6 Months and still no PA/DA or links by Moz Explorer?
-
Hi,
It's been 6 months and my site is still showing no PA/DA or backlinks according to moz opensite explorer. I know that it has backlinks as I created them myself, and I know its crawlable and the links is there as GWT tells me so. Also you can check for yourself on ahrefs.com.
Is Moz indexed pages that much smaller then the other crawlers?
The site in question is amanandvan247.com.
Thanks.

Hello again - it's hard to say exactly why a website isn't picked up in our index updates. We are constantly working to improve the way our crawler, Rogerbot, operates, so I'm really hoping that your site is picked up in one of the next updates. For now, the best strategy is to keep working on your link building and watch the update schedule for our next index.
Thanks,
Kevin

Doesn't really help. Every other crawler on the net has indexed its pages, google, majestic, ahrefs. Had SEO done on it for past 4 months building backlinks, social bookmarking and even a backlink from the agency that built the site which is indexed by moz.
According to ahrefs, it has 61 backlinks from 19 domains, 67% of which are dofollows.
It's very strange that after 6 months Moz is still acting as though this website does not exist?

Thanks but I have already done all those
Webmaster tools also says there is no problem with non-indexable pages. I've had it submitted to all the top directories for UK and even has a backlink from an agency website which built it, a site which has been indexed by moz.com.

Hi there! Open Site Explorer pulls from our Mozscape index, which updates about once a month. It looks like our next update is scheduled for September 9th. You can always check our update schedule whenever you like!
Most new sites and links will be indexed by our spiders and available in Mozscape and Open Site Explorer within 60 days, but some take even longer for a variety of reasons, including the crawl-ability of sites, the amount of inbound links to them, and the depth of pages in subdirectories.
Just so you know, here's how we compile our index:
- We grab the most recent index
- We take the top 10 billion URLs with the highest MozRank (with a fixed limit on some of the larger domains)
- We start crawling from the top down until we've crawled 180,000,000,000 pages (which is about 35% the amount in Google's index)
Therefore, if the site is not linked to by one of these seed URLs (or one of the URLs linked to by them in the next update), then it won't show up in our index.
We update our Mozscape Index every 4 weeks. Crawling the entire Internet to look for links takes 2-3 weeks, but our crawlers are always collecting data. When we need to put the index together, we grab all the data they have collected and start processing, which can take up to 3 weeks to determine which of those links are the most important.
Mozscape focuses on a breadth-first approach. This means that we almost always have content from the homepage of websites, externally linked-to pages, and pages higher up in a site's information hierarchy. But deep pages that are buried beneath many layers of navigation are sometimes missed and it may be several index updates until we catch all of these.
If our crawlers or data sources are blocked from reaching those URLs, they may not be included in our index (though links that point to those pages will still be available). Finally, the URLs seen by Mozscape must be linked to by other documents on the web, or our index will not include them.
For now, the best thing you can do to help your domain become indexed is to work on link building for links from sites with high Mozrank.
I hope this information helps! While the site and links may not be indexed yet, give it some time - maybe we'll see 'em in OSE next month!
Thanks,
Kevin

Nice Site!
That is odd, it looks like you only have 166 pages indexed with Google. I would upload your sitemap to Google Webmaster Tools as well as Bing.
Also try Fetch as Google in Webmaster tools under "Crawl". Post your main url and be sure to click and all linking urls. This could help speed things up.
With Wordpress you can create a sitemaps with the "Google XML Sitemap" plugin. I also recommend "Yoast SEO" If you have not installed that.

Disavow 60% of the external links?
Hi guys, We just discovered that our website got a 16% Spam Score based on MOZ reports, while less than 1 year ago we had a good 1% if I'm not mistaken. Therefore we ran an audit of the external links to our website and discovered that about 60% of them are irrelevant such as: referral page not available anymore (or not found, or domain not accessible) irrelevant web directories for our business Impossible to contact the owner of these pages or remove the links towards our website.

