Where are all of my on page links coming from?
-
I am trying to reorganize my site and with that my home page. I want to follow the 100 internal link rule. However when I run a Moz crawl test it says that there is too many on page links. I than went to Moz open site explorer and it said there is 237 links. When I exclude in bound links that still leaves me in the mid 100 range. After counting them my self I can only come up with 75 on page links. Does anyone know how I can find what Moz is referring to? And how I would be able to find where this links are? I might be missing something simple or maybe I don't understand exactly how the Moz tools work. That is why input from this great community would help.
Thanks!

After looking at the source code for your homepage, here are the anomalies I've found:
- A dozen or so links like https://static1.squarespace.com/static/ are in your header. I assume these are due to having built your site through them, but these will still count.
- The "Loving @ Your Best etc." image at the top is a link to the homepage, but so is "Home". That's a bit redundant.
- Each of your navigational items (couples therapy, counseling, etc) is an on-page link which is probably an unnecessary design choice.
- The biggest issue s that you have both your desktop and mobile links on this one source page. That's a big no-no; instead, you should have the page that's fetched determined by whether a user is on mobile or not, and then have a separate page for both. This is likely the biggest source of your headache here.
I hope that helps, Travis.

Could you please provide a link to your site? That would likely help to figure out where the links you're missing are.

Why does the moz bar link count differ from the moz link analysis page
Hi all, Why does the Moz Bar show a different link count from the Moz link analysis page? For example, when I check the SERP below, for the first result, the bar shows 936 page links from 4 RDs. But when I check out the link analysis page, it tells me there are just 141 page links from 4 RDs. What gives? For the second entry, the bar shows 6 page links from 0 RDs. Not sure how that's possible. Can anyone explain these things. Thanks! Moz says my pages don't have rel="canonical" but they do
Hi, I've just had my initial report from Moz and it says my pages are missing rel="canonical". I'm using the Yoast SEO plugin on my WordPress site which adds these automatically. I have also checked the source code for my pages and can see rel="canonical". What has gone wrong please?

Moz campaign for a subdomain with no home page
Hello all, I'm trying to setup a campaign in Moz for one of our subdomains that we use for marketing landing pages. Unfortunately there really is no home/landing page for the subdomain so when I enter it into the campaign settings it says the site isn't accessible. Is there anyway for me to add this? I tried entering the subdomain with a star, e.g. pages.mydomain.com but it would not accept it. Any ideas? Thanks!

How are keywords assigned to the On Page Rankings
Hopefully this isn't a stupid question. I'm new to MOZ Pro so I created a campaign and uploaded about 300 keywords. Our site is an ecommerce site so there are many many products and of course, many pages. My first On Page Ranking Report has completed and naturally we have pages with scores ranging from A to F. What I don't understand is this: for any given keyword, how did that word get assigned to a given page for the purpose of the ranking report? We may have many pages that may include a given keyword so when I look at a page with a score of F, I'm sometimes surprised that a given keyword is assigned to a particular page for the purposes of ranking. Can someone help me understand this architecture?

How does MOZ assign a keyword to a page in the On Page Grades by Keyword Ranking
I'm in the beta analytics tool. In the On Page Optimization > On Page Grades by Keyword section, there is a Keyword column with a keyword assigned to each URL on my site. http://analytics.moz.com/search/on-page/572409.326269 How is the keyword that is shown here decieed upon? Is it simply based on a guess of the "best keyword" for each page based on kwp density and other factors? Can I map a new keyword to each page? or at least to my top ten most important pages? I see I can check the grade for any keyword on any page here: http://analytics.moz.com/search/manage-page-grades/572409.326269. I want to map my top ten pages to ten keywords - can I save these changes in the system so I don't have to manually check a keyword/url match each time? Shaun
