Multilingual keyword research
-
Does anyone have any experience in multilingual SEO? We are looking for software that conducts research for GEO Locations such as UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan & India. Writing content for each of these countries is difficult unless we speak their language, we could look at outsourcing the translation but conducting keyword research for each location is almost impossible.

The regions you're talking about our actually in alignment with a project we are doing right now. If you have a lot of translation needed we could possibly help each other.
for keyword research in "UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan & India."
I do everything Patrick talked about but in addition I utilize this tool for finding keywords in areas
What I have found is that data is very tough to get however we have resources that can translate this properly.
You may find this interesting as well

Hi Joshua,
I think I have the hassle-free solution for you!
If you're asking this question with regards to the site listed on your profile (which is in English), as a first step I would not get into translating your content at all.
The products on your site are relatively high-end which are more suited to the more affluent consumers in India who will commonly be searching in English, rather than Hindi, Urdu or one of the many other languages spoken there. Also, approximately 80% of the population in the UAE are expats (of which many are British or American) so again, no need to translate for the moment.
If you start to see good results in these countries with the English versions, that's the time to think about investing in the local languages. Particularly as it's not just the associated cost of translating the website; you should also have native speaker customer service reps for example.
Use the Google Keyword Planner to see how many searches there are in English in these countries. Testing like this is a crucial part of international SEO so you don't waste money on translation and localization which can be expensive.
My suggestions above are based on the assumption that you will have local domains for each country eg, example.co.in (for India). If you want to target these countries with your main .co.uk domain, start some Google AdWords campaigns (in English) targeted to those countries and see how they go; if it works, then you can look further into the big international SEO question of wheather to use local domains, subdomains or folders to target those countries and languages.
Hope that helps

Hi there
I would look into the following:
SEMRush - You can check out competitors in different regions / countries, how they rank, and what content of theirs in performing best. You can break this down by Google properties in different countries.
Majestic - See what kinds of links competitors are getting in different regions / countries, and what their top linked to content is. This will help you prioritize what content is working best and least for others in different regions.

I have done it for an ecommerce site and I found there was no simple solution. Be great to hear if there is one.
I chose or knew the keywords then went to google translate. Then put those keywords into various tools to see how they extrapolated out. ie Adwords keyword tool. I also used semrush. Also put some onus on keywords on the client.
Because I was also terrified that the translate and then "my combination" might not means what I hope it to mean I then got it reviewed by a native speaker. Great learning curve. That was where I learnt the most from speaking to a local. There is heightened risk not speaking to a someone fluent - so I would not recommend publishing without doing that.
After that it is a process - move back to the re-fining the standard and arduous practices we already know about in keyword research. I was chasing simple clothing keywords and then fortunately the retailer was opening shops which made the job easy.

Keywords. Who to trust.
Hello, I'm baby and family photographer. I have done my keyword research. Used Keyword tool. According to the research tool it says that highest local search traffic for baby market would be keywords like cute babies, baby pictures. I asked many of my clients what they would enter in search box if they were to look for baby photographer. Pretty much everyone has said that there would be some form of photographer word in search term with baby word. So like baby photographer, photographers, baby photo studio etc. Unfortunately these type of terms are under 10 searches per month. I have only two relevant pages to target these baby keywords. I'm really wondering who actually uses terms like cute babies, baby pictures. I have a feeling that those searches are made by like photo agencies, newspapers, stock libraries etc. I don't think mum who looks for photographer is suing these search terms. When you do your research, do you take in account metrics or go by more human element and try to look at it from clients perspective. What they would be searching for? Thank you guys, Just don't want to mess up with this and make sure I do the right thing.

Keyword Density and ALL CAPS
Hello everyone, New member and first time asking a question! Having a disagreement about keyword stuffing on a home page. The client has 14 mentions of their brand all IN CAPS. So it's sentences like ... BRAND was established in 1968 and has become one of the biggest leaders in the donut industry. In fact, BRAND has created a strong BRAND community ... etc. [the lead paragraph is three sentences and four mentions of BRAND] A design agency that is also in the picture says that this is fine because the word appears naturally in the sentence. Can you either 1) tell me I'm wrong and explain why or 2) give me some ammo to give to my client to support my argument. Thanks! Lisa

Keyword Conundrum...
I have 3 keywords that I am targeting. Assume for the time being that they are all equally competitive. Includes local exact match monthly searches: Managed IT Services - 3600 IT Managed Services - 720 Managed IT Support - 170 They are all exactly synonymous, not to mention other keywords such as IT Managed Support, Managed IT Service, IT Managed Service, Managed IT Service Provider, etc.. My current strategy is to target the top 3 all on one page. The problem then is the title tag: Managed IT Services | IT Managed Services | Managed IT Support Pretty spammy. I could build pages for all 3, but how would I incorporate them into the website since they are all synonyms. Can I get some recommendations on how to handle this? What would you use for a title tag? How would handle separate pages with synonymous content?

Reasonable price for Keyword Research
If I knew what to look for I would do it myself. But I want it done now. The words would relate to one broad category with possible gold that can be mined from 12 sub-categories categories. In my preliminary seat of the pants research I didn't find much in the sub-categories but there were around 10 key words in the broad categories. I am getting a lot of long tail words ranked but I don't believe there is hardly any traffic. Does anyone know what a reasonable estimate is for this degree of keyword research? Also if anyone would like to submit a bid for this work please personal email me. Utah Tiger.

Most Important Keyword Term
Question about a sites most important keyword term. So lets say you have a website and your most important keyword term is "Blue Widgets", you also have a page named "blue-widgets.htm". What do we do with our index page in this instance? Especially for the title tag? Should I put "Blue Widgets" in the title tags of both pages? I'm guessing this would be a duplicate meta tag error? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
