? Article submission web-sites and SEO
Does article submission web-sites have any impact to SEO in these days? There are a lot of good/not so good article submission databases, but does it really matter if you spend a time to write unique articles for them? I mean, is it a good way for link-building, or should I spend more time for other parts of SEO? There are also a special websites (for example SubmitYourArticle) which automate this process, does it make sense to use this services? Alternates? Best way to remove unwanted links
Hello, The site I work with has a number of unwanted, unrealted and just generally spammy sites linking to our site. What is the best way to ask them to remove the links (formal notice asking to remove or more of a "hey, can you get remove this for us as a favor" tone)? Best Keyword reseach tool for spanish site?
Good morning to all. I am looking for a good keyword research tool for spanish website. The google keyword tool does not give enought long tail keywords and wordtracker does not provide good results for spanish sites. Does anybody here have experience with a good keyword tool for spanish sites?
