Adwords and Analytics Conversion Tracking within Adwords
-
I am trying to decide whether to setup conversion tracking in Adwords using the website/page as a source, or Analytics. I do understand the (basic) difference, however in tossing up the pro's and con's of each I would be grateful for some input.
The advertiser is in the (offline) retail and service industry and so conversions being tracked include completing a form, making a booking etc - so it is no problem to implement the tracking snippet. My gut instinct is that Analytics is not as accurate as a reflection as the webpage (due to the way it records only the last conversion). Would it be a mistake to use both? (my concern is that double clicks will be recorded)

No problem! Glad to help!

Thank you for the advice and link - it is very helpful. Appreciate the time you took to respond, it answers my question perfectly.

Hi,
Yes implementing both will double your conversion so you have to set up either analytics goal and import them into Adwords or use Adwords conversion tracking.
If you want any traffic going through AdWords to be classed as an AdWords conversion, AdWords conversion tracking would be the preference.
If you want only last-click AdWords conversions to be tracked, import from Google Analytics.

Hope this helps.
Thanks

Do IP and/or DNS changes impact Paid search (Adwords, Bing, etc.)
What impact (if any) does IP or DNS changes, have on paid search campaigns? We recently performed an upgrade to our sites that required a datacenter change (but within the same region East US) and DNS change. We believe there may have been an impact to our ad campaigns in the form of suppression of our ads following the change, specifically - Google Adwords. Is there any information regarding this issue or has anyone experienced this before? Thanks

Adwords disapproving ads with the word "Jewish"?
Hi guys, I do marketing for many nonprofits, and one of my clients is a Jewish women's organization. In the past week or so, Google has started disapproving ads and keywords that have the word "Jewish" in them. I know Facebook got called out recently for allowing people to target based on anti-Semitic sentiments, so I'm wondering if this is just Google's terrible execution of caution. It's telling me that keywords with the word "jewish" in them (like "jewish women's organization in boston" is derogatory or dangerous). I've asked for Google's help, and they've been incredibly slow to respond. Is anyone else facing this with other religions or content? Natalie

Help with getting no conversions
Ok, so let me give you the breakdown here. So I have recently optimized this product and am trying to focus on getting this product to sell a couple times a week before I move onto the next product with SEO. Google has not updated my title and description yet to see if my SEO has been even somewhat successful, so I am waiting on that. While I have been waiting, I started a PPC campaign. I would say over the last 7 days I have had about 250 visitors to this page, however, none of them resulted in any questions about the product, no account signups, no orders that are incomplete and worst of all, No Sales. Here is a copy of the add. Redcat Racing Volcano S30 60 MPHwww.rcnitroshop.com Can someone look at the page and tell me if it looks fishy or if there is a reason you would not buy from this page? Any advice would be appreciated. Also, if you notice any critical SEO errors that would also help! I ran the on-page optimization through SEOMOZ and i got a letter grade of an A with everything 100%. Thanks in advance. I have been working 5-10 hours a day on this website and on eBay and would love for it to actually pay off someday lol. The links to the page are in that add above. How to set up Adwords Account for Keyword Research
Hello, At the advice of some knowledgable people around here, we are setting up a $200-$300 Adwords campaign to determine keyword research. Our site is already doing well but we want to make sure we are targeting all the appropriate terms. What do we need to keep in mind in setting up this campaign. I assume we would do some broad match terms with a bunch of negative matching. Thanks!
