Is there a way to index important pages manually or to make sure a certain page will get indexed in a short period of time??
-
Hi There!
The problem I'm having is that certain pages are waiting already three months to be indexed. They even have several backlinks. Is it normal to have to wait more than three months before these pages get an indexation? Is there anything i can do to make sure these page will get an indexation soon?
Greetings
Bob

Hi Jimmy,
It seems that the page is not indexed yet. I fetched the page again and this time it said succesful. Now the URL is tagged to index, so i will notice tomorrow if the page is getting indexed. Thank you very much for your help!

Hi Bob,
Is the page currently partially indexed or not at all now?
What is the exact message Google says about the livechat?
If the on-page code is causing problems then the good advice from Ben won't help until it is resolved.Kind Regards

Hi there
I answered a question a few minutes ago with the same layout, so don't be offended if you run across these suggestions again!
Here are some suggestions to help the process:
- Check your server responses
- Check your robots.txt and meta tags
- Verify your site in Google & Bing Webmaster Tools
- Check and see if there are any issues in Webmaster Tools
- Update your sitemap and upload it to Google & Bing Webmaster Tools
- Make sure your site is crawlable for Googlebot
- Google also crawls through inbound links to your site - take a look at your Local SEO for some potentially quick and easy wins
- Check your internal links to make sure they are follow
Running through those should help you find the issue rather quickly - hope this helps! Good luck!

Hi Jimmy,
Thank you for your answering the question I stated above. What i forgot to tell in my story is that I already fetched as Google but the page only gets partially indexed. Since then, the situation hasn't changed and the page doesn't get's an indexation. Google says our livechat tool Zopim (type AJAX) blocks the crawling while other pages do get succesfully fetched while having the same tool.

Are the backlinks from external pages, rather than internal? If you can get an external backlink or two pointing at the page that may help indexation speed. The easiest - but least reliable for ensuring indexation - way would be to mention the new page on social media from a few accounts including Google +.

Hi,
If you do a 'Fetch as Google' in Google Webmasters Tools (under the Crawl menu) there is a submit to index button once it successfully finds the page.
Kind Regards
Jimmy

Is my page being indexed?
To put you all in context, here is the situation, I have pages that are only accessible via an intern search tool that shows the best results for the request. Let's say i want to see the result on page 2, the page 2 will have a request in the url like this: ?p=2&s=12&lang=1&seed=3688 The situation is that we've disallowed every URL's that contains a "?" in the robots.txt file which means that Google doesn't crawl the page 2,3,4 and so on. If a page is only accessible via page 2, do you think Google will be able to access it? The url of the page is included in the sitemap. Thank you in advance for the help!

Is it detrimental to make a site wide change from .html to .shtml (all pages)?
We have an established website with decent domain authority. My developer inherited the site from another developer and is recommending that we convert all pages from the .html to the .shmtl From an SEO perspective, would this hurt us? Also, if this is not an issue, would updating the canonical help us, or does the canonical setting only deal with the "www." vs. "non-www"? Any insights will be appreciated greatly. Thanks!

Anything new if determining how many of a sites pages are in Google's supplemental index vs the main index?
Since site:mysite.com *** -sljktf stopped working to find pages in the supplemental index several years ago has anyone found another way to identify content that has been regulated to the supplemental index?

Can I use a 410'd page again at a later time?
I have old pages on my site that I want to 410 so they are totally removed, but later down the road if I want to utilize that URL again, can I just remove the 410 error code and put new content on that page and have it indexed again?

SEOMOZ and Webmaster Tools showing Different Page Index Results
I am promoting a jewelry e-commerce website. The website has about 600 pages and the SEOMOZ page index report shows this number. However, webmaster tools shows about 100,000 indexed pages. I have no idea why this is happening and I am sure this is hurting the page rankings in Google. Any ideas? Thanks, Guy

Would it make sense to add no-follow on certain interlinks?
I run a job board and some results pages may display Page 1, 2, 3 last. Should I consider making those page numbers no-follow. What about sign in and join us pages? There is nothing of relevance on those pages. I have previously posted a similar question and was advised not to no-follow pages from my own site. However, I see very successful competitors no-following very few select interlinks (like the page 1, 2, 3 scenario). This does not mean their approach is the best, but it makes me question......

Why do I get duplicate page title errors.
I keep getting duplicate page title errors on www.etraxc.com/ and www.etraxc.com/default.asp, which are both pointing to the same page. How do i resolve this and how bad is it hurting my SEO.

Why is a 301 redirected url still getting indexed?
We recently fixed a redirect issue in a website, and although it appears that the redirection is working fine, the url in question keeps on getting crawled, indexed and cached by google. The redirect was done a month ago, and google shows cached version of it, even for a couple of days ago. Manual checking shows that its being redirected, and also a couple of online tools i checked report a 301 redirect. Do you have any idea why this could be happening? The website I'm talking about is www.hotelmajestic.gr and its being redirected to www.hotel-majestic.gr
