Major Drop in URLs that Received Organic Search Visits
-
Hi there!
I can't figure out this issue. We had a major drop in URLS receiving organic search visits (according to Koz) yet our traffic hasn't seemed to drop in correlation. Our site had a major issue at the end of may (*hence the drop in search traffic) but it seems to have recovered, yet URLs that Received Organic Search Visits has dropped dramatically.
I've looked at Google updates but can't seem to find anything, what am I missing?

Hi guys!
Thanks so much for the response!
I did think it was an algorithm change, however the problem is- overall traffic hasn't dropped, and if anything, like that blue line, has increased and stayed steady. I attach screenshots of search console and mobile traffic.
I'm having trouble finding any search algorithm change that would cause a drop in pages receiving traffic but not overall traffic?

Hi there
Yeah, I would be interested to see what Google Analytics says or your data in Google Search Console. Do you have these two items installed? If not, do so (here's information for Analytics and Search Console), track if anything pops up or changes, and go from there.
There was algorithm update in May that pertained to quality, it was called "Phantom" on some outlets:
The Quality Update: Google Confirms Changing How Quality Is Assessed, Resulting In Rankings Shake-Up (SEL)
Google “Phantom” Update Rolling Out Targeting Informational, ‘How-To’ Content (SEJ)I would also be interested to know how your mobile traffic is performing, and has over the last few months, with the Mobilegeddon update that happened in April. Chatter has been happening around it more lately as webmasters are starting to feel the effects.
Let us know! Good luck!

Hi,
What does your Google Analytics tell you? Is Google seeing a drop in traffic, rather than Moz?

Difference between urls and referring urls?
Sorry, nit new to this side of SEO We recently discovered we have over 200 critical crawler issues on our site (mainly 4xx) We exported the CSV and it shows both a URL link and a referring URL. Both lead to a 'page not found' so I have two questions? What is the difference between a URL and a referring URL? What is the best practice/how do we fix this issue? Is it one for our web developer? Appreciate the help.

Massive Drop in Rankings
Hello, My site (www.reynoldsdesignstudio.com) has recently dropped off the map (50+ places) for almost every phrase I was ranking between 3 and 6 on the first page. My main phrases on google were "web design rochester mn", "web development rochester mn" I have been setting up a new web server but have not pointed this domain at that server yet so it shouldn't be anything related there. I also have not updated the site in a couple years (I know that's bad), so it doesn't appear to be a hacking issue either. I was 'hacked' a few years back where I gained a TON of crappy links from China and what-not but it never appeared to affect anything. I'm not sure if that is what is causing the recent drop in rankings. If anyone has any ideas on what could have caused the issue that would be great. According to my GA traffic I had a spike earlier in the month and then it has steadily dropped off. This is consistent with my actual page rankings. Thanks OAsjcHw

Why the discrepancy in organic traffic - monthly report vs analytics
I've been going through my monthly reports, and noticed something odd in the SEO Moz report section showing the visits from organic (non-paid) search engine results. When checking this data against the same data in Google Analytics, everything for the most part seems to line up with the exception of two dates: Jan 09 and Jan 23 of the SEO Moz report show 0 visits, but Analytics shows I do have visits on those days. Any ideas why this would be in the report or what I'm missing? IsePEAS hWBASOd

Rankings Report Visits Number timing?
I linked up the reports to my analytics account, and wanted to double check the period it uses for that number. When showing visits what time period is the report showing me? If I double check my stats in GA it looks like the past week but wanted to double check. Thanks!

Can I see backlinks to a specific URL, not including redirects?
Does SEOMoz have a tool that allows me to see backlinks to a specific URL sans redirected URLs? So, URL is www.website.com/search. www.website.com redirects to www.website.com/search and I want to see how many people have linked to the /search, the resulting URL. Thanks for any help! Erin
