International SEO, Ecommerce & Rich Snippets
-
I have an Australian Ecommerce site. I also sell to NZ and USA . As part of the user experience it will detect where you are and change the currency accordingly. so when google crawls - the currency will always be USD I guess ( because it is a US IP address ). My question - how can I embed ecommerce microdata that will show the correct currency / price to the correct country in SERPS ?

wonderful thanks.

Hi Marty
I would take a look at the following resources:
International SEO (Moz)
The International SEO Checklist (Moz)
Use hreflang for language and regional URLs (Google)
Auto change currency based on location (Shopify - this will depend on your eCommerce solution, however)
Product Markup (schema.org)What eCommerce solution are you using? They should have a resource on how to do this auto change.
Hope this helps! Good luck!

Here is an example of a mark-up for multiple currencies:
itemtype="http://schema.org/Offer">
itemtype="http://schema.org/Offer">
The example is coming from a reliable source
With this mark-up Google should be perfectly able to show the correct price in the SERP's, depending on the country of origin of the user.
Hope this helps,
Dirk

How do I Enable Rich Snippets for an Events Page that is updated weekly?
Hello Moz World! I have a client that has an events page that they update every week. They conduct weekly demos with current customers and potential customers for their software. They post dates, times and topics for each demo. I'd like to enable event rich snippets for their website (see attached image for an example), but I am unsure exactly how to do that. A) Do I just need to setup Event Schema Tags? Does it need to be updated manually every week? Is their a software solution? Thanks ahead of time for all the great responses! Cheers Will H. 8Wsh3l8

International Domains for SEO
My company is international and we have websites for each country with Country Code Top Level Domains (ccTLD). I am in the US and I am seeing that other countries such as Costa Rica and Germany are ranking above us in search results. I thought Google automatically geo-targeted users by default and therefore I should only get .com or US results. Any idea why other countries would rank above our site?

Suggestions for a SEO Review
I think it would be beneficial to have a third party seo review of the network of sites my team and I manage and was wondering if any of you had suggestions for what sort of tests should be done or that we should expect to see done during one of these reviews. We are a small team who has varying seo experience and have been working hard to make improvements to our sites in the past year. Most of our sites have been completely overhauled in the last 12-16 months and seo work that had not been done in the past has been setup, along with some corrections that may have been harming seo. We believe we are on the right track and have learned a good amount about seo in that time, but it would be nice to have some "expert" feedback outside of our office to get a clearer picture on anything we may be missing or some suggested improvements. A sort of double check on the work we have done.

Using standard title and description tags with rich snippets are there potential conflicts
Recently I've employing rich snippets using the guides from schema.org I find them a great way to let the search engines understand the content of my web pages, also author and publisher tags are all thrown into the migreat great love it. My question however is what to do with the existing title and description tags? Should they be left in? Do they cause conflicts with the search engines? Should I just ignore this gut feeling and leave them in. Any insights into the use of schema and a standard tags appreciated. Best David

SEO Company for launching eCommerce initiative?
Hi there, What SEO companies would you recommend if you were looking at launching an eCommerce initiative (National)? Ideally in the North of England, but any other suggestions would be really welcome. Having attended SearchLove London, a company such as Distilled obviously comes to mind when looking further afield. I am probably opening myself up to quite some self-promo messages with this but was just wondering who the SEOmoz Community considers experts in the field of SEO for eCommerce. Cheers Greg

SEO - Product Related MiniSites: Hosting & Domains
Hey Mozzers, I would first like to thank everyone in advance for replying to my question 😉 Actually, my question is 2-part: Hosting & Domains 1) We are currently researching product-related domains and would like to build-out review style mini-sites on WordPress that link back to our main site product pages. We're using X-Cart platform and X-Cart offers a WordPress module. My Dev. recommends installing a main WordPress mini-site template on my server and replicating this template under different domains/unique content, obviously ;-). -My questions is; For backlink purposes, would it be better to host these WordPress pages in a different location/server? 2) Domains (which domain extensions are the best): I have read mixed reviews on this subject ... a) Do dashes (i,e. brand-model.com) have an impact as well?? I read a post regarding this; http://www.commonsensemarketing.net/do-domain-name-extensions-matter/ - and the general feeling was that .com and .net ranked higher, faster but that .info wasn't a bad runner up. I was a bit excited to hear that .info wasn't a bad choice as they are actually "available" and cheap as well (under 3 bucks) until a comment was posted about a "Market Samurai" study. They reported testing 4 domain names (below) with the same article, date & time post . 1. domainname.com

2. domainname.org
3. domainname.net
4. domain-name.com -My question is: Can anyone give any advise on which domain extensions work better/rank higher faster? com / .net / .org / .info / ect? Also, is it better to have more product related keywords in the domain? Example, one of my products is the "Dogtra 280ncp Platinum". WordStream exact match tells me that "dogtra 280ncp" gets 210 searches per month and that "dogtra 280ncp platinum" gets another 91 searches per month. I'm guessing that its better to buy www.Dogtra280ncpPlatinum.com instead of www.Dogtra280ncp.com as we would pick up the searches for the "platinum" term as well? Question Summary: Is it better to host these mini-sites on another server than my main site? Which domain extensions work better? Is it better to use as many product related keywords in the domain as possible and maybe even throw modifiers in there as well such as "buy" or "review"? Thanks Again!
