Enable Ecommerce Tracking with Google Tag Manager

Hello all,
I am having an issue with tracking the sales on a webshop, and I would like to know how I can enable the ecommerce tracking with Google Tag Manager?
Right now I am tracking the pageviews fine, firing a Universal Analytics tag.
How can I achieve this?

We found exactly the same thing, the GTM is very complex! As such we came to the same conclusion and decided to also sick with the normal GA system.
I did get GTM working though but found the results it provided to be not a great deal better.

Thank you for your answer. I have looked at how I could integrate the ecommerce functionality with GTM, but it is not as easy as I hoped it would be.
The normal way of just flipping a switch in GA, is much easier, so I just think I will stick to that for now. Thank you!

If you have your google tag manager code published already on your site all you need to do is add some additional code for the ecommerce features, which can be found at: https://support.google.com/tagmanager/answer/6106097?hl=en
We found that this was not the only way to do this and we found GA's own tracking to work much easier than via Tag Manager.

Query on Implementing Product Impression Via Tag Manager?
Hi All, I have to implement Product Impression tracking as per this - https://developers.google.com/tag-manager/enhanced-ecommerce#product-impressions but In our product listing page we show 33 products in total. If we need to track the product impression of only those products which are visible currently in the screen. If we have 3 products in one row, then there should be 3 product impressions and when we do 2nd scroll then again 6 product impression and so on. How can we implement this? In this guide - https://developers.google.com/tag-manager/enhanced-ecommerce#product-impressions nothing mention like such things. In my case we I scroll the page on 1st scroll only 33 impression fall down even though I am able to see only 3 products. Hope you understood what I mean?

Referral Traffic from Google
Hello, I have a question about my company's new website. I've worked in SEO and studied Google Analytics results for a few years now but have never really come across something like this. I started in this position in January of this year and when I started breaking down the traffic sources in Google Analytics, I noticed most of the traffic was coming from Google.com as a referral source. I had never seen Google.com as a referral source before so I looked into options for what it could be. It was not a paid ad and our organic traffic was coming through in Analytics, Before I could get any further, our new website was launched (we switched CRM's to WordPress) and the referral traffic from google went from 2,966 in January of 2015 to 22 in February 2015. for more comparison, in February of 2014, the referral traffic from Google was 2,496. I expected a drop when we switched CRM's but we correctly re-directed all pages and created a new sitemap and our organic traffic is up since the switch (not enough to cover drop in referral). I thought at first this had to do with our Google sellers account being de-activated when we made the switch, but I quickly fixed this over a month ago and no change. I'm wondering if anyone has ever seen Google.com come through as a referral source in Google Analytics and if they we're able to figure out what it actually was. This would be a great help! Google as referring domain
Hi all, a colleague asked a question, which I could not answer (never even noticed this "problem") 😞 When we are logged into our GA account and go the referring domains section, we find Google. I always thought that these visitors came via Google Image Search, but not all of them do. Most of them come via "/imgres", but some come via "/" (always thought that "/" was the homepage?), "/url" and "//" Maybe I am just stupid, but honestly I could not explain what these strings mean... or how these visitors landed on our site... Can you help me???

High bounce rate from Google Shopping
Hi Mozzers, I'm carrying out some analysis on our eCommerce site and the bounce rate from Google Shopping is well above the site average at 60%. Our shopping feed is submitted to Google every morning so we know that images and prices are up-to-date which would obviously cause a high bounce rate. Any ideas on what might cause this? Is it normal for Google Shopping to produce a high bounce rate? Cheers guys!

Google Analytics Options
A couple of months ago, I read about a new web stats application that is real time but more importantly let's you track user actions on a page (i.e. which buttons were clicked for example). This information would obviously be very helpful in continuing to improve site performance. Anyone have suggestions or know the name of this application? I do not mind paying but am not looking for an enterprise class application.

Campaign tracking and duplicate content
Hi all, When you set up campaign tracking in Google Analytics you get something like this "?variable=value parameters" in the URL. If you place such a link on your site as an internal link, will it be considered as a different URL and will have its own link value? The question I have is, since Google knows it's a Google link and knows the original URL (by stripping the tags), does it pass link value to the original URL? If not, what can be done to pass link value? Thanks in advance. Henry

Hi, Google Analytics does not provide IP addresss of the visitors. What if i develop some in-house tracking mechanism to do so? Is it allowed or will Google penalize me if it comes to know about it? Thanks