Is the Disavow tool an acceptable option in this case? Could this lower our Spam Score and make a better impression in "Google's eyes"? 60% seems quite a lot of backlinks, but they are also not relevant, and we want to focus on creating better quality referrals in the next months. I would really appreciate an opinion on this, and how would you proceed in this case.0 -
UPDATE: Rolling back an adjustment which had adverse effects on DA and PA scores.
UPDATE: Yesterday's (June 4, 2018) adjustment to our DA/PA metrics turned out to have some unanticipated adverse effects. We're rolling back the adjustment, so by midday tomorrow you should see your scores return to what they were earlier this week. We're also implementing some new procedural checks on our end to help make sure it doesn't happen again. We sincerely apologize for any stress or burden this may have caused. We also want to emphasize that DA and PA are relative metrics. The scores will fluctuate slightly with the index, and for that reason, should be used to compare your site with others. We realize this isn't always easy to explain to clients and stakeholders, so we're working on ways to help you all report these metrics in ways that minimize the potential for confusion. ****** We are continuing to improve our Domain Authority and Page Authority algorithms and strengthen our link index. As of today, June 14, 2018, You may notice a slight variation in current and historic DA/PA scores in Link Explorer and tools that incorporate our new link data such as Campaigns, Keyword Explorer, and MozBar. This is due to a planned adjustment on our end that could be more noticeable than our standard updates. We made this adjustment in order to account for the rapid growth of our link index over the past 6 months and and stabilize distribution of scores over time. For customers who have been tracking DA scores over time, you may want to make note of this adjustment date in your reporting. Rest assured that our DA and PA scores are still far more stable and accurate than they were previously in Open Site Explorer. Our index is now 20 times larger (and growing) and updating daily rather than monthly, therefore standard fluctuations in the index are far less noticeable in your score than before. DA and PA will still always fluctuate slightly and naturally with the index. As the landscape of the internet changes, so should our index to reflect those changes. Whenever we make an update on our end that could be noticeable on your end, we will let you know. Also, please remember that DA and PA scores should always be understood as relative to other sites’ scores in the index, and reported to clients in relation to their competition and not as a standalone metric of individual performance. If you have more questions about DA or the difference between the new score in Link Explorer vs. the old score in OSE, please read this FAQ page, or post a question below and I or a Mozzer will reach out. Thank you! Ian

Sudden Spike in 404 Pages Not Found in Moz Crawl But No Errors in WMT
Recently I received a spike in errors from the Moz crawler. When I looked into the matter I noticed that all the URI's looked right but then I looked a little closer and there was a /page/2 and /page/3 in front of the URI's. I'm running a WordPress website. Immediately I thought to myself this must be some kind of caching or permalinks error. So I disabled all my plugins including W3 Total Cache and ran the Integrity Link Crawler for the Mac and found that the errors were still popping up. 404-errors-ncworkercomp.png?dl=0

A few questions regarding Moz tools + E-commerce strategy
Hi everyone 🙂 I'm currently in the midst of optimizing a Scandinavian E-commerce site. I have a few questions, that hopefully someone will be able to help me get answered. Firstly, GoogleBots should be able to recognize "ø" as "oe", "æ" as "ae" and "å" as "aa" in the URL title. I've noticed that Moz' On-page grader does not support this unfortunately - has something changed or do Scandinavians just receive a little less love than the English? Secondly, how does one avoid keyword stuffing on E-commerce sites? The products that are displayed in category pages all make use of the same keyword that is targeted for that category. As such, some pages have 40+ mentions of the keyword, although in reality there are less than 15 (the rest being in the product names). Any tips or tricks on how to get this optimized or does Google simply recognize the site as an E-commerce site and somewhat ignores keyword stuffing - as long as the website has sufficient content? Thirdly, has something happened to Moz' Open Site Explorer? It seems like something has changed and when I checked for backlinks for the site today, only 3 was found. I know for a fact that many many more exist (which other tools also confirm when they scrape the site). Looking forward to hearing from all of you! Best, Mark

Moz Toolbar "Get Keyword Difficulty"
New Moz Pro user here, and I've a question about the green "Get Keyword Difficulty" button that shows up to the right of the Google Search Keyword Term Input field after a successful search. Clicking on this seems to have no effect for me what-so-ever. Doesn't take me to the keyword tool, download a report, or add anything to the one screen link analyses in the search results. In short, i'm not sure how this tool is supposed to function. I'm using the latest version of Google Chrome (Version 52.0.2743.60 beta-m (64-bit)) on a Windows 10 machine.

Open Site Explorer - Just Discovered Inbound Links
Hello Moz Forum, Thanks in advance for any help. My website was recently featured in a bunch of high DA journals and magazines. I don't see the inbound links on the open site explorer, but I do see them in recently discovered. My website's Domain Authority hasn't changed a wink. How long does it take, typically to see the recently discovered links under the inbound links portion? Thanks! j1pqVRt

[No Title] in Top Pages using Open Site Explorer
Hello!
Link Explorer | | eagleleather
All of my pages contain properly formatted title tags which display in the browser. However, when I view the 'Top Pages' area of the Open Site Explorer, 99% of those pages show [No Title] in the Page Title & URL column. Does anyone know what might be causing this?0 -
Domain Authority still down
It was mentioned several weeks ago (http://moz.com/community/q/domain-authority-drops) that there had been a 2 point drop in the DA, and it was to be fixed at the "next" index. The index refresh happened 17th Jan but the DA seemed to remain the two points lower than expected. Is it just my sites 😞 or has this not been fixed yet... and will it be fixed? Regards, Gordon
