Is it possible to find out where traffic is coming from on someone else website?
I want to know where the new buyers are coming from who are interested in outsourcing. Attached are some of the pages they would be looking at.
Who are visiting these pages and where are they coming from:

The straight answer to this is NO! You cannot look in to analytics data and see who are visiting these pages and where are they coming from but yes you can always look in to their back link profile and see which websites are linking to those pages and guess accordingly.
Just a thought!

iStorm & David have nailed the answer, you should use a combination of semrush & similarweb. I also use moz to review backlinks - as many will be referrals.
So you have three to cross check. Similarweb gives you the "easy answer" however it should then be cross referenced with moz and semrush - to get a stronger understanding.
Leaving aside referrals similarweb - also has a display advertising function, which offers guidance.
-
Try semrush that will give you an idea of how much paid vs organic traffic they have
-
There are other tools out there that will give you some insights into competitor traffic as well.
SimilarWeb (www.similarweb.com) is a great one that will break down an estimate of traffic sources for a domain. They have quite a good supply of data, and I have found their estimates to be pretty accurate.
-
You cannot see there Analytical data but you can get a idea of their referral traffic from open site explorer and their organic keywords / landing pages by including them in your keyword research.

Temporarily redirecting a small website to a specific url of another website
Hi, I would like to redirect a small website that contains info about a specific project temporarily to a specific url about this project on my main website. Reason for this is that the small website doesn't contain accurate info anymore. We will adapt the content in the next few weeks and then remove the redirect again. Should I set up a 301 or a 302? Thanks

New websites
Hi Moz community, My company updated and used a new developer to build and re-design their charity websites: www.runforcharity.com, www.cycleforcharity.com and www.sportforcharity.com. This sites were "re-launched" at the beggining of December 2015 and I have now been able to get a good 6 weeks worth of data. I've been religiously using Moz.com for a couple of years and I use it simply for SEO purposes. Our websites are built upon organic traffic being driven to them and I have noticed that the PA on the new sites has taken a hammering. They all appear to have a PA of 1 and I'm at a loss why? It appears that no page has h1 text? Would this be an issue with the developer or something the content team is doing wrong? Any help of advice would be much appreciated. Many thanks Ryan

Will Schema help my website?
I'm doing SEO on a website, zing.co.nz, which is a soon to launch company. At the moment there is a splash sight up, which will be replaced by the real sight in a few weeks upon launch. Is it worth me putting in Schemas (for the first time) so that it is recognized as an organization? Will this effect us in the serps? Thanks for your help 🙂

Quotery.com Suggestions?
Hello, I'm hoping to find some advice on how to proceed with a site I started last year — Quotery. I've spent a ton of time and money on it, tried my best to build value to what is typically a copycat niche, and adhered to Google's SEO recommendations (I believe, anyway). Yet, subpar sites rank well above mine. Now I'm wondering if I should find a buyer for the site and cut my losses. Does anyone have any suggestions on what the next steps might be in order to rank higher? Here is what we've tried/accomplished so far: We were mentioned on Netted. We built a well-designed and easy to navigate site that works on all devices. We've added topic descriptions and images, unique author descriptions and pictures, and exclusive picture quotes. We built a well-designed and useful WordPress plugin, and kept the backlinks nofollow (note: our main competitor also has a subpar WordPress plugin with dofollow backlinks, yet they don't get penalized for it). We've published curated blog posts, along with infographics that have been shared millions of time #1, #2, #3. We've built up significant social media profiles on Facebook, Twitter, and elsewhere. We even tried hiring 97thFloor (highly recommended on Moz) for 4 months, although most of their efforts seemed spammy and/or very basic to me (and cost a fortune), so we decided to take SEO into our own hands afterwards. We've added sources, pictures, and relevant information for thousands of quotes (e.g. example seen here). We started working on user profiles, and had plans for much more down the road. However, despite these efforts, sites like BrainyQuote dominate Google's rankings. So is it truly value that will earn you rankings... or is it still all about gaming the system? Of course, any suggestions in my case specifically would be much appreciated.

Drop in traffic after redesign
Is it common for a site to see slight traffic drops after a site redesign (containing cleaner code, more usability and basically just being more helpful for the end user)? A new site of ours went live last Wednesday and has experienced a drop in traffic. If you have seen this in your own site, how did you recover? And how long did the recovery take?

How to find affiliate sites linking to a competitor website?
Hello here, I am trying to understand the best way to find sites that are affiliate of a competitor, through link research. Typically our competitor's affiliates link to our competitor website via any of the following links: http://www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic/ard.asp?SID=[aff_id]&LID=[link_id] http://click.linksynergy.com/link?id=[aff+id]&offerid=[off_id]&type=2&murl=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.musicnotes.com%2Fsheetmusic%2Fmtd.asp%3Fppn%3D[item_id] The first link looks much easier to find, so I have tried to find the first kind of links with Google by using the "link:" clause as follows: link:http://www.musicnotes.com/sheetmusic/ard.asp Or, similarly, by using Open Site Explorer. But I always get 0 results! It is weird because I know there are thousands of affiliates out there with the same tracking code. How's that possible? Why does it look impossible to find the sites I am looking for? Would you suggest any different approach? Any ideas, suggestions and thoughts are very welcome! Thank you in advance. Fab.

My websites position has dropped, any ideas why?
Hi, First off im new here, so hello to everyone. Now to the reason why I have joined. I am currently trying to rank for 2 terms: **UK Bank Holidays 2013 (Term 1) **and Bank Holidays 2013 (Term 2) The page which im trying to rank these terms on is: http://www.followuk.co.uk/bank-holidays Now some background history: On the 29th Dec 2013, term 1 was 5th and term 2 was 7th - rankings achieved through guest blogging. Last night I changed the h1 tag from 'Bank Holidays 2013' to 'UK Bank Holidays 2013'. Re-worded the meta description to try and increase the CTR. And removed the term 'Bank Holiday' from the end of each sub-heading - Ex: 'New Year's Day Bank Holiday' to 'New Year's Day' - I did this because I felt it was to much so in total 'Bank Holiday' term had been removed from 5 sub-headings. Ok, so I went into WMT and resubmitted for indexing, over night the page got reindexed - the term 'UK Bank Holidays 2013' stayed at the same position (5) BUT the 'Bank Holidays 2013' term dropped into hell at roughly position 250. I'm thinking of changing everything back and crossing my fingers that term which dropped comes back BUT maybe im being to rash and it might jump back as the page stands. I did a grade test using SEOMOZ and both terms generate a grade of 'A'. Has anyone got any ideas? Sorry if the thread is a bit messy im currently crying all over the keyboard as im typing. Thanks
